I found this video very interesting, and thank you,I was born in 1944,and married an American 23 years older than myself, he was Infantry first division, second wave on the Normandy beaches,he was in England twice,in North Africa, and Sicily, and across Europe to Czech Republic. So I heard a great deal about WW11,and thank you for teaching your grand children about something that should never be forgotten.😊
Wow what a wonderful reminder of our English history. Thank you both so much. xx
What a fantastic and informative video, thank you so much for sharing. I hope these places survive for another 80 years, our history needs preserving! Happy St Georges Day tomorrow folks! x
Lovely Evie and Harry you can just see the love they have for both of you. Lovely to see 🤗
These men was very brave what they went through we have a lot to be great full for thanks for taking us with very enjoyable
Actually they committed war crimes
@@MayfairCarpenter what in war what are you talking about ❓
@@MayfairCarpenterall those lives lost to give the likes of you and I to live in peace ✌🏾, what the heck are you running your mouth about 🤬if you have nothing positive to write about don’t be hiding behind your keyboard writing nonsense. IT WAS A BLOODY WAR.
Nice try troll. @@MayfairCarpenter
@@MayfairCarpenter I think what you meant to say was, if it wasn't for the brave men & women back then, we wouldn't be here living the lives we do! Thank goodness for all they did for us & our country. There you go, fixed it for you & bet you feel so much better for it now. Especially as you're getting all this attention you so obviously crave. Never Forget
Another brilliant and informative video, thanks guys. My grandfather was an RAF wireless operator in WWII so was nice to see more or less his workspace, incredible.
What a beautiful granddaughter you have she looks so much like her mum
FASCINATING Guys😮
I love all the WW2 information that you pass on every now and again😊
Thank you sooo much Folks❤❤❤❤❤
Went to Metheringham museum last year.
We sat at the controls of the Dakota. The volunteers are so friendly.
Oh Sharon what a brilliant job you are doing with the decorating. The blinds look fantastic. The colours you are using are fab and what a lovely job with the little table. The old airfield was a bit spooky. Take care
Thanks so much 😊
You did a fantastic job updating the table Sharon - it looks great now. You are so talented and have great ideas, well done x
Thanks so much 😊
Decorating looks good, I hate the fact you have to justify things that are a work in progress but people like to have a dig, annoys me, crack on and I'm sure it'll look amazing.
The airbase was so interesting to have a look around, history that should never be forgotten
Thanks Chris
Well done Sharon the table is totally modernised and looks like a different table thanks to Al your hard work 👊💐x Rosey
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!
YHANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOLKS❤
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL DOGGIES
WE ALL LOVE THEM❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for another great vlog, so interesting to see what those brave people did! Another informative vlog. Luv you as always 😊
Glad you enjoyed!
That was Absolutely Amazing thank youse. Sharon table gonna look amazing 👌
Brilliant day out ,thankyou so much, had a lovely time learning more, about where my parents retired to.really appreciate it.
In the early eighties we took a ride to east Midlands airport where they were doing pleasure flights, we thought we would try it as we'd never flown and we had future plans to go to America, guess what the plane was?, an old passenger Dakota,! Believe me it was no pleasure!!!, your video was amazing and brought back those memories of the day for me, brilliant as ever Martin and Sharon, many thanks lots of love💋❤️x
Brilliant video thanks Martin and Sharon love these history places
Just love that you have settled in Lincolnshire my lovely aunt and uncle lived there for many years just outside Skegness ❤❤❤❤
Yes my mum used to,out a bag of rusty nails in the ground by her hydrangea to change the soil acidity. Iron sulphate helps as we.. the airfield was very interesting thank you for sharing with us.
Love the blog, beautiful family, keep the blogs coming. ❤❤❤
Thank you for the airfield tour.....much appreciated! My dad was a bomber pilot with the RAF, & as I am not in the UK I will not ever visit old WWII sites. So again, I appreciate your travel videos. Wonderful of you to take Evie to these places, more grandparents (& parents) should teach youngsters history of this nature, because the schools don't. You & Sharon are wonderful examples of parents & g-parents! Thank you.
