Love this! Just tried it two days ago, ordered a bottle yesterday. I loved the grapefruit in the forever, but it seemed like that was about all I got. It seemed flat to me. Just smelled like grapefruit to me. I don’t find the opening of this weird at all. This one has a little more going on or at least I’m able to perceive more. This to me is similar enough to the forever but it’s better to me, it has what I thought the former was lacking. Can’t wait to get it, I’m going to be wearing it a lot this summer for sure. It smells fantastic!
I bought light blue forever last year and was wore it a bit but was unsure about it even though I wore it frequently. Then forgot about it all fall and winter and pulled it back out this spring and fell in love with it. I smell nothing but grapefruit but it’s so refreshing and I love it! Not something I’d wear to impress a woman or smell classy but for general wear in spring summer I won’t be reaching for anything else. I will be picking up this new light blue as well
I smelled this again today and will definitely get a bottle soon. I know it has been discontinued but my local retailer still has a few bottles in stock.
I'm not a fan of grapefruit but this was done right. Italian love is like light blue intense but swap the lemon with grapefruit. They are beautiful for spring and summer, very energizing.
I sprayed this on my hand while at Macys and really disliked it at first. After around 15 minutes, it smelled amazing and lasted for hours. Definitely will be getting a bottle of this.
Great review... and you are so correct, it almost does gives off a "BO" smell at first. But that goes away after about 20mins. This one will be a love or hate at the retail stores.
Such a great summer release. For me this one is all about that violet note. So rich and pertrol-y. Not sure how people equate grapefruit with body odor though? Maybe it’s like cilantro where some people get soapy vibes haha.
I opted for a sample decant and all I have to say is you had better love grapefruit and musk. The opening is in your face with a piercing grapefruit that while not completely synthetic, leans that way. For me, as it dries down it’s unusual with the various notes in play until it settles completely. I find that to be the best part. Upon completion of the dry down, that grapefruit / muskiness is polarizing. It reminds me of L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme, tart citrus on top and sour-musky on the bottom . I had that one and gave it away because while I liked the opening, the dry down was off-putting. I will give it a few wears before I completely dismiss it, but I don’t think it’s going to work for me. I would not wear this in the heat of a summer day. That sour musk thing…too much.
Niche Snobs who hate mainstream designer flankers. Most people give you compliments on these type of scents while the niche snobs will put it down since it’s not unique to each his own.
I never tried it, but different scents interact differently on different people. PH balance is everything. I recall my ex asking me what kind of cologne I was wearing because I smelled so good (she was my ex at the moment, so it wasn't infatuation). It was a Versace and I showed her the bottle. She said her ex had the same one and it didn't smell good on him.
The description you are giving us reminds me of Adam Levine's signature scent that he put out a few years ago. It reminded me of a musty armpit with grapefruit juice
Try it before wanting the EDP--I was pleasantly surprised by how good it Italian Love EDT truly is. It's better than Forever IMHO and that is EDP....I was still getting whiffs of it hours after application and the dry down is amazing.

The performance is horrible for me. After like 30mins its a skin scent
I do enjoy the musky and grapefruit of this fragrance and blend with my skin perfectly.
I’ve never smelled LB forever, but I LOVE Italian Love. I had to purchase it immediately.

I tested it two days ago and love the lingering undertone, went back to the mall and made sure it was the correct one. And ordered online.

I have to say that I do love this after the dry down for sure. On me it last very long and very appealing to me after the dry down.
