That seems like an awesome trip. The current Womens World champion Disc golfer is from Estonia. Kristin Tattar won I think 5 Major events this year and is the current world champion as of like the end of July.
I will be the first to tell you that everyone sucks when they start, but there's something awesome about a sport that literally can be played with one disc, that can be played at courses, well over 3/4 of which are free. It's also just real fun throwing plastic at baskets. Could be a fun way to spice up a walk every once in awhile. Heck, if you have like a PO box I'd send you a disc to get you started.@@YesLandTravel
I really liked this video, so many great things to see. I love seeing the abandoned and forgotten places especially when there is a history about them. I actually liked the rainy and cloudy weather. It gives more feeling and drama to the areas. Keep up these great videos.
Enjoyed this one quite a bit. The history of the towns and the monuments, although serious, was very interesting. Looked like you had the place to yourself most of the time. The food looked so good! Maybe kitties next time. 😊
Sorry for your wet ankles. Weirdly I find "wind on microphone" very relaxing. Of course, I am not the one being hit by the strong winds, so there's that. Those dumplings look nice. What's that rolled up thing you ate at the medieval tavern?
Hi Matthew, enjoyed this video of Tallinn Enstonia. I was hoping you would have walked through some of those abandoned houses. Some of the areas had fencing around them so maybe that wouldn't be possible. The place were you had the Elk meat sure looked medieval with you sitting in darkness with a few small lights. Can tell you missed seeing cats in that you went up to that deer statue like it was a live cat. Always like how you never Sugar coat situations and explain things as they are. Onwards and upwards till next time.
Yeah I wanted to go inside as well. I try to make a judgement call when I get there and they really were coming down so decided not to go in. Burnt out wooden structures and the like. Thank you ben for your support!
I had a great time regardless of the weather, I hate letting a bit of rain and wind tell me I can't do something. But yeah, I want to go back to the Baltics for a few weeks during summer one year, I think that would be great.
That's the so-called Bald & Bankrupt approach - choose the worst weather and time of the year possible, otherwise the place won't look "Soviet" enough.
I'm really excited about this trip. I cannot imagine how cool it is heading to these places. If you ever need a rest feeel free to head to Michigan. :)
19:22 "I've not seen a single cat" #sad .... petting deer statue cuz no puffballs to pet says it all !! Excellent video besides that!!! Wild Elk in an ol' medieval tavern is both the best setting to eat and drink, begin a gaming adventure, and/or play a board game in !!!
Sweet... love the tavern. Great shotgun approach to the area. We got to see a lot. Thanks for taking us with you on another... miserable hike. LOL. Sorry, no kitties.
the Tallinn slowly starts to rebuild Kopli lines for modern citizen.
That pie sounded delicious!
It honestly was so good, especically after all that rain and cold
Kohuke is curds based, but it's hard to differentiate from cottage cheese.

Sorry September.
I have a belief deep in my heart that I'd be great at Disc Golf, however I know that probably is not the case.

Looks amazing Matthew. Great video and commentary - I would love to visit Estonia despite the rain.

Thank you for watching! Yeah, I don't mind the bad weather really at all and I've now bought a new mic that should make filming easier next time!
You can sense the weather change but can you control the waves??
Oh cooool ! you made it to Estonia ! If you still wanna go to Pärnu......... *not so subtle hint*
Pärnu next time I'm in the Baltics will happen for sure!

You mean the pastry? That was a Bore and Elk pie that was frankly, wonderful.

Pop and a bar! , excellent stuff as always Mathew 🙂
Thank you James, I appreciate the support
I mean, you did chose the most bleak time to come here, weather is much better in summer.

And then come to Pärnu and I show you some stuff. 🎉

@@xwiirastusx I was kinda annoyed by that, but Matt is cooler than bald and bankrupt...
@@RistoPisto615 anyone is.

I was thinking about an American trip at some point that's for sure
@@YesLandTravel You always will have a free place to stay here. I'm off work during the summers as well. So free transportation too.
Is the theme for today just "rain, the episode"? The place looked very much from a fairytale (just more damp) though lol
The next couple episodes also have this theme...
@YesLandTravel rainy days are my favourites I'll look forward to how you'll try your best to be entertaining while being sodden lmao

It really felt like a D&D setting in their for sure.
I want ALL of the food in this video. I need your food tips if I ever travel internationally
I got lucky in Estonia with food, I've had lot of bad things in very nice places.

If you think this looked miserable you should wait until next weeks episode. Dear lord...
If you were driving one of those fancy cars 40 years ago, you were probably a current/former Party official :D
Very true, that's something I was thinking at the time as well.
Great video ... I would of been fine with the rain ... but wind just isn't fun
It was OK, that's what I get for choosing Autumn for a Baltic trip!
Great video, despite nature taking against you personally.
