nice work, ive been trying to build a very fast lego car for a while, i know it needs to be low, light weight, lots of grip and torque, and be arrow dynamic. the problem is my goal is to only use lego, which means im using lego motors
Nateolater Very nice, i also started using multiple lego motors but it's expensive for the provided power. You can visit my website and download a car instruction if you need some ideas for a working system.
For a lego rc car thats INSANE, but you use Brushless power just like I do😎 I own a professional hobbygrade rc speedrun car. It has a 750 watt motor and it does 71.4 mph (114,8) kmh. It takes many many hours to make an rc car go 100+ kmh. I can imagine it took forever to build this one. So again, props to you for building a lego car that can go this fast. Subbed you :)
RC4LIFE Thank you very much!:) Thats exactly the thing i love about building high performance Lego cars. It's not easy and takes improvements after improvements to work like this. It also depends less on spent money than on construction.
I started my RC passion with normal RC cars and didn't like just throwing out money and not constructing my self. It's also much cheaper to maintain because every time you break something on a real RC car it costs 40+€ and I am changing a 15cent Lego part :)
Alternative Engineering haha yep parts can be very expensive. I have driveshafts on my Rustler that cost €85, so if I lose those, its an expensive repair. But again its all about fun nomatter the price
Hi, No the cars are constructed to deal with that power :) My older cars are 4 years old and are driven weekly. Visit my website to take a look at the RS2.1 it's 4 years old and still the same car as seen in the pictures. -www.thealternativeengineering.com/
id love to see it in something like rally, but not going into hills etc... I mean like speeding in flat dirt road :P Ik that it would harm a little bit the system bc dirt would go into de differentials and make a mess but it would be cool to see anyways.Keep it up! :D
Hmm, maybe try FWD for less transmission losses and less weight, (FWD because more stable), remove spoiler xd, maybe add some panels for better aero, also in the end maybe make it RWD and so some drifting :D
FiNiTe Hey, transmission loses are uninteresting, because the power of more than 0,5 bhp is enough to drive 100km/h. I already made some drift videos look at my channel :) The spoiler is necessary for orientation😅
Louis Willems Thank you very much!:) I made a professional lego digital designer instruction for the model and a motorization video just visit my websites :) If you have problems feel free to contact me!
MsCars 25 Hey cool to hear :) i don't have a secret trick its just improving after improving. 1 main aspect is that i was able to make it 4WD which splits the power 50:50 on 2 axles and differentials.
I am making it faster, bigger and stronger and maybe better with a automatic gearbox LEGO parts with an automatic clutch to make sure the gear doesn’t get damaged
EL Valenin Hey, The problem occurred on my instruction or do you make models on your own? I also had a problem fiting gears inside the differential at Lego Digital designer
I know this because I've made my own Lego technic high speed car with a 80turn brushless motor powered by an arduino and controlled by a PS3 Remote Control pad... and yes they like to melt lol - so I have to replace the parts every so often Please take a look of my video of a different Arduino Lego car I made too
Nice video though I must say, please let me know what you think of my Arduino car with the Ps3 controller, it's on my channel (this is not the brushless motor one though)
overgamer 635 i guess you are using lego motors which are not very powerful. If you want a performance like seen in the video you have to get the same motorization- www.thealternativeengineering.com
ive got a question if i may ask: How bad is the wear of the gearing (if you understand me) since the gears are turning fast really quickly, i assume the gears are being damaged over time (?) Ive done a similar project too, and my drive shaft gear (the dark grey one/differential) was damaged a little but after seeing this video, im going to continue my project with some better parts :D
After years of trying different builds this here is reliable. I don't have problems with it at all when it's treated right :) Nice feel free to ask when you have problems :)
Tim's PRO with a special 2 components industry glue. It will be shown in the upcoming youtube video how to do it. Visit one of my social media or web site i will post when it is released.
Roman Tom the motor is without a lego parts so diffrent rc motors can be used. In this model i jused a 7 year old china motor which are not available nowerdays.
Coda RM only proper fast Lego motors you can buy are buggy motors with a 15kph top speed, but they’re hard to find now and when you do find them they’re really overpriced
Best Lego car forever!
Thank you very much :) but I am sorry to disappoint you the 3.2 version is nearly finished so there will be a better one ^^
Alternative Engineering :)
Alternative Engineering
but how to actually make such a machine? Where is the instruction?
I made a professional instruction which is available on my website :) alternativeengineeringlego.wordpress.com/
Alternative Engineering oh ;(
nice work, ive been trying to build a very fast lego car for a while, i know it needs to be low, light weight, lots of grip and torque, and be arrow dynamic. the problem is my goal is to only use lego, which means im using lego motors

