instead of going underground due to the crazy number of people alive today, we urgently need to drastically cut the population of the planet. China tried to but even though it would of helped other countries criticized them via tv and radio news. it is something all countries worldwide do and now. living and working underground will require even more energy which thus pollutes the planet even more. there is also the health concern for the citizens due to no sun shine (vitamin d). we today already have a vitamin d deficiency epidemic, going to live and work underground will just make this problem worse.

People who have to dictate the conditions that others must live by lack real imagination and creativity in their problem solving skills. If they make private cars illegal and provide free public transit that is both comfortable and frequent they could reduce pollution and free up a large portion of existing roads for other uses. I lived without a car for decades in Toronto which actually has a poor transit system but is still adequate to take me anywhere I want to go without the need for a personal car. Any city willing to create a world class public transit system could baan private vehicles easily.

-Square miles..-
Put cameras on the roof, pointed toward the sky. Then in all the underground rooms, install "windows" with flat screen TVs showing video of the sky, from the rooftop camera. People could see the sunrise, the sun move across the sky, shadows move, and sunset. They could see the clouds move by, airplanes fly over. They wouldn't feel like they are underground.
This is no substitute for the real thing; people already spend too much time staring at screens.
i decide? make a reclamation area.. finish..
if you are going to reclaim land, get soil from under the sea/ocean... if you are going to flatten a mountain or excavate underground and fill the coastline/sea to make more land. you'll contribute to the latest global problem... rising sea level.
Can the underground use for PMD users?

instead of going underground due to the crazy number of people alive today, we urgently need to drastically cut the population of the planet.
Can you buy some more from Malaysia?
where ever there is money to be made,, there is someone willing to build... WHY ARENT WE ON THE MOON OR MARS...... BECAUSE IT CANNOT BE DONE.
Nhìn ông này giống tổng thống indo nhỉ...ông từng làm thống đốc tỉnh nào inđo...em làm quy hoạch giỏi đấy...nhìn Sài Gòn với Hà Nội quy hoạch ớn 😂😂😂
You could also have restricted population growth.. or is that impossible?
@Laurence Vanhelsuwe,
Sure, it's possible. But then, that would be someone dictating the reproductive rights and freedom of others. I am 59, and I've never been married or had any children. And I still wouldn't want to impose that kind of restriction upon others! We are no better than they and we have no claim to any high moral ground in this. People who have to dictate the conditions that others must live by lack real imagination and creativity in their problem solving skills. The fact is that there is plenty of freedom to go around with careful planning and design. Only a lazy fascist dictator would restrict population growth, when there is so much that can be done!
being on top of the ground is like being at the head of a pin
after collecting all that water would they empty it into the sea? what a waste
DANG THA UNDERGROUND! 😳 Yall bettta think about STACKING the city on top of itself. I know you've seen THE FIFTH ELEMENT! LMAO!🤣🤣😭😭😭
Want more space? Clear the bungalows

The Apollo program the dreams epitaph...
it was my idea that humaan should live underground and animals upper groung
If we limited growth and our cities weren't so giant we would need to be digging holes in the ground.
I have a solution you might like; have you ever watched a movie called The Purge?
I believe TMH, and his words! Hills/mountains are melting, building are being shaken off their foundation, the earth has,is, will be shaken. Even more so. People and lands are experiencing weather that they never had before. The only preparation that can be done is to obey TMH and pray. That is what I believe, if you do not, it is given to you. I do not condemn nor judge you. The action of the earth speaks for itself! It is in front of your face.
If they make private cars illegal and provide free public transit that is both comfortable and frequent they could reduce pollution and free up a large portion of existing roads for other uses. That would be much wiser than creating underground highways. In a city state there is no excuse for personal vehicles. I lived without a car for decades in Toronto which actually has a poor transit system but is still adequate to take me anywhere I want to go without the need for a personal car. Any city willing to create a world class public transit system could baan private vehicles easily.
Are we now to become moles for the profit of greedy realtors?
boom
Sinkholes had entered the chat
Hmmm we need to invent a use for sinkholes. Those fking sucktards!!!
wait till one day theres no more space left underground too
Fallout Shelter. LOL

The earth is very thick use it
Earthquake...
I’ve often thought about being able to dig a hole all the way through the earth. I think at first you would fall, then you would be walking, then you would have to climb out. Anyone have an opinion on this?? I just can’t grasp what would happen??
Heat and pressure would be a problem.
Christian B. Yes I understand all that, just what if it was a hole Would you fall out of the other side?? Or would you have to climb out?? I think climb.
In all your ways, acknowledge God who create to be creative and solve your problems, ingenious solutions, who opened your minds, and give you creative insights, don't not trust in the work of your hands, but in God, and you be amused and frightened by your creativity. Failure to do so, there is date for the destruction of you and all your works.
Man's / human's duty is to serve God, all other blessing will be added to you. He has destroyed many other civilizations because they have failed, seek him, the creator.
Why build underground?
Africa is vast and mostly uninhabited.
Build a mega city in a desert for a fraction of the cost of building underground.
Singapore might have to re examine it's attitude to it's historic areas.
An interesting film utterly ruined by idiotic advertising !!
Bad idea!! The increasing and coming earthquakes, sinkholes, that would be very unwise! I hope it will not suffer like Indonesia, sinking because of the weight of the building.
We aren't located near major plate boundaries and suffer liquefaction, chill.
@@jonathanstupidcheesespaghetti I have been chilled for years!! The earth is unpredictable. I am glad to hear your confidence, I hope and pray for all the people in that area. I see landslide in Singapore all the time from people who live there. Try it somewhere else! WE, my eye, another lying troll.
@@tanker1960 how can you run away from the geological truth? That is just like saying countries like Africa should fear harsh winter coming this end of year and that we should all pray for them. Sounds stupid but that is what you are writing. Singapore is not located at any plate boundaries so earthquakes is non-existent. About sinkholes, unless you are an engineer or someone that is educated in Singapore which you are not because of the level of thinking you have, reinforced structures would solve that issue after some incidents that happened before and have been carefully thought through in all the new infrastructures and existing infrastructures.
@@joshualiang3954 I do not live near plate movement and we have earth quakes! what did they teach you in school. check yourself, the earth is changing, weather patterns happening where they did not occur before.
@@joshualiang3954 Africa are/is experience weather it has not seen before! Please do your homework! the earth is indeed changing. I see people still with their head in the ground. Get off youtube for your information and subscribe to the countries news service and see for yourself!! Watch how you imply someone is stupid!! I do not run from anything but run head long into it, raised that way and training!!
this video came immediately after a video on Singapore's rising sea levels. It just doesn't make sense to keep hollowing out the land through digging while exacerbating sinking of the entire island. Penny wise pound foolish?
Rather than attempting to create new land, why not stop having so many children that tax the worlds resources? It’s more than just the living space at stake here. We have 8 billion people in a world suited to support closer to half that. What does that tell you?!
Long term planning huh... Our governments idea of that is 4 years, to the next election.....
If that.
UK government how can I get rich quick f___ the people planning model
I didn't see any farms.....
