I'm beginning to work on a personal project that I probably don't have any intention of publishing for now. It's a series based on my likes and dislikes.
I’m currently on a working on a Webtoon project called Delinquent King, and a Manga Project Chronicles of the Celestial Knight. Due to not writing a script and not planning out my story properly, I’ve ended up have to reboot my series, I regret not discovering your videos, because they’ve really helped a lot.
I'm glad my videos could help! Thank you for checking out my stuff and taking the time to share! I really appreciate it! Best of luck with your projects!
You're really insightful, these are excellent tips and tricks! Well done. I'm working on my own kinda manga/comic and I'm working towards actually making the first chapter right now. It's an interesting process and quite difficult, so these videos of yours are a great resource!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I really appreciate it! I'm happy my video was helpful lol. It's exciting to hear you're working on your own project! Best of luck!
I recently have been working on manga ONE SHOT series where the story relies on cinematic emotions and lifestyle events in apocalypse with inhuman creatures and humans. There isn’t a lot of action like any others because it mostly likely would feel like the last of us or walking dead except having most character play a role as bounties and there aren’t any zombies. I just post a few manga pages on my media.
I tend to fall into a trap where I can't imagine my panels beyond long large horizontal rectangles in the same shape of a video (trying to explain it best I can). This is because when creating my manga script, I imagined the whole thing animated and how everything would look regarding camera angle, wide shot/close shot etc. Being an animation student, I have habits for my animation workflow that I can't help but apply to my manga workflow :( When I do add a panel that doesn't look like a screenshot it so heavily bothers me.
I totally get that! Animation storyboards are very similar to comic storyboards, so there is some overlap. What I will say is a lot of amateur comic/manga/webtoon artists have is struggling to use different camera angles Animators have a advantage in that sense because they're used to thinking like that! But like you said, manga has lots of different panel layouts. Aside from horizontal ones, vertical ones, diagonal ones, and panel breaks are used 1 page and 2 page spreads are also popular. I'd recommend just taking a look at you favorite manga and seeing how they layout their pages! Most manga artists have a handful of layouts that they like to use, once you find that out, it's easy to add that to your visual library!
@@MonitorComics Thanks for the tips! I do have a few manga with me so I'll study them for examples. Definitely gonna take a while to train my brain not to see every scene through a strict movie camera lens haha
Thank you very much! I'm currently looking for a way to learn how to draw a storyboard for my manga "Infernal Beast". and I really like the berserker style. Both the drawing and the frames.and your video will help a lot! thank you!
I’m so happy that you are staying consistent! That’s just amazing! I’m thinking of doing videos every day because there’s so much to say and to show but I’m too busy with my manga . I seriously don’t have any free time 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m happy you uploaded ! I’m wanting while taking a pause !
Thank you Milli! Your manga looks amazing, I can't wait until it's finished and we can get you on the channel lol. I'd love to see you post videos every day, but I know how hard it is to record, edit, and advertise. Make sure you're taking enough breaks and taking care of yourself! Best of luck!!

Repent and believe the gospel! Jesus died for our sins and rose 3 days later so we could be forgiven of our sins and be gifted with everlasting life. Put your faith In Jesus and follow him. Life is short, please make the right choice today.
@@8A29AKSHANTMESHRAM-ib6so I'm posting it because comment sections are a good place to spread the gospel, since lots of people have the chance to see it and read the message. This is an interesting point! 4 Koma typically have a forced page flow, with the 4 panels on each side of the page (There are exceptions of course like K-On which are 4koma but sometimes incorporate a fifth large panel.) The only way to help encourage page flow in a 4koma manga is to place your speech bubbles strategically so your reader can follow the eye path. If you were making a 4koma that reads right to left, maybe have speech bubbles that begin in the top right hand corner and end in the bottom left. Thinking about which way characters are facing can also help with this. In the last panel, you could even have a character looking up towards the next strip if it fits with the context of your story. Generally,, 4 Koma are structured in a way that most people have an idea of how to read them, so I don't think page flow is AS detrimental as traditional manga pages with a greater panel diversity. I hope that helped somewhat! Thanks for the comment!