that looks like an Art-Tech RC brushless motor. I had one on my RC Cessna 182.
Ding :3 hey,
The motor seen in the video is a tower pro 1580kv. At the moment i only the sunnysky 2207 2100kv on all 4 cars.
Could you make part list? I might buy the instruction, but I wanna be sure I have all stuff needed
I can't find the instructions on your website :(
Hello, everything should be available: www.thealternativeengineering.com/
This is the fastest Lego car I’ve ever seen!
Stud Bricks Thank you:) technically the RS3.2 is a faster one😅
Brickolo _ would you call a car made out of wood a “wood car” if it had a v8 engine inside? Doubt it
The Proclaimed I would in fact count it as a wood car since the whole chassis and mechanics would be made of wood.

Alternative Engineering exactly! Rc speedrun cars are are true work of art :) especially if you made one yourself from lego like you did
I started my RC passion with normal RC cars and didn't like just throwing out money and not constructing my self. It's also much cheaper to maintain because every time you break something on a real RC car it costs 40+€ and I am changing a 15cent Lego part :)

this is so true! thats why I prefer lego RC cars too
awesome creation man!
Thank you very much!:)
good idea but the gears will break after some driving i guess ? because they are not made for that speed and power of a brushless motor
Hi,
No the cars are constructed to deal with that power :) My older cars are 4 years old and are driven weekly.
Visit my website to take a look at the RS2.1 it's 4 years old and still the same car as seen in the pictures.

Awesome!

Ik that it would harm a little bit the system bc dirt would go into de differentials and make a mess
but it would be cool to see anyways.Keep it up! :D
Thank you :) I wrote it down on my idea sheet.
:)
My new car looks more buggy like. I think your idea seems to get realized :)
Alternative Engineering cant wait to see it! :D
Made some dirt runs today was a lot of fun :)
Great work
Thank you! :)

i want do buy this dude its really nice !!
Louis Willems Thank you very much!:) I made a professional lego digital designer instruction for the model and a motorization video just visit my websites :) If you have problems feel free to contact me!
Everything is linked in the description
What about axles damaged from heat caused by friction?
Coole Arbeit
danke dir
:)
How is it that the lego parts don't melt at such high speeds??
a tutorial pliiiiz
I tried to build a car like that too, but it destroyed all my differentials and axles, what did you do, whats your trick?
MsCars 25 Hey cool to hear :) i don't have a secret trick its just improving after improving. 1 main aspect is that i was able to make it 4WD which splits the power 50:50 on 2 axles and differentials.
I am your 331 subscribed
Steam MaussS Thank you for your support! :)
You’re welcome!
I am making it faster, bigger and stronger and maybe better with a automatic gearbox LEGO parts with an automatic clutch to make sure the gear doesn’t get damaged
Nice work :)
Lisa maus thx
I like it
:)
Did u use a spur and pinion on it
Hey I have a problem: When I try to make gears working (Lego digital designer), it doesn`t work. What should I do?
EL Valenin Hey,
The problem occurred on my instruction or do you make models on your own?
I also had a problem fiting gears inside the differential at Lego Digital designer
I make models on my own
The plastic axles and the axle holes must have surely melted at that speed?
Custom Builds haha yes they do that sometimes 😅
I know this because I've made my own Lego technic high speed car with a 80turn brushless motor powered by an arduino and controlled by a PS3 Remote Control pad... and yes they like to melt lol - so I have to replace the parts every so often
Please take a look of my video of a different Arduino Lego car I made too
Nice video though I must say, please let me know what you think of my Arduino car with the Ps3 controller, it's on my channel (this is not the brushless motor one though)
Custom Builds amazing i take a look later😊
When are you going to make instructions for this model?! PLEASE I NEED THEM VERY MUCH!!
Roman Tom working on it wanted to finish my second video first
Thx for your interest
instruction is finished and will be launched in the next days
Link to the instruction is in the description and channel info i hope you have fun building :)
I Started to ad a automatic gearbox on this model with 2 speed and it goes really faster.
My next goal is 5 speed Automatic and maybe a manually mod
Steam MaussS I am curious how you did that🤔 Are you happy with your Rs3.1?:)
Are you going to make a new model?
And yes I am happy
Are you making A new model with automatic gearbox ?
Alternative Engineering because we could work together and maybe we could make some improvements, what do you think About it ?
Not all Lego technic piece
Yes the electronics are 3rd party parts
That's why is fast and powerful. Lego motors sucks
Good luck reaching this speed with lego engines
wow...
faustin BESSOU :)
Old motor?
Braking on this thing will kill too much gears
Umut Topuz Suprisingly it doesn't 😅
Have you ever used panic brake or used smooth curve? Since that diff wont handle that weight and force :/
Nice bro i have also a lego car but his really slow😀😀
overgamer 635 Thank you :)
Do you have a idea how my car can faster???
overgamer 635 i guess you are using lego motors which are not very powerful. If you want a performance like seen in the video you have to get the same motorization- www.thealternativeengineering.com
Alternative Engineering ok thanks and i have the Lego Motor XL is that good??🙄🙄
ive got a question if i may ask:
How bad is the wear of the gearing (if you understand me)
since the gears are turning fast really quickly, i assume the gears are being damaged over time (?)
Ive done a similar project too, and my drive shaft gear (the dark grey one/differential) was damaged a little