Fantastic Martin and Sharon love places like that just starting to catch up as mum has been in hospital and they have put her on end of life care 👍👍👍👍
Sorry to hear that Alan.
I used your po box today to send Gary and Stacie a little something. I slipped up and classed little Franky as a little brother (well he will be like a little one) Anyway one of the things I sent is for him. Sorry I am no good with tech lol - Coming in 2 parts they said - sorry Buzz2Beee2 Fay
Thankyou x
Lovely colours on your table and a great job done Sharon. Very interesting visit to see the aircrafts and your all sitting in the cockpit well worth the money to see .
Great video both. You are working your way through your decorating at a normal pace like normal people . Love all the historical stuff, must be remembered forever. Your pooches are so well behaved. Thank you both.
Hi Sharon and Martin, thank you for putting this review on your channel. As my husband and I are regular visitors to Lincolnshire this air base museum is on our visit list for next week. Will stop off at Woodhall Spa and the Bluebell Inn, Tattershall Thorpe, 2 of our go to places. Glad I found your channel, great fun to watch you both and your reviews.
Our pleasure!
@@butlersempire visited RAF Bressingham today and sat in the Dakota, lovely afternoon visiting the museum, without your channel would never have known about this place
Excellent video as always. Love the Air Base attraction. Such a shame since WW2 the world is still in a mess, if only politicians dine what we pay them to do. I must say Sharon is doing a great job with the furniture painting. The 2 gorgeous boys Dougall and Merlin are overseeing the works 👍👍😁😎
Fantastic vdo Sharon and Martin. Will try visit the airfield center. Very interesting 👍
What a lovely visit to the airfield. My Dad would have loved it if he was still here. He was in the Navy but still saw aircraft, but he was in Korea and saw action. Thank you both lovely people, another great video. xx
Great video on the aviation museum, I'm biased 'cause I love all things aviation. Sharon......it's so good to see how you transformed that table. I have exactly the same style furniture, all made of solid wood but would really like to freshen it up the same way as you have. Keep the deco vids coming....they're really, really good to watch. 🤓👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video lets not forget the past brave people well done
OMG if those planes could talk wow I love when you guys do these little history travels I will never get to see them in person but looking through your videos makes me so happy
Sharon’s the queen of grey. Everything looking good. Aussie Bob ❤
Lovely video , very interesting and loving the old tunes you play , thanks ❤
Many thanks
Very interesting video, loved the trip to the museum. Great they make it so interactive. Was a lovely memory made with Evie as well. The house is looking really good, outside pavers all clean and back room looks modern, light and bright with those blinds and fresh paint. Lovely outlook to the garden. Doggies have their favourite spots on the sofas ❤
Loved Nick and Norman ,places around here need people promoting, I bet they are volunteers ? Looks like Goofy to me 👍 been to East Kirkby but never that site but I will this summer now absolutely brilliant. The cockpit is incredibly manual and industrial.Sharon “ no air friers “ 😂brilliant 👍👍👍👍🍻another great update as always thanks for promoting a local attraction again 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes Rick, they are volunteers and a wealth of knowledge as well.
Wow what a great video guys. Love history like this. Thanks guys ❤
This actually made me surprisingly emotional, what a wonderfully shot edited video, thank you 🙏🏻. 💙
I have lovely hydranges in my Garden. Pink and blue.. i Put White vineger in the soil.. helps Changes the colour. Love your Videos and Family 😊

Great museum! Well done !
A must see..
Me and my hubby have loved watching you , your so funny and I love the poochs, your house is lovely and big , and Sharon your doing a good job it’s really nice colour carry on what your doing, you will get there with all your decorating , it takes Time ❤ we’ve been to wood-hall spar twice on the 1940s, but sad it’s not on this year xx❤❤
My hubby it’s into both ww1 and ww2 you wouldn’t believe what he’s got ❤️
Found it really interesting inside that plane. My dad was a radio operator and had to use Morse code and shorthand. He was only 20yrs old at the time. Didn't talk much about it afterwards though. Pity, I would have liked to have learnt more about it.
