Wow, I could use that rain!!! Almost lost some of my blueberry bushes. My raspberries and blackberries are finally producing enough to provide daily nutrients without going to the store. Thanks for posting the recipes. I finally have my own binder but it's always good to have confirmation of successful glazes.
I’m a newbie potter who loves a more matte finish. Only kiln available is electric so no gas experimentation for me 😢. Really enjoy seeing all your vids, always learn something or many things watching.

Love this video - as always your first views are sometimes priceless! I really enjoy the fact that you are still experimenting with different glaze combinations and applications. AND thanks again for sharing your recipes - I have used several so far and love them!
Wow-wee - Lots of cool pieces/colors! - I wonder if any of the bakery staff have their own personal ‘best of’” collections of your mugs, since they’re the first to see them? Thank you for your continued generosity in sharing your work with us :)
Beautiful pots and generous sharing as always, THANK YOU! I use your ∆6 Slow cool schedule exclusively now for my glaze firings. My glazes now are consistent and look gorgeous every time 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.
I loved 💕 your brushed on textured bowls. Very beautiful. Thank you for sharing your recipes. My Field Mouse glaze came out blue in my kiln lol. I’m using your recipe to mine to see if there is a difference to help me correct my issue. Love your work! Thank you again for sharing the different firings to show glaze reactions to gas vs. electric
I love the brush and sponge work on your large bowls Vaughan 😍 And very interested in a brush work video. I’m thinking to make up some Folk art white, yours is very yellow?
Hi, I've been watching you for some time, although this is the first I've asked a question. First let me say, I love your work. I was wondering what kind of wire do you use to make your stilts with? And would it be the same kind for cone 10?
Beautiful results! Again! The oatmeal you put on top of the others (for example at 12:55) is it the first recipe (2:25) or the second (2:29)? Is it the same oatmeal that turns that purple pink at 9:15. That is such a nice combo of colors!
Really like your works being glazed in and outside especially the flat bottom which I do not see commonly. I am attached to a shared studio with a shared firing schedule planned by the owner. So my Tenmoku glaze always came out darkish brown and no 'gold' pots at all...I assume your kiln firing was a slow cool range with any soaked before/after? Appreciate your advise. Thank you.
Hi, At 9.13, could you please explain the glazes you used ? Was it purple all over then a blue then an oatmeal over the blue ? Thank you :) At 20.18 there is more but I am not sure If it is the purple in your recipies with somethin gelse over the top.

Thank you for watching.
The brush strokes one from the electric kiln firing, bottom row......just WOW!! All your work is amazing but that one was just perfect.
Thank you Vaughan, love the brushed large bowls at the end, oh who am I kidding ? I love them all!!!!! Stay safe with all the fires 😘
Thank you, it has rained for almost two weeks, we were lucky.
Such wonderful kiln unloadings. You have sure been extremely busy. I do like the brush strokes.

The staff there get all the seconds, I carry a box there when I get enough to go around without any one missing out. They really appreciate them.
You’re such a great person/artist, Vaughan! I’m so grateful I found your channel :) ~ Linda
@@srkzfan Thanks, have a nice summer.
Lovely, nice, beautifull garden.
Thanks, sadly the deer just had a party in it and the storm last night flattened a lot of it.

You are welcome, good luck with the mouse grey, it need slow cooling.

I add yellow iron ochre to it.
Seems there is a fair number of potters in Nova Scotia, right? Must be the winter months that people don’t mind running kilns to keep the house warm.
Exactly.
Hi Vaughan I love your videos. I always watch in silence. How do I order from this video
Thanks, You can send screen shots form any of my videos to my email address vsmithpots@eastlink.ca

You cannot use stilts at cone 10.

It is the one called oatmeal lizard, it uses Tin Oxide which is why it is so good.

The slower you cool the kiln the more gold flecks appear.
is that gas kiln manual control or do it have automatic firing schedule it can follow? and ty for the recipes im going to try some of those out. :)
It has a controller but I fire it manually.

Purple with Variagated blue and oatmeal over the purple.
Are any of these pieces up for sale?
Yes all of them, some are boxed up and some are on the shelves.
what is the beautiful red glaze used to do the slip trailing ?
It is cranberry/rasberry in Ron Roys and John hesselberth book Cone 6 Glazes.
I would love to purchase something but do you ship?
Ye we do, I shipped to Israel and Australia last week.
