I love single player over online pvp simply because they made the pvp to easy to find people as soon as the snow owls came out never mind people playing with ini files to cheat and see through the world I was over it while cyrus have helped it's still to little too late I hope ark two allows for lone wolf play and not only reward tribes with players who if they spawned in naked would die in minutes despite apparently having ascended 8 times etc!
The dome shield is a full dome and takes less energy to activate, but drains energy constantly. The deployable shield takes more energy to activate, but does not drain energy and does not need energy to move the shield. Both shields show that they can be repaired, but they cannot currently and will not allow you to use the resources to repair them. The resource attractor gives more weight when tamed and makes everything in its inventory weigh 35% less as well as being able to link the stryder to a mining drill. Only one drill can be linked at a time. It does not use energy. The silence rig only disables roars and howls, like the yutie, mammoth, dire wolf, and raptor, for 30 seconds. It does not remove the effects of these roars if they are already active. It takes minimal energy to activate and has a short cool down. The radar does not take any energy to use, highlights all targets in the area for 30 seconds, then is on a 35 second cool down. You can also select creatures from the list on the side to extend the highlight by another 10 seconds for that creature. The pulse cannon can be fired once every 15 seconds for 300 direct damage, and a maximum of 300 explosive damage, with explosive being reduced the further away from the impact the creature is. This uses a lot of energy. The twin cannons fire rapid direct damage shots that use 5 energy and deal 7 damage. None of these damage values can be increased in any way. The excavation rig harvests more thatch than wood and more stone than flint or metal. It harvest fiber and some berries, but the striders stomps harvest berries better. It cannot harvest bodies. It has difficulty targeting things underwater or small bushes. It costs energy to turn on and to collect as well as draining energy while on and searching. The amount collected does not scale with melee.
@@Ballooner melee is still good to level. It makes your stomps more powerful, and makes the stomp gather more berries. Both cannon rigs cannot hit something close to you, so you’ll use you stomps in fights pretty often.
this man has taught me everything i know about ark and i absolutely love him for it, the time he puts in to learning all of these things just to make it easier for everyone else is amazing.
I was so angry about most Ark-yt-channels explain how easy it is to tame the stryder is, when you have the necessary missions. In fact, taming this thing is not the hardest creature in the game. But taming it takes a bit of RNG. nooblet analysed the taming strategy for real and explained in detail, how to deal witch it. Thx for that man!

Perfect way to tame a Stryder. 1. Find a stryder within a level you can tame from mission completion amount. 2. Farm mutagel/gen from astroids, acid pool, or break mutagen at chem bench. 3. Give up because all the laggy servers will make you fail every time.

Can you do a guide for the missions too? Taming this thing is easy, but the missions are insanely difficult, and some seem impossible for solo players. Guides would be amazing!
18:35 You forgot to mention that resource atractor gives weight reduction to resources (think its 65%) .The drill part is mostly a secondary gimmik. Extractor + atractor works so much better then other options its ridiculous
@@nicolasmonteiro7817 it sucks the resource out of mining drill so you can ride a stryder and have your tribemates mining all around it. I don't know what else it does
The bags allow mining drill users to automine into the stryder inventory instead of their own, it also gives weight reduction to all most if not all resources the stryder carries, so despite stryders haveing reletively lackluster carrying capacity, with bags its actually really good.
actually almost true. ive found that stryders dont lose taming effectiveness when damaged. so if they are walking in a circle and the roaming distance wont go down, you can punch it and run away forcing it to chase you away so you can hack it when it de-aggros

Left mouse click is attack so what ever your attack button is stop being lazy and/or dum and you could’ve figured that out yourself instead of blaming the UA-camr

