Hi Charlie and Rosie, Your contents are fantastic. But your UA-cam channel has some SEO issues. If you fix the issues, your channel will grow and video views, subscribers will increase organically. If you want, I can share with you some of my opinion...Thank you... Best of luck!
Thank you but we are happy with how things are going for us!
To be honest as an Aussie I am a bit disappointed with how many people are in this country backpacking they seem to be taking over all of our once favourite places especially those on the east coast.. We bought a caravan that has all the comforts that you say you want and it cost us $100K not to mention another $80K for a 4x4 to tow it with. We spend 6 months a year on the road exploring this country and we have had to work all of our lives to put us in a position to be able to do that. I get annoyed when young foreigners land here and complain about how difficult things are for them because social media told them it would all be different. Keep in mind if we went to Europe (which we have done a couple of times) it would cost us a fortune and we wouldnt be given a chance to offset any of that cost by working.
Understandable but the video is merely setting expectations, providing experience and talking about the realities for a working holiday backpacker.
In the UK it is raining now - said to my husband this weather will only get worse now until maybe April - 8 months away. Might have a few sunny autumnal days - but generally cold, wet, grey, rainy, windy. Its a bit of a joke for us to moan about the weather in the UK - we make light of it - but that is to hide the misery it brings us much of the time.
Totally get that. That is why we are in Australia - running for the weather of the UK!
Randomly stumbled across your video, I think too many people gloss over the day to day issues and it's great your video is addressing it head on. Recognizing your expectations were a bit out of line will help in the future but is hard to do, good for you! If it's any consolation, we rented a van and had nothing but issues.. leaked during the rain, had to spend a day at a dealership to get it repaired after fighting with the company to recognize it. Then another day at a mechanic and a dealership when the engine light came on. Awning never worked properly and the cushions in the back were brutal. It was hard enough getting it sorted dealing with the rental company, never mind having to deal with it ourselves. I hope things smooth out as you keep going.
Thank you. We thought the same thing and wanted to address it. That sounds horrendous, especially when you are spending so much money to avoid issues such as this.
Adelaide has just been declared the most beautiful City in the world. I ❤ Adelaide.
We totally get that. Adelaide was a pleasant surprise and we most certainly will be making our way back there!
Burleigh is not one of my favourite places on the Gold Coast. Too cramped with the highway and esplanade and not as much around as far as food, drink and entertainment I reckon. I actually prefer Northern NSW, just over the border. From Kingscliff down through to Evans Head which is slightly south of Ballina.
Very interesting. We may have to put aside the time to venture there. Thank you for the recommendation - it is always great to hear from the locals!
I used to surf Duranbah starting at 14 years old in 1975. Duranbah = Doo-ran-bar

Hi I'm from Sarawak 🇲🇾
Oooh it’s great to have a viewer from here. What part of Sarawak are you from?
what was busted on the van?
It turned out to be a snapped AC compressor bracket
@@cinrtravels2807 ahh, copy that. small pitfa no doubt. its the head ache of getting things fixed.
Yeah more so just finding the part seemed to be a hassle especially for two people who know nothing about mechanics. It comes with the territory though if you own a van so we are just happy it wasn't anything major!

Hi Gleno, yes we do have wiki camps it's super handy we use it heaps! Thanks and we hope you liked the video.
We saw more nice reviews on Peace Tailors. So we went to them in April 2024 first! With a detailled plan(drawing) we came in, to come out within 5 minutes again. Nothing was possible, difficult English, and ending up with hughe prices. We went to Yaly Couture and within 30 minutes we had ordered all the shirts/trousers and dresses, as planned. No problem at all overthere!
Oh that is such a shame. Sorry about that! However we are happy you were able to find someone that was able to complete your order with no problems. So very bizarre.
this somehow came up into my recomended videos. ive lived in melbourne my whole life so its good to see a tourists point of view! great video!
Thank you so much. We are glad you enjoyed it!
Charlie appreciate your honesty which is refreshing although as we’re about to come out for a 6 week trip not great to hear your non recommendation of visiting Oz!! We don’t have a van though so 🤞🏻
I was honest but don't forget I was ill cranky and things were going wrong haha. We both LOVE Australia we have just had a bit of bad luck. I'm sure you guys will love your trip! It's an amazing country.

Awesome video. Well done team 👏
That is lovely of you to say🥰
so... you are saying it is a shame that there are no people picking up rubbish?....
No, it’s a shame there is rubbish in general. Unlike Bali where the beaches are pretty busy and large groups collect the rubbish
8:00 well there are manny things to do but most of them are social and for the children there are 2 parks you have the beavers, cubs and scouts, theres also garrdening club. And every friday theres a "pop up pub" with food and drink and toilets with a great social atmosphere. Im 16 lived here my whole life and honestly theres alot to do in the village of tackley. 😅
Yes we went to the ‘pop up pub’ pretty regularly but we didn’t know there was a gardening club - my mum may be interested in that😁
Nice 🙂

So lovely of you to comment☺️ It’s now in the description! The Laos ‘things to do’ are still in progress so won’t be up for at least another week.
Thank you! This was so helpful 😊 would you say going in November to Thailand would still be quite rainy then? Im planning on doing the banana pancake trail so starting in north Thailand -> Lao -> Vietnam -> Cambodia -> Thai islands -> Philippines -> Indonesia -> Malaysia. I’m going for 6 months to a year. Do u think that would work? Do u possibly have any suggestions? 💕
Thank you so much! It is totally fine to head to Thailand in November. It only rained in the Koh Islands so you should be in the clear. That route will most definitely work! We say give Laos a lot of time - it’s stunning, if you need to extend your Vietnam visa - do, head to Lombok in Indonesia and if you have time go to Borneo, Malaysia!

Yes, it should be a great video. But first Bali!
As usual, the history were taught differently in the other part of the worlds. Actually, the Malays were among the first people to be involved in giant-size shipbuilding, advanced navigation, and long distance maritime trade. During the third century B.C.E they were already in the international maritime commerce with a network of maritime trade routes stretching all the way from Western Europe to East Asia and down the east coast of Africa. Additionally, in the history of international navigation, Malay sailors were also the first to use the balance-lug sail for their jongs (ancient local term for junk) and ghalis (galleys). This has been recognised as an invention of global significance. Malay ingenuity in navigation was still observed during the Sultanate of Malacca in the 15th century. However, the size of the ships was slightly reduced but still slightly bigger than the Chinese and Portuguese vessels. What they lack of were the firepower and seeing how powerful Malay Kingdom is becoming in the spice trade route back in the days, Western and European started to take notice and decided to take control of the profitable route. They took over the Malacca Sultanate region and the rest of its related kingdom, then weaken the whole Kingdom by separating between 2 powers, which are now known as Malaysia and Indonesia. The Portuguese conqueror that time Afonso de Albuquerque, for example, was shocked to see the size of Malay's vessels and referred to them as “World Shakers" when he was in the midst of attacking Malacca.
Oooo very interesting. Thank you for this extra bit of information!
Funny that the elephant was alone solitary. They are normally in herds.
Yes, we were very lucky to see him/her. Cannot believe that they stopped and had a dip in the river so close to us!
