It's nice that DOOL is still able to stick around, but to not have it on regular NBC is definitely the end of an era. It was fun growing up in the '80s and '90s watching the daytime soaps. I am betting that most of the people who still watched Days don't have Peacock so it will be interesting to see how long the show lasts. Always good to see Deidre 🙂
Born 1987 in Sweden 🇸🇪 so I followed these series with my mother in the 90s and 00s, even in little country as Sweden we could see it and what a blast we hadn't running homes fram schools so you didn't miss anything. I remembered the best storylines with Stefano ( the greatest) Marlena, John, Kristen and Tony so well 😀
@@jimmykarlsson2567 That's great that you were able to watch it in Sweden! My Mom grew up watching many of the American daytime soaps starting in the 1960s, and I joined her in viewing them in the '80s. It's sad that so many of them are gone now. My Mom thought it was a silly storyline, but I enjoyed when Marlena got possessed by the devil back in the '90s! I was tuning in every day to see what she would do and say next!

She's a terrible actress though. She wont leave Days because unlike the younger ones that have left she never did well outside of this show. She's a nice lady though,but could do something like a talk show instead of acting imo

Love Days, do not like having to pay foer something I was able to watch both on NBC and Peacock for free, That isa greed! I am blessed to still have internet so far. Noty guarentieed I can always, with such a tight budject, You think they would dfo something good for Seniors and old time fans too.

I think it sucks that they have pulled it from the NBC lineup. I'm not paying a fee to watch one show. A mainstay for over 50 years & you decide to do this all of sudden without warning.

I have Direct tv that I’m already paying for and I have the Peacock app. downloaded, but I can’t watch Days of our Lives. If I can’t get it work, guess I’m not going to watch it anymore.

So sad you're saying this when you Don't understand that there are HUNDREDS of seniors who have been with DOOL since the Beginning and on fixed incomes Can't afford to pay even a dime to watch now! Very hurtful move on behalf of DOOL/NBC etc. You all just Don't get it...
Lady u don't get it,this wasn't in there control this is their way of trying to save the show, stop trying to play the victim they're not trying to do this to hurt seniors or their fans they're doing this this way the fans can still watch the show, I'm honestly so sick and tired of people not understanding why they moved to peacock in the first place because you people are so caught up in your feelings that you don't want to understand you just want to complain about how you don't have enough money to do it and I get it but you know what at the end of the day this isn't about you okay there are going to be seniors that are going to watch the show

GREED! Very worried this is the beggining of the end for DOOL. They just want more money and are not considering elderly people who cannot access internet, and places who still dont have internet. They could have waited. This is a bad move Im affraid. Plus we are in a very difficult inflation time and NBC just seems not to care. Very dissapointed. Thankfully in Canada it will be on another cable channel, but even there have to pay more to get that channel. Again. GREED.

GREAT, another hour of the today show. How fricking cheap by NBC. The set is already there....
They were already making the episodes for free online on Peacock when it was still on NBC; before Peacock it was the NBC website streaming the online episodes. They should have just allowed for Peacock to continue to stream the free online episodes with the regular edited scenes being G rated along with the regular sponsoring advertisements for the free viewers. They could have created premium versions of the episodes for the premium subscribers where they get to see more unedited scenes with limited to no commercials along with other features like bloopers, exclusive interviews, access to older seasons, as well as the other spinoffs and etc. and not let the free viewers have access to; for the regular premium paid subscribers, let them have more limited commercials with more unedited scenes of the episodes with maybe a little bit more racy scenes like a PG 13 rated and then for the premium plus subscribers where they do not have any advertisements at all, they should have the full 60 minute episode with even more unedited scenes as well as more R rated scenes like nudity and etc. This way, paid or not paid viewers can still enjoy the show, but each set of audiences will just get different quality contents to viewing the series and the network can still make the money they want.
There are so many ppl who doesn't have access to the internet and so many older ppl who are on fixed incomes that have been loyal fans from day one. In my opinion it is wrong to abandon them and force them to to choose to either pay to stream or not watch a show they've watched religiously for almost 60 years. NBC is all about the money and could care less about the people who have been dedicated viewers not only to dool, but many other shows.
I have cable tv, so disappointed to see it go. Subscribe to another streaming service? Not me, but I'm just one person who will no longer follow the show. So long....

Passions did something similar when it went exclusively to Direct TV. Peacock is more affordable, at least. I was never really a fan of Days, but I always liked Deidre Hall. She is still a beautiful woman.
Canadians can still watch days of our lives on w channel 27

Ditto, not paying subscription fee to watch 1 program. Although I enjoyed other programs on NBC, the 1 show I watched EVERY time was Days of Our Lives. Now I am not watching any shows on NBC. Days of Our Lives has lost a multitude of dedicated fans due to the switch to streaming, and as time get harder will loose more due to those dropping the Peacock subscription because they can't afford it. Good Luck Days of Our Lives, although I do miss the actors, miss the story lines and the show, I can't afford the streaming fee.

Now there are only three remaining soap operas on broadcast television such as General Hospital(ABC), Bold And The Beautiful(CBS), and Young And The Restless(CBS). Their ratings are not doing so great as well. Even their companies also have online streaming services as separate entities like NBC and Peacock. Something tells me CBS and ABC very soon will follow NBC's example of moving their soap operas to their sister online networks as paid contents or they will just outright cancel them. If NBC had created a streaming service like Peacock back when Passions was still running on NBC, they would have immediately shifted the series to the streaming service and likely would have survived another several years instead moving it to DirecTV where it lasted only one year.
The ones in the UK do very well on TV but could be different there as well. Plus the uk ones imo are better and written better

I was doing The Scottish Play when I was abducted from UCSD.
Dancing with the stars did the exact same thing . Left ABC and is now exclusive streaming on Disney. Personally I think it’s a mistake. A soap that’s been on for over 40 years those loyal watchers aren’t on there 30 s anymore

No,because she is a terrible actress and couldnt make it elsewhere. She is a nice lady I will say that. But I never thought she was a good actress. The young ones leave because they can make it on other shows where Deidre cant. I think it is time for her to retire from acting she can do a talk show or something but as I said she is a nice lady. I have watched since she has been on and has never been believable and has gotten worse
Deidre Hall has to be the worst actress on Days. No wonder she has stayed on the show for so long,she failed in the 80's when she tried to make it elsewhere and had to come back. She does seem like a very nice lady though but she has never been a good actress. Her role as the devil in 2021 was laughable and wasnt meant to be funny. Allie and Johnny imo did a much better job as did the old guy. I saw her in a couple of hallark movies as well and was just as bad on those and had the same silly facial expressions. Again I do think she is a very nice lady but a terrible actress

She's a nice lady but has always been a terrible terrible actress. Probably the worst one on days imo well along with Drake that plays John now he is the worst actor ever. Maybe thats why they casted him? To make her look better than she is. I've watched since she has been on and has only gotten worse. She should retire shehas stayed on the show that long because she has failed elsewere. She can do a talk show or something because she does seem very nice but cannot act
