I remembered the orange and said yes. The screen told me (and my travelling partners) to exit that line and go to the desk. The offiicer took the fruit and then sent me to the next post. It meant that I skipped a line that had several hundred people in front of me and was able to go straight to my terminal for my connecting flight.

You can take a car that was abandoned 60 years ago in the desert, and the core vehicle is still good... just some light surface rust, but never eats into the metal...
