JS22 does seem to be more inline with the og js, it's going to be tough to get people to realize it's more like the original then the mislabeled theme boosters from the new sets.
First pack I picked up from my shop and it was the urza one. Was in disbelief at the odds😂

I bought a box to split with a friend, we've decided we're actually going to play it and did a couple rounds this afternoon. We had a lot of fun so far, and we've still got 4 games from the box to go. Really hoping to get a Knights pack with Balan, I very much want it for my Galea deck.
OUR LGS in CANADA's jumpstart 2022 pack did not have inner wrapping which is so weird... great pull btw !!
It would be really cool to do a tournament where if you win you get to pick one half of your deck to swap with half your opponents deck and see what kinda deck comes out on top.
I just want a few themes in this set - fangs, rats and obviously, ristic study lol

I love the original jumpstart product a lot. I believe it's a smaller team that works on it, (because it lacks the draw that other releases have), so it likely has a lot more heart than others.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think that Wizards might have changed the formula up a bit as far as pack distribution goes. What I mean by that is with JUMP/START 2020, You got 2 Mythic themes, 8 Rare themes, and 14 Common themes. With this box, it looks like you got 2 Mythics, (not to mention duplicates) 6 Rare themes, and 16 Common themes. Yeah...kinda looks like Wizards is trying to pull a "Sleight of Hand" with us, thinking we wouldn't notice but alas, numbers don't lie. I would've also had a box of JUMP/START 2022 to open today, but it turns out it didn't arrive today. I'm hoping that my box has a Knights pack in it though. I seriously want that Balan for my Commander deck!

I think the pack theme collation is intended to be at least somewhat as random as the normal box rarity collation (ie, the numbers will vary, but never be zero).
Also, theme rarity does not appear to be directly linked to value/good cards (in the same way that some mythic rarity cards miss that mark). So I would still call it a win. 🙂

I really want to get ahold of that Rat commander in this set and there are more reprints Im not even totally cognizant of yet that Im certain are nibbling away at the value of my carefully curated Commander collection so Id say this set is a pretty good one. Im glad they did away with the inner wrapping but still no foils huh? That kinda sucks. WAIT WHAT?? I watched MTGNorth open some earlier and there WERE NO inner wrappings!! Im noticing that is not the case with yours. Whats the deal with that I wonder?

I bought two packs today and no inner wrappings in either…thankfully. Strange they were in yours. Pulled Insects and Inventive. Looking forward to more. Great video as always!!

This box was printed in the US.
So if i buy a box, i get random theme packs, or will i get one of every theme or what, i couldnt find this online, or is it so that i might not get a single knight pack and get seven snow packs instead?
Random. There are 40 themes, so you can't get them all in one box. Seems like you'll get some duplication, though there is even some variance within themes.

Why are your packs wrapped with the additional clear plastic? I didn't have those on mine. Manufactured in a different country? This set is awesome and the Wizards site is saying these work well with the Brother's War and Dominaria United Jumpstarts. So anyone that bought those, hopefully they have great synergy.
You got Rhystic Study, I got a Jace Planeswalker. You got the same number of duplicate themes as I did too. The rares in them were different so that's good.
These were made in the US🤷♂️
@@MTGUnpacked I just checked mine. It says “Made in Belgium”. So no extra wrapping on those I guess.

Why are your packs sealed twice but mine and other youtubers packs are just straight with the cards in them, no transparent packaging?
Different factory in the US, perhaps? I've seen others with boxes from Japan and Belgium that don't do this.
