Can't beat the sound of a BB with solids, in 1975 i built a 67 Camaro Yenko clone, 427/425 with 456 gears and a 4 speed, 12.7 car @108-110 like NOTHING even with a JUNK Holley 780, some 25 inch tall slicks, only made a few runs , i knew someone who raced weekends and he said a 800-850 DP and single plane manifold like the Tarantula back then 12.4 or better. The L-88 was a bit much for street use with the 12.5 comp. and that more radical cam, the cam on the 425/435 was a nice compromise
The L-89 was the "reasonable" HO 427 being much cheaper than the rare ZL1 and more available than the L88.You could look straight into your insurance persons eyes and tell them it was 'the middle of the road" Chevy V-8 and hope they didn't notice the 4 speed shifter...or look under the hood!
The throwing bearing doesn't care a bit...the thrust bearing for the crank...in theory, force is applied with no oil pressure, but, in reality, they don't care either, just not affected. Even on Hondas that generally have only half a thrust bearing. They just don't wear out from that.
@@SCc8154 It's new OEM parts, but OEM parts can be used or brand new both original equipment, NOS is supposed to be new old stock parts from the year 69
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....(((
Thé C3 (1968-1972)is thé most beautiful car i've Seen in my life.

Who is Dave brah?
I was taught to never depress clutch on start up,hard on throw out bearing. Just my 2 cents worth. Very nice car
It had a clutch safety switch, wouldn't start if you didn't depress the clutch.

What parts were used for the restoration? Was it NOS parts or knock offs?
What? NOS parts...? Can you explain your question.

I have a 2021 BMW M340i that would show this 50+ years old Vette it's taillights. For half the money & warranty, which one do I want?
And in 5 yrs the BMW would be worth $15k.....lol
And your point is?

Dude you don't shit about cars asswhole. Only a stupid ass 🤣 like would take a piece of shit BMW over a Chevy big block 427
Appreciating 1969 big block Corvette with aluminum heads... depreciating BMW... about as fast as they fall apart

The difference between being a subject and a citizen
You keep making this post on all videos concerning nice cars, when you just don't seem to get that we don't give a damn about the EU or Scandinavia.
Its the same with Switzerland and China!@@ONTHEEDGEFRED
There’s no way they’ll be able to do that they want to, but they won’t be able to
