And from what I remember, there wasn't much hype around them predebut, this song just came out and every single kpop fan went wild, like it was almost like an instant hit and everybody fell in love.

first really got me. I followed everglow since debut but that “boy group” style choreo executed perfectly was so pleasing ugh i love that mv so much. i’m such a sucker for la di da too ugh they don’t release any bad songs ever
@@idk3228 Right?! As soon as I saw the choreo it hit me as something that Oneus specifically would do, even the beat drop and dance sequence at the end. Even some of the outfit choices in this mv reminded me of one of their songs (I think "Lit" if I remember correctly)

I consider myself more of a casual listener when it comes to Everglow. I've enjoyed most of their releases since debut with Bon Bon Chocolat and First sharing first place for my favourite title tracks from them thus far. They're beasts and, they're definitely going places.

Before groups were making companies popular but it is opposite now. Even tho groups like Stayc and Everglow who are from not-known companies have millions views, you won't see people talk about them unless it is comeback time. Because they are paving their own way unless all the other groups who have stable "company stans".

This might just be my favourite episode from this series so far and I don't even stan Everglow 😂😂😂 It's just Caitlin having a breakdown that gets worse as the video progresses. Your reaction to First perfectly illustrates why it's tied with Bon Bon Chocolat for my favourite title track from them. You don't have a moment to take a breath during that song. I think this music video is where I confirmed Aisha is my bias actually lmao. The choreography and music video were on a whole other level, which saying a lot for them because I think they generally have good music videos and sick choreography. I think Everglow's fatal flaw is that they attract too many casual fans. They appeal to "boy group stans" because of their hard hitting choreo but not enough for them to starting stanning. They might follow every comeback but they don't buy the albums, stream, know the members, etc. And they don't appeal to the majority of "girl group stans" because of their boy group vibe. That leaves a whole lotta casual fans and not die-hard Forever's. In fact, whenever I'm on a kpop forum and a BG stan asks for more "girl groups like Everglow" or when a GG stan asks "when will Everglow stop doing boy group concepts" it just proves my point. Hence their lack of popularity domestically and still. no. lightstick.
Another thing is that at the beginning yuehua was hella pushing mia and gave her like every line and a lot of people didn't vibe with that, and sadly some still think it's mia and 5 others

Another Onda appreciator!! 🙌🏾 Everglow is one of my favorite 4th gen girl groups and I miss them tbh. Behind the scenes circumstances have delayed a comeback but I feel like they'll have one late summer/early fall. Everglow was the first group I listened to outside of Mamamoo and I was like "WHO ARE THEY!?!?" after hearing La Di Da. 🥰 I'm so happy you enjoyed listening to them.

I don’t think you’ll find a more consistent group like Everglow hence why I gladly die on the hill that regardless of popularity they are my fav group & are better than most of the bigger & more popular ones. They manage to top every comeback & change direction which catches everyone off guard in a good way & La di da is arguably a top 5 K-pop song in general

Folks in comments not be watching the intro - you can say groups you would like, but this series is already filmed, what’s coming out is already signed, sealed and delivered. There will be a google docs or Twitter post for the next series when ready to take suggestions for S4. This is a first look not a regular group, there may or may not be more of their stuff the rest of this year or even next. A few folks I don’t think meant in negative but Caitlin has slaved to bring so much excellent content and even I can’t keep up but that’s a good thing. Plenty reactors out there not posting much at all unless big name drops and we get all this plus album listens and some shows too I am in awe of the amount of content. I’m not a huge fan of ever glow, I’ve heard some tunes I don’t dislike them but it’s not my thing. I watched to see what Caitlin thought, and it was entertaining. Caitlin, You always crack me up and it’s why I go back to certain reactions often. I am happy to give things I don’t know or know and don’t Stan a chance to see if that’s changed but mostly for the enjoyment. There are lots of stages, mvs, groups and soloists I would love to see your reaction to but I also know getting there is a personal and organic path. When you feel or want to expand you do, when a group really gets your attention you respond. I have no doubt you will get to most in time and I know having gone 0-60 in kpop in just 4 years you will just keep discovering it’s almost impossible to not be distracted by all the shinee sparkly things, honest it’s like a magpie in a gem mine lol. I’m so glad you enjoyed everglow and trust me, they be punching EVERYONE in the face every time they have a comeback💀 their music is soooo good and definitely a group to keep your eye on. Definitely one of my fave girl groups, they serve vocals, visuals and CHOREOOOO. I’m not sure who you have in your line up for this season but another SUPER underrated group that I highly recommend is OnlyOneOf. They have incredible music and lemme just say the boys WILL wreck the hell out of you. Some suggestions (in this order for MAXIMUM enjoyment): Sage Angel/Picasso (Picasso doesn’t have an mv even though it is technically a “title track” so I also put angel since you usually check out mvs, BUT TRUST ME I recommend you check out Picasso, you will definitely love it more) A song of ice&fire Libido Skinz
I remember checking out Everglow when they debuted and based on the group's name alone I really had no idea what I was getting into. I thought I was adopting a cute little kitten and instead someone threw a pissed off mountain lion through my window at 3am. But that aside, their b-sides are totally worth checking out. My personal top recommendation would be Please Please. Bon Bon Chocolat, Adios and First each only have 2 b-sides, then their other 3 title tracks (the one you didn't react to was Pirate) are mini albums. So not an overly huge discography so far. I hope they'll announce a comeback soon though :(

Honestly "EVERGLOW" is probably one of the best group names and the fact that their anti's is called "NEVERGLOW" is everything. They have never missed in their title tracks!
As someone who’s been a long term kpop fan since the beginning of 3rd Gen. Just seeing you really just enjoy what you watch and talk about everything is making me RE-find the love of kpop like I did when I first started.

