Doesn't sound rotational, so I'd check drop links, arb bushes - you'll need to disconnect the drop links for those & the inner ball joints. Can also check the lower suspension arm on these by rolling the car slowly & braking hard. If the wheel rotates a little, it indicates a worn bush. R53 suspension takes a beating as it's short travel. Also look in the strut towers for torn top mounts, very common problem. Might as well check the o/s engine mount, they fail & leak onto the chassis rail & dog bone too. Good luck.
did you change the brake master cylinder ? if the cylinder on a R56 is bigger it will also give you more braking power. also does the 15" wheel still fit ? for my winter wheel I use 15" mag wheel
@@angrywargamer8836 well yes and no if the piston size are the same you are totaly right. if the piston size are different, keeping the same master cylinder will make the brake less powerfull. in my experience with modified jeep. people change the differential for les say a f250. the wheel cylinder and caliper at the front are bigger. on top of that add big tires that are heavy. well you will never stop in the same distance than before any modification. adding an f250 master cylinder help a lot. now the question is are the piston in his caliper bigger? if they are the same size but the pad surface is bigger. you will need more force. not by a lot.
Stop using widow makers to jack up your car and definitely stop going under your car using them without jack stands. They're called widow makers for a reason. Safety first
@@FriendsCarRepairCornerwhy does he say it’s not necessary? I have these in my cupboard currently, they’re in pieces they’re the cooper s ones and I paid £40 for them. Can’t assemble them for the life of my so they’re still there a year on ahaha
I have a pair of these on my shelf it’s on my list of things to do but the lovely British weather is putting me off 😂😂

That sounds like a drop link
Good shout, I’ll give that a check when I next have the opportunity. Thanks :)

it doesnt give you more power. Bigger master cylinder will give you shorter pedal travel and stiffer pedal generally speaking

@@patfaf3326 I think the R56 pistons are bigger up front
@@patfaf3326 apparently you can't upgrade the master cylinder un R53s, no space for it

Spent a lot of money on a bleeding kit unnecessarily.
£25 I don't think is a lot of money. Saves me having to get someone else out to pump the brakes for me.
