Good catch! It missed us all completely! :( Sequeira must have confused the MTGO art on his side, and none of the other players actually noticed this. :/
I'm totally stealing that Naya deck - such a cool mash of effects!! It's awesome to see that ardenn's ability can be used for more than just a simple voltron strat
It performs pretty well, although I need more testers out there because I'm still not fully happy with the top end. The deck requires a lot of meta knowledge and balls on the table with the mulligans. Nonetheless, it rewards you well when the decision making is good and the Godo line is really solid. You can see it in game 1, where I decided to shut down a player earlier than it was probably necessary (fearing Naus) and mistakenly underestimated Najeela by 1 turn, costing me the entire match.
Large fan of Ardenn, hadn't seen the plays he offered targeting your opponents permanents! Are there any wincons in the list that aren't Godo Helm, or is that the crux of the plan?
That's basically the major wincon, although I've overrun the table with tana several times. The +10 +10 hammer for 1 gets the job done once the wincons are staxed out
@@justinburns2490 Arden triggers at the same time helm does, which means that if it doesn't trigger when not equipped, it'll be too late to trigger when Arden has suited them up. THAT SAID, I don't see why Helm of the Host wouldn't trigger when not equipped. Even if it doesn't have an equipped creature to copy, the ability shouldn't require one to be put on the stack since it doesn't target or have an intervening if clause.
Does anybody have an actual ruling on this? I've been trying to find it and have seen both that Helm triggers even if unequipped so using Ardenn to equip will make it work and that it only triggers if equipped. Hope its the first.
Helm of the Host triggers each combat on your turn even if it is not equipped, since it has no "intervening if" clause. Upon resolution if the helm is equipped it will then resolve and create the token, otherwise it will simply leave the stack. Therefore you can order both Beginning of Combat triggers in order to attach it first and resolve it after. Hope this clears @Arcade and @jgmclellan doubts as well.
Maybe it is just WOTC again lacking proper playtesting or even paying attention to the wording on the cards (like michone), and a simple "you control" could make it maybe "more balanced". On the other hand it doesn't seem to be broken. It has an interesting design space where it can be pushed.
Love the content and commentary. May I suggest cleaner thumbnails? Maybe it’s just me but I feel I miss a lot of videos when I’m scrolling through my subs and looking for a video to watch!
If by this you mean not being able to equip with Ardenn trigger you are mistaken. Helm of the Host triggers each combat on your turn even if it is not attached, since it has no "intervening if" clause. Upon resolution if the helm is equipped it will then resolve and create the token, otherwise it will simply leave the stak. Therefore you can order both Beginning of Combat triggers in order to attach it first and resolve it after.
How did you manage to cast Ohran Frostfang on turn 3 of the second match, needing GG and having Plateau/Stomping Ground/Plains?
Good catch! It missed us all completely! :(

@@SplitSecond not a problem, it didn't affect the outcome at all... Love your content by the way! Keep the awesome job :)
Clamping an opponent's mana dork and drawing from it was so mean, I loved it!
Those arden tricks *chef's kiss*
That naya deck is really cool. Awesome interactions
That equip to the elf was amazing
These tricks with ardenn look really awesome. Great video ^^
Great piloting of the Naya deck! :)

The naya deck is awesome, very original!
Beautiful stax deck you got there.
i demand for a Ardenn & Tana Deck Tech
I have a equipment version of tana/ardenn. It's pretty fun.
If this was a live stream the opening chat would be catJAM spam.
Cool seeing Naya at a cEDH table. How has it performed for you compared to some of the more stable/consistent cEDH decks?
It performs pretty well, although I need more testers out there because I'm still not fully happy with the top end.

Skullclamping the dork in game 1 was RUDE! I love it!
Those Arden gimmicks you used turned my brain to shit. I cant wait until I get a chance to use those.
How do you hide the player panes and phase bar on Cockatrice?
It is done in post production :)
That's was fast ..games one all the combat damage gg..now get ready for game 2

U could have let the windfall resolve lol..still waiting for hydras from the hydras deck?..
Why Luis doesnt bounce Najela with the spellbomb?
My Stony Silence is stopping him, unfortunately

@@SplitSecond You are right. I'm sorry for te missleading information. Great combo.
Is it just me or the fact that you can target everyone's stuff not just yours or opponents with Ardenn seem like old school magic templating?

Blech. Just another generic Cedh channel. Too many of those. Dislike it. Good luck on the channel.