This might just be my favourite episode from this series so far and I don't even stan Everglow 😂😂😂 It's just Caitlin having a breakdown that gets worse as the video progresses. Your reaction to First perfectly illustrates why it's tied with Bon Bon Chocolat for my favourite title track from them. You don't have a moment to take a breath during that song. I think this music video is where I confirmed Aisha is my bias actually lmao. The choreography and music video were on a whole other level, which saying a lot for them because I think they generally have good music videos and sick choreography. I could continue but, imma stop my dissertation on my love for First here lol.

I think Everglow's fatal flaw is that they attract too many casual fans. They appeal to "boy group stans" because of their hard hitting choreo but not enough for them to starting stanning. They might follow every comeback but they don't buy the albums, stream, know the members, etc. And they don't appeal to the majority of "girl group stans" because of their boy group vibe. That leaves a whole lotta casual fans and not die-hard Forever's. In fact, whenever I'm on a kpop forum and a BG stan asks for more "girl groups like Everglow" or when a GG stan asks "when will Everglow stop doing boy group concepts" it just proves my point. Hence their lack of popularity domestically and still. no. lightstick.

Another Onda appreciator!! 🙌🏾 Everglow is one of my favorite 4th gen girl groups and I miss them tbh. Behind the scenes circumstances have delayed a comeback but I feel like they'll have one late summer/early fall. Everglow was the first group I listened to outside of Mamamoo and I was like "WHO ARE THEY!?!?" after hearing La Di Da. 🥰 I'm so happy you enjoyed listening to them.

everglow are so criminally underappreciated in my opinion, ive been a stan since january 2020 and they just keep on impressing me every single comeback, its incredible. la di da had me screaming bloody murder at my laptop, iconic. they really should be as popular as the most popular 4th gen ggs, theyre just groundbreaking.

Everglow is one of my favorite girl groups. I feel like they are different from other girl groups. Most of their title tracks are on my workout playlist, so I’m listening to these songs every week.

I don’t think you’ll find a more consistent group like Everglow hence why I gladly die on the hill that regardless of popularity they are my fav group & are better than most of the bigger & more popular ones. They manage to top every comeback & change direction which catches everyone off guard in a good way & La di da is arguably a top 5 K-pop song in general

First giving me goosebumps again, i remember i used to play it again and again again and again. That song, was absolutely phenomenal, the beat, the dance, the facial expressions each everyone of them was amazing. The dance break at the last part of the song pumped me up, it was insanely addictive. I discovered them during the pandemic last two years and they still slaying till now. -Sihyeon is the one who sang the first part of the La Di Da chorus and the one who started the song, she was in the center on the Bon Bon Chocolat chorus and you said you liked her voice in Adios
-Mia is one of the members you've liked the most. She was the one with the light purple hair in Bon Bon Chocolat (and the center in the dance break), she sang the prechorus of Dun Dun (she was the one on the motorcycle with the wind effect), the second half of the chorus and was center in the dance break. This is a first look not a regular group, there may or may not be more of their stuff the rest of this year or even next.
A few folks I don’t think meant in negative but Caitlin has slaved to bring so much excellent content and even I can’t keep up but that’s a good thing. Plenty reactors out there not posting much at all unless big name drops and we get all this plus album listens and some shows too I am in awe of the amount of content. I’m not a huge fan of ever glow, I’ve heard some tunes I don’t dislike them but it’s not my thing. I watched to see what Caitlin thought, and it was entertaining.
Caitlin, You always crack me up and it’s why I go back to certain reactions often. I am happy to give things I don’t know or know and don’t Stan a chance to see if that’s changed but mostly for the enjoyment. There are lots of stages, mvs, groups and soloists I would love to see your reaction to but I also know getting there is a personal and organic path. When you feel or want to expand you do, when a group really gets your attention you respond. I have no doubt you will get to most in time and I know having gone 0-60 in kpop in just 4 years you will just keep discovering it’s almost impossible to not be distracted by all the shinee sparkly things, honest it’s like a magpie in a gem mine lol. One day your own music will take centre stage and priority in your life but for now I’m glad you are doing this, I’m thankful for the content YOU choose to make and appreciate all those late nights and hours of frustrating tech trying to pull these vids together. Also shout out to supportive mama Benson, I’m sure she’s super proud of you as are all the bubbles here 🫧🫶🏻💖

I’m not sure who you have in your line up for this season but another SUPER underrated group that I highly recommend is OnlyOneOf. They have incredible music and lemme just say the boys WILL wreck the hell out of you. Some suggestions (in this order for MAXIMUM enjoyment):

I remember checking out Everglow when they debuted and based on the group's name alone I really had no idea what I was getting into. I thought I was adopting a cute little kitten and instead someone threw a pissed off mountain lion through my window at 3am.
But that aside, their b-sides are totally worth checking out. My personal top recommendation would be Please Please. Bon Bon Chocolat, Adios and First each only have 2 b-sides, then their other 3 title tracks (the one you didn't react to was Pirate) are mini albums. So not an overly huge discography so far. I hope they'll announce a comeback soon though :(
