South Gold Coast Tweeds Head to Surfers Paradise

Episode 14 of our Australia adventure.
Over two days we take the time to venture from the south (Tweeds Head) to the centre (Surfers Paradise) of the Gold Coast. We visit a great surf spot, a swimming hole, a night market and enjoy the beauty that this area offers.

I used to surf Duranbah starting at 14 years old in 1975. Duranbah = Doo-ran-bar

Burleigh is not one of my favourite places on the Gold Coast. Too cramped with the highway and esplanade and not as much around as far as food, drink and entertainment I reckon. I actually prefer Northern NSW, just over the border. From Kingscliff down through to Evans Head which is slightly south of Ballina.
