Incredible images, almost emotionally moving. The darkness and contrast with the mysterious eerie mists and illuminations make for a dreamlike atmosphere. And the music might be the best song I've ever heard in my life. Excellent video!!!
If these pics are authentic, and I truly hope and believe they are, then brother you've photographed something that few ever get a chance to even view, let alone capture on film. I've witnessed the Brown Mountain Lights one time several years ago. Was Halloween night, and I thought what more spooky a place to meet up with some friends I rarely got to spend much time with than Wiseman's View. I'd been out there many times, and yet had never seen anything resembling what I'd heard the Brown Mountain Lights were supposed to look like.....till this night. After arriving at the parking area for Wiseman's View, I met up with my friends, and we each carried a bit of firewood I''d brought, along with a CD/Cassette player to be able to listen to some tunes, and made our way through the very dark woods out to Wiseman's View. A safety note here: Please be extremely careful here. There are signs warning about this being an area of high cliffs, and brother, they aren't kidding. One wrong step....and YOU may become but a cautionary footnote in the long history of Wiseman's View. So, we arrive, build a nice welcoming campfire, plug in some tunes to listen to, and catch up/chat, while ever so often, standing up and scanning the horizon for anything out of the ordinary. See anything? Nope. Well, set back down then. After about 2 hours of visiting, listening to some music, enjoying the campfire, a light rain began to fall (is well after midnight by now) so needless to say, after a final quick scan of the horizon, and not seeing anything, we all took off for our respective vehicles, and got ready to say our goodbyes. Happens though, I realized I'd left a hatchet I'd brought with me out at the overlook, so I, along with a friend, walked back out there with me to retrieve it. After finding my hatchet, we both stood there at the edge of the cliffs, both doubting we were going to see anything unusual......man, did you see that??? look over there......and what we both saw were streams of lights....one at a time rise up above the treeline, first red, then blue....looking through the cleft between Hawksbill on the left and Table Rock on the right. Seemed to rise up out of the forest as a round 'orb', of relatively small size, then disappear quickly as a red/blue stream of light. This is the best description of them we could both agree on. And, after about 15 minutes or so of standing there, getting rained on, but transfixed by what we were seeing, the rainfall intensity picked up, and a heavy fog moved in, pulling the curtain down on one of the strangest, yet exhilarating experiences I've ever had. The Brown Mountain Lights are real, no doubt.

@@michaelwelch551 I'd have to agree with original comment and disagree with yours. They are 100% real and really do not look like this. A couple of these frames are clearly campsites, as I have compared in my own analysis. Think of blue Christmas lights strung along a camper awning or lining a tent pole, facing a blazing orange fire. Those images in this video are clearly zoomed in and located towards the bottom of the gorge. Also, the consistency of the green and purple lights against the dimly lit night sky from the city or town (Morganton or Linville depending where you're standing as the crow flies) suggest a long exposure, which can make any dim flashlight look bright as a fire. In fact I'd say they're flares or even firecrackers, which would be a fun photography project if not irresponsible being so close to a wooded area/pyros are not allowed. You can tell they're being manipulated too. Traditional brown mountain lights _look_ like swamp gas, which is hazy and poppy, however has been somewhat proven to not be swamp gas just looks like it. Edit: as far as no roads into the gorge, no not into the deepest curve of it but just pay enough attention and you'll see many dancing white lights overlap with red lights eventually, which is the tail-tell signature that a trail or road is present with travelers, particularly from Wiseman's View. Ultimately however this is all my opinion based on personal experience and research. I see your a member of a team that researches this and that's great, I still think these pictures are a passion project by the video uploader.
nah, have seen foxfire several times, and the light produced by it is far too dim, feeble to be seen from the distances the Brown Mountain Lights have been witnessed from.

If the lights were a hoax, wouldn't you need a pretty powerful source to illuminate an area that large? It would also have to be portable. Do you know if there are minerals and quartz on that mountain? It would explain a lot, but maybe it's just better that it remain a mystery. Very nice pictures. Now I have to put Brown Mountain on my bucket list.

It's very hard to record decently with a DSLR at night, and I don't understand why you think its so difficult to set up a tripod and just take the picture when you see the lights lol, or you can just have a remote shutter.

There is a road over where those lights are at as they are probably head lights from cars. I am going in December to see them. I have a zoom camera and will verify what they really are.
An ATV with red lights 20 feet in the trees.... That's more rational than something paranormal!? Propaganda is go good these days it makes people utterly retarded and they can't grasp what their own eyes see. The want someone else to tell them what it is. We're doomed.