Good to find you did a proper taming research. Tamed my only one 2 days ago, had to watch a video, poorly explained to tame it. Will do my best to complete those missions. Also Nooblets, I have tamed dinos with an Equus on gen2, so cool ando practical.
I had about 2500 hours into Ark before it went gold, but ironically I hadn’t touched it since it went gold. During it’s beta I started out on a clanmate’s server, and when he get tired of playing I took over the server, and at one point actually had 3 servers going, one with Scorched earth, one with the Island and the third with the Center, often I’d be running Primitive Plus on either the island or the Center. But after playing it continually for a year or so I burned out on Ark, and just had to get away from it for awhile. Well I just got back into it a few days ago, and just realized YT unsubbed me from you, even though I was still watching your videos, to try and keep up with changes in the game. I’m playing single player right now, before checking with my clan to see if they would be interested in a server, although if they aren’t I may still bring one online, and just make it available to people from a couple channels I frequent here. It’s amazing how much has changed, and how drastically.
taming process is fucking abysmal with the rng. could be waiting for hrs just to finish. They should have made it the amount of distance it walked instead.
trying to tame low level stryder 3 hrs now and impossible to do that hacking, server is often laggy and even if i saw I clicked exactly when all green dots were in the middle , It fails, and reset tame . Higher I've got him was 90% tame , then reset again coz fail hacking :/
Love the Videos you are my go to guy. With this video style you may want to do some kind of overlay when pausing. You tripped me up a couple of times with the pauses. Thought my video was lagging. Again thank you for the help!!
What's the sweet spot at which you hit the button to stop the boxes? I tried several times when it was either right at the line or right before the line, and the boxes always slide past the line. Try when a little earlier than that, doesn't quite make it to the line.
Its been a while since i was on Gen 2 (have been on Fjordur since) and i remembered that Tek Stryder used to be able to regrow plants and trees that were there once so i wanted to use it to cover my house a little bit. So i went through the trouble of taming one and transfering it to Fjordur resulted in game crash and rollback (luckily didnt loose my survivor this time) but eventually got it there to find out feature was removed silently and since that is gone i have no other use for Tek Stryder so i guess im just gonna kill it and stay on Fjordur. For resource collection im comfortable with my Argy and pickaxe with hatchet. I guess im gonna go find out how to use Re-fertilizer.
The Equipment does Not wear down, a low level strider got a low Level Equipment and a higher one ofc a better one. Level 24 strider only gets a 2400 shild of of possible 10000 and i think a max level strider get a max level shild :)
What I find hard to taming these is having the missions completed. I'm a solo Xbox player on official, if anyone knows tips of being able to finish missions solo please let me know because I bet I'm not the only one out there solo
I can’t wait to tame this on console, literally impossible to do when only 33 missions exist for us for now they ask for like 50 at high level. Especially when the crossplay PC players aren’t on as much
Is there really no way to get the stryder to walk a certain direction? The ones I try to tame just walk in circles and it has one time taken a full half hour for the stryder to walk away from where it was hacked. I eventually resorted to just blocking it with tames until it went where I wanted but it was so keen on going back to where it was that it honestly didn’t save any time and the stryder would just stand there bugging out for minutes.

The shields “remaining” durability is how much damage the shield can absorb. The higher level, the more durability. That’s why it seems damaged

I swear, this entire expansion is tames that are a giant pain in the ass minigame for a tame that has limited usefulness beyond being different.

He's not just a pve guy, i play pvp and i refer to his videos a lot when tryna get specific dinos

2 things, how do you deal with lag on an official server while taming these?(a none answer question). The the saddle bags also reduce weight.

this is very late I doubt you will see this you probably already know but when it gets to 0%dura it will recharge for 30 sec and go back to full dura

Your resource puller Stryder was set to pull from Mining Drills, so it didn't pull from your excavator Stryder

You can also put resources in the transmitter and they weigh nothing but don't exit to menu on single player because it will delete everything

Not sure if it has been mentioned but the tribute slots in the transmitter DO NOT contribute towards Stryder weight. 🤔

Apparently there a bug (surprise, surprise) and consoles (or at least the Playstation) don't have all the missions yet.
