You always provide tutorials with helpful information while being entertaining......I unequivocally give you the highest marks!!! Your pottery is beyond stellar!!!!
You not only have a talent for expressing yourself thru clay, but also, by the spoken word. You are an easy to understand instructor. Thank you for posting.
I can't imagine getting such nice bowls out of such a small amount of clay. Really really pretty. I was surprised however to see that the insides of your bowls have a flat bottom. Meaning that there is sort of a corner between the sides and bottom of them. I've always learned and strived to throw a really nice curve inside the bowl from the top all the way to the round bottom.
It depends on the bowl style. The wide pasta bowls have a flat bottom, almost a pet bowl shape. The rest have a curve. I don't believe in rules set in concrete that limit creativity. I use a metal rib that automatically gives me a curve profile but I use that to push the clay rather than accept the set curve.
@@Vsmithpots I was mostly commenting on the tall one with the very narrow foot but I agree it’s the choice of the artist. You do beautiful work that you make look effortless, but I know the years of effort and experience that you’ve put in.
Love your videos! They're really educational and relaxing and your skill is undeniable, would love to see a video of mistakes, but I'm wondering if you ever even make mistakes while throwing.
Thank you for another great video. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. I just watched one from one year ago where you stated you weren’t monetized. Why don’t you want to monetize? You are putting great work out there and you can earn a great income from it. Just my two cents 😁
Great video as usual. Im not coming to canada because you have weird gravity. All your bowls hang from the celing. Hard to eat out of them that way.😂 Great tutorial on throwing. Thanks Allen
I love the very small foot Vaughan, it’s very Lucie Rie 😊 You could flare it out more 💚 I’m going to give it a try and I look forward to seeing the texture with the glaze Thank you
I love your work very much, but i would rather see a perfectly smooth interior of the bowl than a spiral. The spiral does not evoke refinement in my opinion & interferes with the attractive smooth pooling effects of glazes.

Thank you.
I had to laugh when you said 'It's not an ugly bowl.' I don't think you can MAKE ugly. All were so beautiful.
I’m in awe at the size of the bowls that you get with 1.5 pounds of clay. Amazing
B-Mix clay makes it easier to get thin walls.
@Vsmithpots we had B Mix in the studio I go to, and that is true. We ran out and have speckled buff as of a few days ago. I haven't used it yet.
are they all really 1.5 pounds of clay??? wow
Yes, it comes with Practice. I will do a live test in my next video. I already have three down loaded so it may take a month.@@PennyRitz

Wow, amazing video! The shapes and the textures are really great! I'm looking forward, when they will be glazed!
The glazed pieces will be shown in a few weeks along with the candle holders after they are glazed.
Well…I just ordered the top three tools that chatter inside and out. Never done chattering on purpose before. Thanks for the discount Vaughn.
I hope you get lots of playtime with them. Thanks.
Lovce all of these bowls! thank you for this
My goodness! Those chattered bowls are so beautiful! Love the new tools!

Love all of the bowls, but the wide footed bowls are my favorite!!! Hard to believe they are out of 1 1/2 pounds of clay.
B-mix 5 allows for thinner pieces, plasticity and strength in a smooth white clay.
I ordered some can hardly wait to try them 🤞🤞

It is rare, I am at that stage of life that is is like my mother who used to watch tele while knitting. Annoying though that is. Thanks.
20:02 I feel like if you put a flared edge rim on that wide one it would make a great pasta bowl ❣️💙🤩
I used one similar for dinner last evening.

I finally caved and did it 4 months ago. UA-cam was putting ads in my videos so I figured out how to do it. Thanks.
@@Vsmithpots I just love your content, I’m a newbie, just 6 months in, and learning so much from you. Thank you 😊
You are welcome.@@JWPotteryWorks

Thanks
Allen
Yes but it is great for the aging process.
😂
Nicely done,
I would like to see the final piece after they are fired. Some very interesting effects and foots.
Great video thank you Vaughan
My bowls buckle at the top when I try to belly them out? ☹️
넘넘!!좋아요
감사합니다. 한국에서 온 사람에게는 큰 의미가 있습니다.

Then I should have carved some long vertical lines down the form, I like her work too.
Hello wondering 11/2 lbs makes a single serving bowl or are these big bowls
How tall and wide was the bowl after throwing?
I will put the dimensions in a video soon. The bats are 9 inches wide.
Thanks. I was trying to gauge the size related to the bats so that helps.

i need to slow down and not be such a bull. i am using way too much clay and i am putting too much pressure on my clay.
