    Hi , a credit to the builders for the price and would make a great weekender , you missed the water catchment for the loo . You can not by a good rib for the price and if they build sail boats , they know what there doing . I wish them every success for the new year .

    A beautiful looking boat. It would be great for the great loop in America. The Great Loop is a system of waterways that encompasses the eastern portion of the United States and part of Canada. It is made up of both natural and man-made waterways, including the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes, the Rideau Canal, and the Mississippi and Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Very nice and I like the idea of big light boats that are efficient. Bit concerned about the spinouts on the buoyancy chambers, that's because they are air chambers which require a spinout, not so if it was pu foam filled, meaning if you hit a rock, you still have floatation.
    There are some great ideas but I think it would make a lot of rattling sounds, ie the cabin door.
    Cool boat though

    Wonder why more manufacturers don't build in ply wood. Oh yeah it's because it has the durability and lifespan of a lettuce.
    Hiding outboard engines is just weird.
    I'd also have concerns over how strongly the cabin roof is attached to the hull and the size of the front windscreen is far to big to survive a wave.

    • @malekodesouza7255
      @malekodesouza7255 2 роки тому +1

      @@cookiemonster2299 water works its way in, usually via intrusions (screws, bolts, mounts etc). Once in, it rots the wood and eventually the structure fails. Repairs can be a huge ordeal, depending on how much rot and where it’s located. Lots of boats in the 70s, 80s, 90s were wooden cored. Some with plywood, marine plywood, balsa…all eventually have issues to some degree. There are ways to mitigate it via properly sealing any/all intrusions but it’s time consuming and expensive. Newer materials can be used for the core, like foam or Coosa, but again, those are costly.

Underwater she is completely sheathed with multiple layers of glass set in epoxy, which is far more waterproof than GRP.
