  • This is part of an exploration of music of the Central Province, Papua New Guinea featuring the PNG Peroveta Singers of Canberra. In this video the group responds to the PARADISEC collections of IC1 and MG1 with a Sene performance of traditional songs whose meanings are explained by group members Deveni Temu and Tommy Dietz. Sit back and enjoy the journey through the beautiful songs of the region which are also available with transcriptions in the PC2 collection.

I watch this program and love our relatives loving abroad. It is very touching and exciting of the traditional songs. Wish of young generations of Canberra to join the team to know the cultures and songs as well. Thank you

Kitoro was too fancy and the song is 'Toregogo Geruna' not Torogo Kologana. However thank you for keeping the culture alive ❤

Correction: It's Torogogo..is a native bird found in Central Province..Geruna means: The rear of the bird's (Torogogo) head.
