I'm a little late here but I would love to see more David Maxim reactions. His whole EP "Ego" is like "Smile" the whole way through, it really plays with your brain and emotions. His latest album, BILO IV, is fantastic as well.

David mostly plays the instruments. I don't think you will hear him vocally very much if at all. The girl singing is Aleksandra Djemas. She is the lead singer in his band Sordid Pink formerly known as Destiny Potato.
For his Solo work he has many different singers and musicians as guest. It's more of an experimental type of thing he does on his solo work. Aleksandra is an amazing singer and doesn't do near the odd scream-ish vocal as she did on this. I can see people being thrown off by her vocal on this song. You should give Destiny Potato and Sordid Pink a try. Still a little Prog but more straight forward.
Either way... David Records, Mixes and Masters everything. He gets some of the most amazing high quality sounds you will hear in the Prog scene.

I’d love to recommend a song called “Addict” from them!
Not sure if you are aware or not but Destiny Potato is now called Sordid Pink and they put out an album under that name as well. It's really good too.
