Finally a Women who is not SNOB, just a perfume reviwer, simple, elegant, and speaking about normal but very good fragances. Love it.
If you watch her other videos she is def more snobby and always recommends expensive fragrances that most people can't afford. I certainly can't/won't spend $225 plus on a fragrance. Plus she usually only suggests French brands and sometimes very high priced designer fragrances.

I get many compliments wearing Joop and Voyage, Voyage in specific is one of my best it is oceanic fresh and has good longevity.
It would be helpful also if u can give an evaluation on Le male and it’s flankers.
I bought Encre Noir for my husband but I'm going to have to buy it again because I keep reaching for it so I can wear it myself! It is such a gorgeous scent. I'll take your recommendation and also get the Emanuel Ungaro for him as a "sorry I keep stealing your perfumes" gift.

All I can say is YES!! Lalique Lion is my daily driver for good reason, Roucel created a true masterpiece there. Most of these are already in my collection, or underway to my mailbox in time for my own Christmas presents ;) And the rest I will just have to blind buy, since we seem to have similar taste in cheapies. Near-clone to Creed Bois du Portugal. BdP starts out more citrus zest, but as they dry down their scent profile converge. Lalique Pour Homme lion is my non special occasion "Bois du Portugal" that I can wear frequently. So I can save BdP for special occasions.
Encre Noir flankers are also a very good option if you like the original.
I just bought Emanuel Ungaro L'homme. Opening is excellent, dry down is powdery, reasonably long lasting scent. Must buy cheapie!

Anyway, I enjoy to wear Cool Water during the summer and I also like a lot Zara night pour homme 2 and 3. Probably these two are a sort of dupes but for the price they are amazing!

Wonderful haul, Josephine ... seriously! Moreover, some of your purchases are cornerstones in perfumery, must-try fragances in the game. Zino Davidoff is great for transitioning seasons, stay with it 'til the drydown; reformulations may come and go, but its sandalwood use has been praised for ages. This and Joop! Homme were Michel Almairac's creations especially made for the love/hate followers.
Your Lacoste Blanc description really matches the summery clean-shirt type of frag.
Picked my curiosity on both Lalique Homme and the Ungaro.

Perfect review, thx. Lacoste is one of my favorites, obsessed with clean crisp soupy frags. On the other hand, Lovely & JLo perfumes I recently got were a disappointment, never again celebrity frags. Can you pls review Armand Basi perfumes, always perfect choice when undecided or in rush, and very affordable about $24. Appreciate it

I got encre noire a l'extreme and also Guerlain vetiver extreme. Both are amazing at good prices. EN a l'extreme is a bit more dense but it spreads/disperses so well in the air and has a smoky kind of salty sillage, whearas guerlain vetiver extreme is a but more "clean smelling" and lighter yet smokey and mysterious. I love the both very very much.

I am glad that you like Joop Homme people keep hating and hating it as it was so common years ago but I still love it myself specially the Cinnamon note ,Encre noire always had mixed feelings about as unfortunately it reminds me of bino sylvester by paco rabanne which I hated much years ago but It gets me compliments and perfect for winter
I enjoy Banana Republic Tobacco&Tonka Bean... Beautiful. Also love the Dark Cherry and Amber from them. You should try out Elizabeth and James (Nirvana).

My favorite cheap perfumes are Joop! Wow pour femme and Joop! Le Bain. You should try them. They don't smell cheap imo

I know this is about fragrances, but you make me want to put on makeup, which I haven't been doing since Covid. I collect fragrance as well as lipstick, but I have been ignoring my lipsticks. Your makeup is really good, I love your lip color, and you are inspiring me to find a similar lip color in my collection (I think my new Charlotte Tilbury in First Dance might be similar). Also, I will buy Shagaf Oud one of these days.

Great video. PS cologne by Paul Sebastian is a great cheap, long lasting barbershop fragrance.
JP Fine Cologne is a stronger, richer, more fleshed out near-clone to classic Old Spice. And it lasts all day! Very good performance. I think the two New Jersey creators intended this to be a richer, stronger Old Spice.
I have Emmanuel Ungaro L’Homme. It’s like a peachy Dior Homme.
I am a woman and I adore Dior Homme Parfum, thus the Ungaro seems alluring and the Encre Noir de Lalique. Merci, Josephine.
My most affordable but don't last are Maja, Dance in the Rain and Sweet Almond Honey (blend both) Bath and Bodyworks, Ekos Freesia and a divine Vanilla "Forbidden "...ciao!!
Shagahf oud by Swiss Arabian is apparently an affordable dupe of Resala💖 by Arabian Oud (saffron, rose, vanilla, oud, chocolat). I only have Resala which i love
My favorite cheapie is très nuit by Armaf. As it smells like green irish tweed by creed.

