My dog does this. He has none of the reasons mentioned for doing it, so I think he just likes the taste of his poo as it may still have a faint taste of the dinner he previously ate. It might not have digested properly after he bolted his food down? He doesn't eat poo in the street or his dog friend's poo when we went on holiday over the weekend only his own. He is far from neglected, is as good as gold so doesn't get told off just asked not to do something if he has been a bit bold and eats Royal Canin French Bulldog food.
Actually, thinking about it a carrot or a granny smith apple might clean those gnashers and freshen that breath. I will get that with the alum powder.
Can you invent a dog chewy sweet that leaves an apple scented breath please?
