What do I need other than the downpipes for my m240i do I need a tune or something like that?
Did you guys just put it on map 6? Or did you do any custom tuning to the map cause I thought it was a custom map

Did you get the check engine light? Howd you avoid it without tune?
If you have the jb4 fitted i think you can just change the settings to passive delete to get no engine lights

Sorry to say this isn’t the first install, a Greek tuning company called TCR tuning installed catless downpipes on this same model about 3 months ago

No it isn’t. Nothing is different with the oil service oil filter is still a 27mm and the drain plug is still a 17mm all in the same positions. No special tools required other than the 27mm oil filter socket.

I just picked up my 2023 M240i and have been looking to get the same downpipe. Since our ECU’s are locked and we are unable to tune for them, is it okay that we run the new downpipe without the tune?
You can run the downpipe but it will throw a EML.

Just got my m240i, what spacers are you running front and back?
Congrats, they are awesome. We are running aftermarket wheels, for stock wheels we recommend the Bimmec 12mm front & 15mm rear, they're available on our website.
Good luck getting your typical car insurance company to cover you. They're not so fussy on spoilers and graphics but as soon as you mention wheel spacers they say NO.
I’d like to do that catless downpipe BUT the smell, check engine light, and lack of legality make it a non starter. My solution was to delete the muffler system, install full 3” straight axle back, and go with a high flow catted downpipe. Therefore you get zero or much less smell, no CEL and the more aggressive sound due to the muffler delete. Problem solved.
Not a bad idea, if you can deal with drone / a constantly loud exhaust. You would be better off going for a high flow catted downpipe, we also have these but have not listed on our store yet, drop us a message.

In all honesty nothing will happen if you got it Catless the map will void the 02 sensor code because it will pop up a code for incorrect emmisons

We're aware installs have been done but none have been documented. If you can find another video of the install on a G42, let us know!
funnily, the first link is using the same system it seems and was published in July. Milltek even did a video themselves back in July, although that wasn't a full installation video. Does this mean you'll remove the clickbait thumbnail now?

This is the first documented install of the decat, and that’s a bit of a mouthful for a thumbnail so hopefully it can pass as is 😊
