- Another Jumpstart 2022 box opening!
I continue to be super impressed with Jumpstart 2022. The set hasn’t been out all that long so there will almost assuredly be more price movement on the singles within the set but, thus far, event at the elevated box price of $120 Jumpstart feels like a really solid deal.
A set that almost no one was talking about before release… This is my sleeper set of 2022.

Love Jumpstart 2022! I didn't realize the cat waifu was the most expensive card when I first opened I think my 2nd pack. I'd like to build a deck around her, but I already have a boros equipment deck so maybe. Thanks for the video man! It makes me want to go buy some jumpstart to play with people. Also, congrats on the 800!!!!!!
I’m a big fan of this set. Well engineered, solid reprints, fun waifu art, and only one box type. Balan and the Legendary Rat are currently the two most expensive cards. I want to build around Balan because I don’t have a Voltron deck yet. Thanks for the congrats! 900 and 1000 here we come!

This set is solid, but in several years the one that will blow all others out of the water is Baldur's Gate, in my opinion. Upon release everyone freaked out because it wasn't anything like what anyone was expecting and it's subtle greatness was completely overlooked. It's nice to see people finally starting to take notice that it's much better than what was initially thought. I think it's even much better than the current sentiment, guess we'll see.
A lot of the Baldur’s Gate hate comes from the initially pricing being super high but I am in agreement with you that the set is better than people think. The Set boxes are a disaster but the Draft and Collector boxes are nicely laid out and much more consistent. I could see BG being a set that creeps back up and sneaks up on us over time and I wouldn’t mind it one bit.
I think OG commander legends will hold a bigger pricetag. My local LGS cant keep boxes in stock and i have a few sealed
@@DHGcrimson OG CL is definitely a solid product, I personally ripped a ton. Enough retail to pull 5 Jeweled Lotuses (that I eventually sold). So I do agree, longterm it's a winner, but I think Baldur's Gate is a deeper set and by a fairly wide margin. OG CL is just too top-heavy for me, unless of course we're talking about collector boxes.
My friend and I are planning to pick up a box of this. I used the original Jumpstart to get him back in to Magic. He hadn't played since we were in high school.
That’s very cool! I love just grabbing a couple of packs and jamming them together for a couple of quick games. I genuinely think this set is pretty good. Have fun drafting and playing with it!
Really like the OG Jumpstart and this is also 🔥
Both are super well engineered products and have really solid value. Good selection of playable reprints with a few splashy new cards at an affordable price point.

It's cellobane at this point, but you do a good job at getting them open. Some good hits! My friend has the best box I've seen opened yet, all the hits. He is also selfish and won't share his luck with me. Thanks for sharing!

Dang what a box! 🥩🥩🥩 Makes up for the last one for sure! Crazy that Emiel is down to a buck! I'm starting to think I'm the only person who *doesn't* watch or care about anime, but I think cards are gonna hold pretty decent.
JS22 is really well engineered. A lot of the cards are going to hold up well until they are eventually reprinted. And yeah.. people love their Waifu. 😏
