doesn't work for me. trying to sign in to help.ea page via xbox causes a reset password screen to come up for an EA account. I cannot get it to let me sign in with xbox/microsoft account.
I was trying for TWO HOURS and I was stuck with an error message on the EA app that said something like "Couldn't Download there was a hiccup try resetting your PC LOL" or something like that I forgot tbh. Then I found someone on a forum that literally saved me! I'll try to sound as clear as possible but the solution was, begin to download a free game like Apex on the EA App and if that works, then cancel the download. After go to the game that you wanted to download and then you should be able to download it.

If this didn't work for you and you don't mind making a new account I would recommend to sign out of ea app, go to the log in screen, click on the xbox logo, logging in to the xbox account, clicking yes if asked for any permissions, setting up a new EA ID, and after all of that you should have an account that's automatically linked with the xbox app, for me this was the only way to link the xbox app to the ea one. Once you're done with everything you should be able to go to the ea app's library and install every ea play game.

@@flurahs.814 yes but I haven't used it. I asume you're from Australia like I am and it just doesn't work for us. The fix is to use a VPN and set it to a different country. Haven't tried it but hope this helps.

Nothing works For me. No matter how many different ways I try to get to the download screen as soon I start the download it says it can’t download and tells me to restart my pc. No error code or anything.
You will AUTOMATICALLY get EA play subscription after doing the first 2 parts you dont need to install it from Xbox game pass and wait for EA app just login to your Origin account or EA app and you will have EA Play activated on your profile and you can download every game you want without Xbox game pass. For me I still couldnt manage to launch EA app from Xbox just opened my EA or Origin application and I saw my account had EA play! (I just loged out of my account on EA account website loged in with Xbox account Agreed EA to access my info confirmed my 2FA and then saw that i already had Xbox linked to my account with EA website)

I had to do more steps than the video but i got it working. What a bunch of shitty applications. So basically like he describes in the video, the issue seems to be the link between your EA and Xbox account. After doing all the shit. follow this help from another post. You also need to close the Xbox App. End the EA Desktop processes in Task Manager. These are EADesktop.exe and EABackgroundService.exe 2) Press Windows Key + R and type %ProgramData%\EA Desktop. Press OK, and delete any files in this directory. 3) Press Windows Key + R again, type %AppData%. This will take you to C:\Users\YourUserAcc\AppData\Roaming. Go up one folder to "AppData", then into "Local". 4) There are two folders in here that I removed files from: After doing this you have cleared all account files from your computer. 5: Now you need to click install whatever games you want through the Xbox App. Now it should sign you in automatically if you already linked the account 6: If you skipped the video and they are somehow not linked, you should get the option when signing in with your credentials. I had this extra issue and now its working for me.
You failed to mention which two folders and files you removed from AppData Local between steps 3 and 4. Nothing this guy in the video said worked because ea is incompetent. This comment seemed actually useful, but without the 2 folders you mentioned you deleted it is technically not possible for laymen like me to follow.

On my case, I opened the Ea app and tried downloading the game I wanted directly from it instead of the Xbox App. The app detected I had a game pass subscription and the download worked correctly. Hope this works as a fix for some of you guys that have the problem.
Hey is it normal Battlefield Hardline has been downloading for 2 years straight? Im not kidding it wont let me install any other games cause its still going.. and going.. Also it has actually been 2 years and its not even popping up in the download manager
I had that problem too, but i fixed it by linking my xbox account again in the first steps of this video. Otherwise you need to complete uninstall origin if its installed
@@Juanpabl53 if you got origin go ahead and uninstall it. Also this could potentially means both EA and Xbox Game pass are not linked or you dont have the latest Windows version
@@Juanpabl53 also see if on task manager you see the EA Background Services running. If its not running then it wont work and you will get that message. I think you may need to go to the install folder of EA and find the .exe file there or go to Services and start it if its there.
@@MannyTutorials I fixed it thanks for the help, you need to search "UAC" in the windows search bar and press enter you have to drag the bar to "never" and restart the pc, if there is on never just drag it and always put it back on never.
Also worth mentioning to anyone else who has an issue where EA Play has a blank screen after the loading circle pops up, that I've had to find the folder location for EAPlayDesktop and run as administrator. Clearing the App cache, uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't work. Nightmare if you have kids that play on PC and you don't want to provide them full administrator access to the PC... Cannot believe how poor EA have been with stabilising this year's after release!

I'm aggravated. I've done this 1000x and i keep getting error, and it won't link. I've reset my password 50x literally
