    Would organic soil and hydra peat mixed together work

      Organic topsoil isn't ideal for microgreens. A lot of disease issues are likely. Using a potting soil is a much better option

    But the chefs want long stems. Blackout, at least for a day on some crops, is totally necessary.

      I've never heard of a chef wanting long stems as that is considered a lower quality product in the industry
