Note: Skra is (was) a town in Bulgaria. I don't know why they put "German" instead of "Bulgarian" heads in this song, since the battle of Skra was a battle between Greeks and Bulgarians. Not Germans. I wished to keep the song more "accurate" to the original song by keeping the "Bulgarian heads"
100% right. But then again, the bulgarians fought under german authority. In the WII the same, so its kinda the same. They where soldiers who fought under german command.
In the original song instead of talking about fighting the Germans it says kyriakos flows like the wind, kryiakos Savvakis was a captain during the Balkan war who single killed over 5600 Bulgarians
Yes as far as I concerned this song came out around ww1 the young Turks didn't even exist (+ it says skra reffering to the battle of skra against Bulgarians)
I know the original song was about the Greek offensive in Asia Minor, it looked like a walk in the park at the time. The not so Young Turks were gone, the Sultan was practically under palace arrest, the French, British and Italians were carving up what is now Turkey and nobody had any clue what Mustafa Kemal was about to do. In the movie Rembetika this song sets the stage perfectly.
What's up with people so down for unelected autocrats to rule over them Nevermind it always ends with civil rights restrictions and nepotism, what interests me is why do you have so little faith in yourself to participate in democracy lmao

@@alpap6156 The battle of skra is before WW2 though
@@Haksrax Correct WW1.
@@alpap6156could also talk about the king's wife Which was german (basically nany germans were in the greek royal family)
Absolutly the best version of this song
What a beautiful version of a great song and I ask for the megali idea to be fulfilled
Good stuff.

1919-23 Greco-turkish war, Russia helped turks with weapons, oil and gold.
Turks is your brothers..not Greeks
Superb music but the lyrics tell you it will end up in tears.
In the original song instead of talking about fighting the Germans it says kyriakos flows like the wind, kryiakos Savvakis was a captain during the Balkan war who single killed over 5600 Bulgarians
Που υπάρχει αυτό το version?
I think in 1:30 it says "Germaniká kefália" means "German heads" not "Bulgarian"

Say whatever you want, King Constantine I was a great man and a great general.
Nice
Am pretty sure it says kemalian heads refering to the neo Turks instead of Bulgarian
It says “germanika” (german) heads

@@The_j_h Young Turks existed throught the First World War, Kemalists were another story.

A different version of the venizelist song
This is actually the original version of the song when it comes to the lyrics.