After years of trying different builds this here is reliable. I don't have problems with it at all when it's treated right :) Nice feel free to ask when you have problems :)
Hmm...🤔 intressting build! Like to see legos getting pushed to their limit
JVinsnes HD Gaming thank you very much! I made a new car which will push even more:)
How u adapt the motor and the lego part?
Tim's PRO with a special 2 components industry glue. It will be shown in the upcoming youtube video how to do it. Visit one of my social media or web site i will post when it is released.
Alternative Engineering thx a lot. I tried to use hot glue but it melt
I will link you the glue its ludicrously strong. I glued the fender of my real car with it.
Alternative Engineering oh I see
amzn.to/2D3pMjb
Now I know how it works but I need instructions. Please show the instructions🙏, so I can build it😊
#FF0000 LordRider Working on it:) i was a little frustrated because my video got deleted and had to upload again
Nearly done with the instruction
😍😀
if you text me on my facebook page i will send you a photo of the digital build
Sorry but I don't have facebook, but I saw the pictures on your facebook page
I ran 100 meters less in 15 sec, that doesn't mean I will run 10000 meters in 1500 sec, that's a fucking world record.
where do you come from ?
faustin BESSOU Austria
ok
france
i have got a youtube channel
ua-cam.com/channels/DWKAPoukXTudm_yBJyw7KQ.html
Can you share a link there did you buy this motor
Roman Tom the motor is without a lego parts so diffrent rc motors can be used. In this model i jused a 7 year old china motor which are not available nowerdays.
THANKS
i put the link in the description
it is cool but without reverse(
Ilya Fren they all have reverse now it’s only the esc
its not with lego motors though
Gamer 05 yes but i like the challenge. And i don't like the fact that buying additional lego buggy motor will always get you faster
Although i started using lego motors and learned a lot.
The thing sounds like an f1 car
What wheels did you use?
Alexandr Y 68,8x36
Who’s here from 2024
PLEASE MAKE PAGE FOR THIS CAR ON REBRICKABLE
Roman Tom just looking
Cant submit a moc there
Why?
I have to reach a lvl
Made one will be linked with the instruction
Too bad LEGO motors can't do that.
Robin Gorrilla yes thats sad. Another big point is the radio control which only works for 3meters (Lego)
Alternative Engineering they still only use IR, right?
Bot bad
Thank you :)
It has custom motors so its not the fastest lego car ;)
I don’t like that it’s not LEGO motors
Coda RM you can’t reach that level of performance with lego motors... sadly...
Coda RM only proper fast Lego motors you can buy are buggy motors with a 15kph top speed, but they’re hard to find now and when you do find them they’re really overpriced
i know about the Lego motors and im sad that they cant go that fast and im ok with you using a different motor i just dont like using different ones
@@jltworks3167 i dont arguee 15 km/h.
that music sucks
As an youtube creator it's very hard to find a music everybody likes.
Cool but yours motors are not from lego do it,''s not fair
robbe Claerbout with lego motors it’s not possible to get nearly as fast, sadly. And a Buwizz is also not from lego and nobody complains...
That’s not legi
Not even close to 42 mph
Dis is not lego