Bone Mason post the link please
@@DizzyEggMonkey where is the link broooo?
Josh, I'm from the area (born & raised). I'm from McDowell but now live in Burke. I've always heard about them but I've never attempted to go see them. Any advice? For your videos: time of year? weather? time of day? Etc.. Awesome videos btw!
Fall is the best, but you can see them anytime. I've seen them at Wisemans view and a place called lost dog. Anywhere along old hwy 105 on the west rim of the gorge with a good view of the gorge and table rock would work.
Hey Robbie, I’m from McDowell too, and my family has been going to Wiseman’s View for years. We would go primarily during warm weather, but most of the time it would be late, after 12 midnight when we would start seeing lights. They move. Once my retired aunts were there and the light on the mountain across the gorge moved instantly into the trees right below where they were standing! I think everyone needed new underwear that night. The light was circular and glowed in the treetops. Nobody really knows what it is, but it is most definitely 100% REAL.
@@janet982 , Hi. . Canam missing 411 on utube has just did an amazing video on these lights. I just thought that you would be interested in seeing his video. 👍
@@charlottewhite1277 Thank you! ❤️
@@janet982 , Did you get a chance to see Canam missing 411 video on these lights that He did just the other day? And your welcome 🤗 have a wonderful day
We live in an era with hd everything n we still can't get a good picture of a fucking big foot ufo alien or lights that appear in a Forest almost every day shit
Why dont we blaze a trail to the location.
Josh, my name is Sean Franklin and I'm a reporter at WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee. We are a local TV station. I am working on a story on the Brown Mountain Lights, and I was hoping to use this in my story. I would use small clips of it, and give you credit on air. Please let me know soon! Thank you!
Sean Franklin as long as you credit me, that should be fine. I would be interested to see your story once it’s finished.
Light balls also appear on volcano Merapi ,
It really isnt flares, drones torches etc...
SO THEY ONLY LAST A SECOND OR 2 THEN, im cancelling my then, way too much expence for 2 seconds.
Josh: What shutter speeds did you shoot at? Many of these pix look to be long time exposures of a moving single point source light.
Good eye, most of these were 20-30 sec exposures while mounted to a tripod so any movement I’d purely the light itself.
@@ArkAdventures Thanks! I've got a 500mm lens (not a mirror lens so it is really sharp) and a DSLR that can shoot at high ISO ratings. Might have to take a trip up that way this summer. Regardless of what else these lights may be, they are beautiful!
I would camp and wait for the lights and look and see
Yall can't tell me that's not a ufo in mountains where ppl barely b at they r movin to fast and look up the movie alien abduction its about the brown mountain lights
Hey buddy quik question do u ever get any sasquatch sightings up there
Neil Young not as of yet
Maybe it's that neon girl from infamous
Confira o Paulding Light no youtube
If the lights were a hoax, wouldn't you need a pretty powerful source to illuminate an area that large? It would also have to be portable. Do you know if there are minerals and quartz on that mountain? It would explain a lot, but maybe it's just better that it remain a mystery. Very nice pictures. Now I have to put Brown Mountain on my bucket list.
The lights look like the lights from the Carolina mountains really strange stuff
Neon at a country music bar.
It’s probably some moonshiner having a rave.
They're real
im calling bullshit tell me how you happen to get all these shots at the rite time to the T? why dint you take videos there much harder to edit thats why.
It's very hard to record decently with a DSLR at night, and I don't understand why you think its so difficult to set up a tripod and just take the picture when you see the lights lol, or you can just have a remote shutter.
+stuart hit the nail on the head
Nate, sweetheart, you are wrong. I’m 59 years old, from that area, and I’ve seen them many times.
Wow
Not Bad faked but the Red Blue Ufo is just an Blue and an Red Layer with Overlay effect in PS the rest of the White lights ar Frame Renders from Campers because the Brown Mountain Light every time just apear as 3 Lights and i saw Bodys off Guys

I ride at the brown Mtn ATV park and i think that's what this is. ATVs off the normal trails. That's why they had 2 lights then 4 then 6. its new super bright LED fog lights.
Yes, because they had ATV's in the 1800's (inject sarcasm) It's been seen and reported far longer than ATV's have been around.
Exactly, the legends of these lights go back hundreds of years.
SavageTech I agree. They look like vehicles with LEDs. This is not the Brown Mountain Lights.
Are they flyer flies with little light bulbs on there bums ass cheeks lol if thats what u call it ..maybe they having a gathering all meet up ,what we call in down under Australia 😄✌👍 very interesting hmm anyone els know .
Clearly a train
Maybe it's electricity......
This been solved 😂
Im admittedly an amateur researcher, but this video screams hoax.
I assure you all the pictures are genuine.
There is a road over where those lights are at as they are probably head lights from cars. I am going in December to see them. I have a zoom camera and will verify what they really are.
Go look at first vid on this subject
I think they're angels.
Probably, as the bible accurate descriptions

atv in the woods.. with bright led lights..
Umm..just no.
Sure is hell aint what you think..
An ATV with red lights 20 feet in the trees.... That's more rational than something paranormal!? Propaganda is go good these days it makes people utterly retarded and they can't grasp what their own eyes see. The want someone else to tell them what it is. We're doomed.
Yes, native americans had ATV'S 1300 years ago. Native American's have been seeing them for centuries.
Mike Panocatapolis Yeah it is

Demons
Let's hope not. Rather it be aliens.
Ha. It’s not demons, Mr Murder. I am a solid Christian and I’ve seen these lights for years.
Motor bike

Lucky we have you because you know everything that happens in this world.
These are clearly Brown mtn atv/vehicle lights. Lame.
