Sometimes a kid needs a little spanking. Nothing crazy, just enough to make the kid cry and not want to do it again. Kids aren't mini adults... they really need you to guide them into what's right and give them real consequences for when they act feral.
@@dustin628kids don’t understand violence. They understand reasoning on their level. The only thing spanking does is teaches them to use violence instead of talking things out. Kids aren’t “little adults” but they understand reasoning on their level. Spanking them teaches them to be sneaky and they the consequences is just being hit. It’s much more effective to explain why they shouldn’t do things so they can understand
If you, as an adult, cannot use your words, that isn’t the child’s fault
I'm a grandmother of a non verbal, autistic 3 yr old, learning the Gentle Parenting method. My understanding is the gentle part is more about yourself than the child. Planning properly to prevent poor performance and being patience in each moment, has changed our lives and his development. However, I was born in the 1900's. Respect for elders, comprehension of instruction and manners are non negotiable. I had to patiently figure out how he can communicate. Then I had to listen, to ensure he would listen to me.
Leading by our own physical, verbal and emotional management, is what a child learns from.

I first heard Ms Pat on the breakfast club back in 2017/2018 (I think?!) and I now love her so much and try and watch EVERYTHING I can. I kept skipping this when it came up in my UA-cam feed because I thought I had already seen this episode with Miss Pat. But Miss Pat has been on everybody’s UA-cam lately and everybody’s talk show that I confused the show that I watched her on with Heather McDonald. I’m glad I actually watched this episode because she doesn’t repeat any of her stories. Every time I hear her which is 1 million times with all of the podcast she’s been on lately, it’s fresh in different. I love Miss Pat! And Whitney does a really good job hosting the podcast.

Parenting perspective in relation to "throwing fits at the store" 1 -5 years old the grocery stor is full of new exciting things. I go to the toy aisle and allowing my child to be free to chose where they go and what toys they ouch have taught them to be content when getting the boring (food ect.) Items. All about giving them the freedom to learn their surrounding while teaching responsibility to do what is necessary

5 min mark - "how would they get the money from you if they win?"......so i've been through this, and i used to run payroll. the first way the person who won the judgement would collect the $$ from you is to hire a collection agency (or an attorney can do this), who is able to get records of where you banking institutions are, and then send the judgement to your bank (or any/all banks associated with you, that have $$) to collect on. the bank processes the judgement, and freezes the amount "owed", and then takes it out of your account and gives it to the plaintiff (or their attorney, who BY LAW has to have a trust/clearing account, to then feed to the plaintiff). the bank also charges a legal fee, usually around $100 or so. if collection of the judgement doesn't go the bank route, they can garnish your wages if you're an employee. i believe that's a longer process since that has to go through government systems. additionally, i believe they can also withhold from any tax refunds you're eligible to. it's a whole shit process, and fuck all of the karens who always take shit to court for no reason!!!! (my karen was named LINDA, and she lost!) you can also settle out of court, even if the claim is filed, and before the court date, just update the court/records that you guys hashed it out and the hearing is no longer needed for your case. an attorney cannot represent you in small claims, but they can assist and be moral support.
