Interesting fact: they are not singing in mongolian, this is a made up language made for the star wars game only. They are from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and still live there but tour all over the world.
The song "Black Thunder" was originally performed in Mongolian. I remember them playing it when I saw them in Atlanta, GA back in November of 2019. But, as you said, they developed lyrics in a made up language for the version used in the Star Wars game soundtrack.
They live in Mongolia check out all their music Yuve Yuve Yu/ This Is The Mongol/ The Same. This is the coolest awesomest band on the planet and they keep getting better over time and if you ever ha e a chance to see them live take it.
The drums are called Khengereg and are traditional Mongolian drums. They also have a modern drumkit. Their genre is often called folk metal but they call it hunnu rock.
Mongolian Folk metal... they have some great stuff! If you like this kind of vibe, you really need to check out Feuerschwanz, their new album is my favourite album of 2021.. not a single dud song on the album.. "Memento Mori" and their cover of "Warriors of the world united" is simply sublime! Other outstanding tracks: Ding, Meister Der Minne, Das Elfde Gebot, I see Fire, Metfest, Malleus Maleficarum, Hier kommt Alex, Schubsetanz (original & Black metal version), Untot im Drachenboot, Ultima Nocte & Die Hörner hoch.
The HU members live in Ulaanbaatar, capitol city of Mongolia. The two-stringed, bowed instruments are morin khuur/horsehead fiddles. You missed that the fancy guitar-looking instrument, a tovshuur, only has three strings. In addition to the songs suggested by your other comment so far, try "The Great Chingiss Khan," "Song of Women" with Lzzy Hale, and in addition to their original "Wolf Totem," the version featuring Jacoby Shaddix. All of their music is incredible!
Thunderz, O.Z, THE WASABIES , ROKIT BAY , NENE, VANDEBO, AHUNA, SASH, ENEREL, NMN . these are mongolian coolest artists nowaday. I will glad you guys to react of them.
Pete is insightful. The primary weapon of the samurai was the bow. They were frequently mounted, thus... horse archers, not that dissimilar from the warriors of Temujin and Djengis. Realistically, given the relative proximity of Japan and Mongolia, there would be some amount of cross pollination between martial practices, even though Japan was geographically distinct from the steppes.
the Song says that The eternal Heaven's black thunder will shatter you pieces and live with wisdom of Heaven. black thunder, black thunder, black thunder...HU hu hu hu hu
Yeah, Samurai be scared of these dudes too. Almost got invaded, saved by a hurricane, the "divine wind" legend that gave rise to the WWII Kamikaze culture. History, man, it's all freakin' connected. \m/

Their cover of Sad but True by Mettalica is awesome!
Yes, and now "Through the Never" cover of Metallica. It's HEAVY.
More from the HU? Since you have already done "Wolf Totem", you should check out "Yuve Yuve Yu", or their cover of Metallica's "Sad But True".

I feel like this music just fits. Some music just moves into your heart and the Hu have done that to me three seconds into my first listening.
You should definitely react to The Great Chinggis Khaan by them, it's even more empowering and sounds incredible.
