the dichotomy of talking about how an act of kindness during a rough spot inspired jesse to be kind towards others to starting an immediate online beef with melina for (rightly) pointing out he wrote a scene complimenting his own feet 💀
Jesse Eisenbergs' personality is one of the weirdest things in the industry, i just can't figure him out as a person or actor or artist and i love just as much as i find it funny
He's a self important doofus who got some success that went to his head but now has become a bitter tool when such success didn't take off the way he thought it would. The end. I like him 🤷🏻♂️
@@jimboswamps5602 lol incorrect. He is the result of someone who feels uncomfortable being in the spotlight choosing a profession that puts him in the spotlight, while secretly kind of enjoying it because he knows he's smart and capable and deserves the attention, but at the same is socially anxious, and deflects this with a very dry, self-deprecating sense of humor. Also how on earth could he be bitter? He has artistic cred working with directors like Baumbach, Fincher, Kelly Reichardt, Woody Allen, and Joachim Trier, cult classics like Adventureland, Zombieland, and The Double, has made money with multiple franchises, is Oscar nominated, and has now directed his 2nd film which was very well received, all by the age of 40.
Yeah, but try tracking social media comments in the trailers before the movie came out. Most people were saying it was gonna bomb. I thought "c'mon, Fincher and Sorkin? I can't be that bad"
A Real Pain is incredible. My entire family was affected by WWII. My uncle was a Holocaust survivor and lost his mother during a Nazi raid when he was only 14. He was rescued by Irena Sendler in Warsaw. I was in Krakow in spring of 2023 during the movie festival where Jesse was promoting his directorial debut; can't forgive myself I didn't somehow share my uncle's story with him. Not only it could be useful in this film, but also just keeping the memory about these events alive is so vital.
Yes, but also, it's weird how we arrived at this because fans of the comic were disappointed that Scott had a different vibe than in the original, he was more classically cool I think, but back then geeks were in fashion and Cera and Eisenberg were hot commodities, so we now can see Jesse as him because the movie change the character to be more like Jesse in the first place.
I watched the Mighty as a middle-schooler and it stuck with me for years. So moving. It'll be surreal to see Kieran giving his Oscar speech next year after over a quarter of a century! ❤
The Mighty is an amazing kids drama. I watched it a lot growing up and rewatched it a few years ago and it holds up. Kieran was excellent, even as a kid. Also stars Sharon Stone, James Gandolfini, Gena Rowlands, Harry Dean Stanton, and Meatloaf haha... Whenever I bring it up no one knows about it. Highly recommend!!
I love this so much, Jesse & Kieran are hilarious together! I remember reading that A Real Pain review on letterboxd awhile ago and wondering what they meant😂 so excited to see the movie!
You know... I used to have all kinds of opinions about Jessie Eisenberg... not necessarily good ones. After seeing A Real Pain, I've arrived at the opinion that he is a really special writer and director, and I can't wait for what he does next. Also, the chemistry between these two is magic. ❤
I’m so glad Kieran brought up Altar Boys even if it was just for 2 seconds. If you haven’t seen it, go watch The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (2002). So good
Wow, I really love these two together. The movie was great and I hope they do more stuff together. In some interview someone mentioned to Jesse that they could do multiple movies with them going on different trips. After seeing the movie, I would love that.
Fun. Both excellent, interesting actors. And i'm actually tempted now to check out more interviews from this press junket just to see if the feet thing becomes, well, a runner :).
A Real Pain is wonderful. Jesse has really shown his chops behind the camera. He always has his odd way about him in front of the camera, but he has quite a sure hand behind the camera. Great film.
I remember enjoying Jesse's first film, Roger Dodger. First time I saw both him and Campbell Scott. Must have been a good review that made me check it out. Probably Roger Ebert, RIP.
@ It’s fantastic!, usually I’m not into American comedies but because it’s profound and somber, it really worked as both a super funny film but dramatically well done!, Eisenberg is very talented as a director and of course actor as well!, do go check it out when ya can!
Listen to Jesse in Marc Marons wtf. I’m not pushing for maron, but I fell in love with this actor. It was endearing, smart, and awkwardly loving. Like the love between two males should be…. Ha
Its so funny because i heard jesse talk about the panic attack scene in these exact words in the video where he breaks down his career which came out like a week ago.
"That's the scene, MELINA"
- Jesse Eisenberg, 2024
Not Melina accidentally start a beef with Jesse T-T
reminds me a lot of that Interview with that nerdy girl for Now You See Me
@@darkgate33Melina... Romina... close enough!
@@andrewmilito2634 he's been in character ever since The Social Network came out. that's dedication right there!

“I think Melina will make a guess” took me TF out
jesse took it personally af LMAO 😂😂😂
Lmao that Feet comment shook Jesse 😂
jesse's defense of the feet scene is killing me

just two yappers telling each other exaaactlyyy
i like this interview format
Jesse is one of the few celebrities I have met and had a long conversation with and he’s genuinely one of the kindest most sincere people.

The Social Network really was headed for success right out of the gate. Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher working together was a match made in heaven.
Yeah, add in the score by Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor, it was always going to be a masterpiece

In an alternate universe I would have liked to see Jesse Eisenberg’s version of Scott Pilgrim and his dynamic with Kieran’s Wallace Wells lol

I want to see Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Cera do an awkward, witty comedy movie.
The Mighty is such an underrated movie. I always cry 😢
when jesse eisenberg is being interviewed for a movie yk its gonnna be chaos
Him direct addressing Melina reminds me of "Please, Abraham, I'm not that man" lol
Jesse Eisenberg is exhausting - yet I can never look away. Bravo, sir.
I already really wanted to see 'A Real Pain' but if I didn't then this video would absolutely have sold it to me.

I kinda think Cruel Intentions is the chaotic evil 10 things I hate about you.
“Have I been in a five star movie?”, asked while promoting a movie, with the director sitting to you.
what brand is the sweater of Kieran Culkin? Plz help. Thx.
Why did I just realize that was him in the mighty lmao I remember reading that book in school lol
Same vibe, different frequencies
The Mighty made me bawl
i think a lot about the fact that jesse eisenberg’s been wearing the same red hat for probably 12 years
What happened to Jesse's finger?
I hope MELINA sees this 😂😂
Melina will heretofore live rent free in Jessie Eisenbergs head.
Jesse Eisenberg is slowly morphing into Michael Cera.
