Gaudete

My arrangement of the old Christmas song "Gaudete" (which means "Rejoice"...and boy do we need to find things to rejoice in at the moment).
I asked around Frome for instruments and tried to arrange what I was offered into some kind of coherent piece. Please understand that this isn't about showing off about how many instruments I can play, because to be honest, I play most of them atrociously. I just love doing arrangements, playing different instruments etc. and I was really struck both by how generous and trusting people are, and how many people have got instruments just lying around. I'd encourage ANYONE to have a go: learn any bloody instrument; borrow one...buy one cheap off ebay. **Just try it**. Learning instruments is an incredible joy (for you, if not your family and neighbours). I won't be sending many cards this year, so this is my
card to all and sundry. Special thanks to Tanya, Jo, Andy, Tom, Sarah, Eleanor, Joe, Mary and Poppy...who lent me instruments (whether they knew it or not). I'm bound to have forgotten somebody. Forgive me.