Hi Josephine, thanks for presenting this refreshing and eclectic mix of men's and women's fragrances! It was interesting and informative. My next purchase will be Nautica Voyage I think. I have had Joop! and Cool Water in my collection since they were released in Australia in the 1990s. Both are still wearable.

I have some good cheapies that I enjoy too like Zara Vetiver pamplemousse, Body shop Bowhanti, Fuji Green tea or Rituals Roi d'orient. I need to try Encre noire this sounds like something I would enjoy 😊
Shaghaf oud is synthetic but really good for the price and a great cheapie alternative between Lancôme Oud bouquet and Jo Malone Velvet rose & oud 😉

I love Lovely, but she’s got this amazing unique perfume called Stash. Just perfect. Favorite cheapie that I have is probably Femme Individuelle Montblanc and Korloff Rouge Santal which is unisex, but is slightly more masculine oh and so delicious!

Stash is more faceted and unique I would say. Lovely is nice and probably easier to wear from day to day. Depends on the mood really!
I bought Lovely and was so underwhelmed, I ended up donating it to charity. Totally linear. I couldn't believe the hype behind this fragrance

It would have been interesting to see how all these fragrances dry down. The impressions we get just after spraying are often bias.

Lalique pour Homme (Lion) smells pretty close to the discontinued Creed Bois du Portugal :-)
If you like Encre Noir, you will love Encre Noir à l'Extreme, which has additional patchouli.

Like you Josephine I have an expensive taste and buy niche most of the time. However, al haramain Junoon noir can give some of them run for their money in terms of quality and performance. Such a nice scent. Never tried any from this house before

i fortunately received an unsolicited sample of br icon fragrances with another fragrance purchase from walmart, and i fell in love with 06 black platinum (as well as tobacco & tonka bean). I have a bottle now and just want to keep smelling it - not particularly masculine, but intoxicating to me. Other cheapies I like:
blue seduction (antonio banderas)
just me for men (paris hilton)
first instinct blue (a&f)
white musk (the body shop)
bentley for men intense
halloween man x
1981 los angeles

Surprised how similar to dior homme ungaro l'homme is.
Joop! Homme is masterpiece! Smells amazing and isn't expansive. One of my favorites scents from office with Versace The Dreamer, Michael Kors for Men (2001) and Animale Animale for Men. All these scents are very cheap.

@@jusderose Josephine, The Dreamer is very beautiful scent for me. The last fragance with Gianni Versace alive. I didn't like when try this but after i was fall in love with this scent. The current formulation isn't good as was in the past, but for try still good. It's different, daring scent. I i recommend you try the line shadescents scents from Mac: Other takes by Tom Ford - i think you know because is from Estée Lauder :) Velvet Teddy and My Heroine. In geral cheap scents with great quality. My Heroine is narcotic for me and unfortunately in Brazil is hard to find from backup 😭. Have a nice day 🇧🇷🌹
Great haul! Given the downgrade that Dior went through, will check out that Ungaro L'Homme.
About your Encre Noire bottle there @5:00 , it's not fully closed. There is a gap between cap and bottle there, you need to push it all the way down, there should be no gap at all when fully closed. A very sharp and satisfying click will let you know when that cap is really closed down.
Lalique Equus, such a beautiful scent! To me very woody, at least the EDP, which is the one I have. Surprised you didn't describe it as woody, so maybe you have the EDT and it's not as woody? Not only very woody but also with a very peculiar and unusual kind of wood scent to my nose. (From Fragrantica it's supposed to be sequoia.)
From Banana Republic Oud Mosaic I don't get animalic really, rather it brings to memory some white wines and a wine cellar type of vibe.
Don't have Neroli Woods, but I really prefer Mugler Cologne over Neroli Portofino to begin with :)

On the Frash Cheap side and for the Summer, I can add John Varvatos Artisan Pure and Lacoste L'Homme Intense ( blue mate bottle ) I did purchase from Lalique the Encre Noir but the Sport, which comes lighter than the one you selected, so can be wear in our Tropical Environment. let me also suggest a nice scent, which is Dylan Blue from Ferragamo, my son already stole it from me LOL ! J'aime beaucoup Ungaro pour femme d'Emanuel Ungaro en format 90 ml. Avec son flacon mastoc déconstructiviste en verre-plastique fumé-jauni, le jus couleur violet du jus est pour moi celui du bonheur. Il me donne toujours la banane. Je l'appelle mon "Happy Juice". Sympa, la vidéo !
