Great video Tamara, tnx :). There is strangely very little information on the Slypod pro and Aircross 3 linkage control. I just started testing the sistem and am having curious issues. The gimbal operates as if it was in a mirror mode, left is right and viceversa, or it goes completely nuts, turning the camera upside down. Completely unusable to get a tracking shot. Have you had any similar issues?
@@TamaraGabrielUK ah got it. thanks for your reply... keep making more videos... you have some really well made content on the channel... Subbed ... :)
Great video Tamara, I am very interested in this combination (AirCross3 +Slypod PRO), especially if it can be linked to shoot a focus. I would like to ask, almost a year later, whether his apps have cooperated well? Or is there always no problem?
@@TamaraGabrielUK Thanks for the response, and a fast one! :D Hmm, I guess that they've shipped some plates with shorter screws, as there is no way that mine can reach the thread, even when very carefully positioned. And on some of materials from the website, there seems to be a spacer animation. Regardless: thanks for help! :)
@@TamaraGabrielUK but you did help, confirming that it should work just like that. :) So instead of a search for a spacer, which would be a waste of time, I just did get a longer screw, and it works great. Thanks! :)
Does the Aircross 3 with your camera on it go over the Slypod Pro’s max payload limit horizontally? It seems it would be over the 7.7lbs limit, no? Does it struggle?
I really need to get out and use my slypod and the Air2, my air 2 seems a bit off as it quickly dis-connets of axis fairly easy, not sure why this happens.
I ended up getting the Aircross 2 to put on my Slypod Pro. Pretty buggy, but the main issue I'm now having is getting the two to sync up. Whenever I press Start the Slypod starts it's motion, but the Aircross doesn't start for another 2 seconds, so the whole thing is out of sync and the Aircross ends up finishing 2 seconds after the Slypod. Have you run into this?
Are you sure that you're setting the motion duration of both the Slypod and gimbal to be the exact same? This was happening to me until I realised I'd managed to knock it a second or two off.
@@TamaraGabrielUK Yes, definitely. I checked with MOZA tech support and they said "We've checked with our IT engineers and they say this is normal. There will be a delay of a few seconds when the two are linkage mode." Pretty nuts that they acknowledge that their own stuff isn't syncing and they pretend that's normal. Oh well.
I use exactly these two and I found them useful without any bugs. The aircross 2 might not be able to hand the weight of your camera and lens though. I a Canon R5 with the small lenses so the setup isn’t heavy for the gimbal but I can’t find a good tripod stand that can carry the setup. Please let me know the tripod you use, the cost is not an issue. I have been unable to get the best out of my setup because of the tripod stand.
I have recently replaced my dysfunctional Aircross 2 with the 3 and definitely like the improvements. But, I’m still having issues getting the Slypod and the Aircross 3 to do a focused object tracking shot in linkage. The Slypod doesn’t extend out to where I want it to end to set of the Aircross to complete its last segment point. It’s a crapshoot to get the correct distance in reference to the object I’m wanting to film. For some reason the behaviors in the app between the two Aircross’ are different.
Hey Tamara, i ve bought a zhiyun crane m3 which just arrived. the product smells horrible like a chemical plant. the worst smell of all my camera addons. Do you remember if the Moza Aircross smelled also at the beginning ?
Great video Tamara, I love your style and aesthetic. I've got the SlyPod Pro and love it but I've heard that the Aircross is seriously buggy and not worth getting so I've postponed buying it. Have you noticed any issues with it or the app yet?
Thanks so much 😊 The app can be buggy and a bit cumbersome to use at times, and there's a bit of a learning curve as it's not very intuitive but once you figure it out, the shots you can get are great. I use the app on Android so not sure what it's like on iOS, but I've not had it disconnect, just be a bit slow sometimes. I would say though that if I were on a shoot with a client I wouldn't have 100% confidence in it not taking a long time and would only use it when doing personal projects when I know I'm not on a time limit. Using the Slypod on it's own with the remote is fantastic though and using the Aircross just as a gimbal alone is also great. I just hope they improve the app in the future.
@@TamaraGabrielUK thank you. I might give the Aircross a miss then until they make improvements but I definitely agree that the Slypod Pro is incredible on its own.
Hi Tameria. Can u attach a Hohem MT2 to the Skyped??
1:13 yes. 💯
Awesome. I'll put something together 😊
Hi what tripod you use for your slypod
Great video thanks 🙏🏾 for the demo. I need to get one of these
No problem 😊
Loved your video! You know if there is a way to set the slypod to do an ease in? I know it does a "slow start" but can't find a slow stop
I think there is but I can’t remember where to find it without connecting it and looking in the app.
I'm curious if you would know if the Mini-P Max gimbal linkage was ever added for the Slypod Pro?
Sorry, no, I don’t know.
Do you think the dji ronin sc will mount on the slypod ?
Maybe, but it won’t have the connection that the Aircross 3 has with the Slypod

Great video. Is the linkage control app working better these days. about a year ago there were issues with it is what i had learnt
Thanks! It can be slow at times, but it's otherwise OK. I'm hoping they do improve it though as it could be better.

Hello! :) How do you attach Slypods Arca-Swiss plate, to the folded in half, Aircross 3? It seems like it needs some kind of spacer, there...
You just scree it on. Need to make sure it’s the right way though.

Ah great! 😊
Please does the slypod pro have to be compatible with your camera? or does everything works from the app?
Everything works for the app or the remote, or directly on the Slypod
@@TamaraGabrielUK I have a canon 90d and sigma 18-35 so I guess that will work right?
The camera doesn’t connect to the Slypod in order for it to function, it’s just like putting your camera on tripod, for example.
@@TamaraGabrielUK thank you very much 🥰
Amazing video, I plan on purchasing the Moza Aircross 3 as well!
Nice! It's a good gimbal to use, really smooth.
would i be able to use my dji rsc 2 instead with the Slypod pro?
You wouldn’t be able to set the motion in the app but yes, you could attach it to the Slypod

Mine didn’t struggle. It will depend which camera and lens you’re using though.
is the app fairly stable now when doing the link and operating both device?
I haven’t actually used it to link the two for quite a while as I haven’t needed to, so I’m not sure.
Is there any way to use this setup without a smartphone?
I really need to get out and use my slypod and the Air2, my air 2 seems a bit off as it quickly dis-connets of axis fairly easy, not sure why this happens.

Thats cool. It would be fun if DJI made a mini motorized slider to use alongside the DJI Pocket🤭
Haha, yeah that would be cool
You can use DJI pocket with any slider by using object track. It work amazing