My dad too was a radio operator
Thank you so much for this video. It was fascinating. It reminds us how very brave our military were during WW2. 🙏
What a great tour thank you
Our pleasure!
Thankyou for this fascinating vid and for keeping the memories of the brave men who flew the planes x
thanks marttin and Sharon, im an old aircraft and modeller of aircraft, very interesting,
Glad you enjoyed it
Rude to tell you your ceiling needs doing ! I do DIY and my back is bad so it takes longer than when I was younger. Doing my hall and stairs at the moment and my grey walls are looking blue grey !! Not what it looks like on the tin. You are doing a great job Sharon x
Good and interesting video, enjoyed this, thanks for sharing 😊

Your blinds look very nice and I enjoyed the rest of the vlogg
Really enjoyed thanks.
Our pleasure!
Very interesting place that was Thankyou for taking us with you . Loving what Sharon is doing with the table too it’s looking really nice . Love it 🥰❤
That was good. I ALWAYS ASSUMED THAT THE BOMBS WERE FLAT PEBBLE SHAPED, OR JUST ROUND. (SORRY CAP LOCKS) Such very helpful people there and very knowledgeable.
This bomb was a unique shape compared to the others to make it bounce on water. It destroyed a huge dam.and many people died
@@mamnan8953 I remember from the Dam Busters film. Thank you, good to know why. 😁
The first casualty of war is the truth
My Nana ( Grandma) worked where they made the wings for the Lancaster bomber during the war, while Grandad was in Burma
What a great video absolutely loved the museum - beautiful music to accompany the visit too😊
Many thanks!
Can not believe you sanded inside with new blinds up a throw the mats out jimmy wont want them lol
Looks lovely. Could you say a prayer to my mum dee who's not very well.
Sending healing vibes to your mum and the strength to cope bless her ❤
We are sending our love to Dee.

Love the st220 martin....you got a lovely car there.....great colour too
Watch out Retrorestore.. there's a new kid on the block doing amazing restore work 😊🙏
Well done Sharon that table looks great ❤❤👍
Coming up to Lincolnshire tomorrow to see my daughter she lives at Witham at Hughes but suggested the ragged apron but it's closed Mondays 😢
Yes it is shut Nina, that's a shame.
Martin, have you visited the Coleby Grange control tower, just down the road from Metheringham ? Admittedly, It is fenced off and now part of the farmers field but the fence is broken down in a number of places and it is certainly worth a visit. I have visited it on numerous occasions while visiting relatives in Lincoln and each time, i have experienced things that i cannot explain. One instance, my other half and i were walking around inside it and i got a very overpowering sense that we were not alone and then a piece of glass, roughly the size of a thumb nail, landed by my feet. Where the hell did that come from ? There are no windows or glass left in the derelict building. Each time i visit, i end up with a stonking headache too which suddenly goes as quickly as it came.
Never been there.
Very moving vlog. Those brave, brave men 😢
Great video guys
No air fryers that made me laugh ...... Martin have you got the gift😂😂😂😂
Hello you two, looks really interesting there
It was!
Loved the video thankyou .
You’re welcome 😊
Great job with the table 😍
Martin have you ever to DUXFORD ? Look it up
Great vlog guys
Really enjoyed this video
Did 12 years in the RAF. Pretty much every unit I was posted to had at least one ghost or ghost story. There were some areas where the RAF police dogs would either indicate or refuse to go near.
Let’s hope the Government don’t start putting the migrants in that place Martin
My parents were in WW2 and I'm ashamed to say that the little my parents talked about it I wasn't interested. I feel so bad now because I find it interesting
They knew we fought on the wrong side
@@MayfairCarpenter Excuse me ????
Brilliant vlog ❤
Thank you 😊
Crage & Rose eggshell paint is a good one to use as well Sharon, much more hard wearing than Anne slone, rubbish....

One of the best videos you guys have made imo! Thank you xx
Derek Acorah lives on in Martin butler
What a absolute fantastic place definitely be visiting there in the summer. How brave were the people in the plane. Donald duck Mrs B 😂a . Be careful of the wasps with the digger 👎🏻
