#GarageRock #ProtoPunk #ProtoMetal Top 100 Obscure Rock 60's Garage Punk, Garage Rock, Proto-Punk, Proto-Metal, Heavy Psyche, Early Heavy Rock, Acid Rock
Top 10 obscure 60s rock songs. Excluding Love, 13th Floor Elevators and Can who are all quite well known. 10. Shocking Blue - Send Me a Postcard. 9. Wimple Winch - Save Our Souls 8.The Standells - Rari 7.The Seeds - Evil Hoodoo 6. Blues Magoos - We Ain't Got Nothing Yet. 5.The Moving Sidewalks - Every Night a New Surprise 4. Third Bardo - Five Years Ahead of My Time 3. Clockwork Orange - Your Golden Touch 2. The Shadows of Knight - Hey Joe 1. The Underdogs - Love's Gone Bad
Wouldn't classify Love or 13th floor elevators as obscure. And try getting a decent copy of High Tide's Sea Shanty's for less than $150 at least. But most of that deserves to remain obscure, downright terrible. Most of the bands sounded as if they all used the same vocalist (a term applied very loosely).
What a great collection.
Amazing that "Los Saicos" from Peru are on this list, one of the pioneers of proto-punk
