Titan towing is shady and I'm raising awareness! They "serve" the Las Vegas area and prey on residents through HOA's. I was towed while unloading groceries from in front of my home. The original full video is posted on TikTok.

I live in an HOA in Las Vegas as well and there is a HUGE problem with the corruption between the HOA and tow companies.
It's a 20% kickback annually so if they tow20 thousand dollars worth of cars they get a free check for $4,000 at the end of the fiscal year 😮😮
It’s not just HOA spots. Regular apartments do the same thing. Tow trucks will sit in the back of the complex with the lights off watch & wait for you to get out of your car so they can take it. They’ll let you see them towing it though because they want you to give them cash to drop it

Each of my trucks has a pistol and a rifle in them 24/7. But you’d have to work hard to even get to the property they are parked on.

Depends on the valid HOA rules. If its contracted as or, at least, the valid HOA rules limit it to a call only service they are in violation of the contract and/or HOA rules. A contract that violates the valid rules is a good sign of a board member being in cahoots with them. However, a contract violation is a different story and can cause them to lose the contract with the HOA. The HOA would have to be given some kind of notice in the contract violation condition in order to start taking remedial steps. Keep in mind I said valid HOA rules because sometimes HOAs don't follow the proper procedures to get new rules in place making the new rule illegal to enforce by law.

Wtf is it for, than? Perhaps some1 IN the H.O.A. leadership was involved. That footage belongs to you. You are a member. He's supposed to be there to protect your interests. You COULD get a subpoena. But it's pretty sad that you have to do that.

My car got towed as well by Titan towing. I brought my purchase agreement to pick up my car as it was just bought and not registered yet and they refused to release it to me without registration. I couldn’t afford to get my car out 2 weeks later while I waited for my EDRS so I contacted metro. once they came in the building with me, titan towing acted like they could’ve released it the first time with the purchase agreement. We are debating going to court now over the 2 days extra I had to pay since they wouldn’t release it the first time. There’s a reason they hide behind bullet proof glass.
Ohhhhhhh very much a reason. But that's cool because outside the door on the way to their car ain't. Even though most are escorted to and from their cars at businesses like that, just know that there is a gap.

I know those condos and I agree. tow truck company just cherry picks those cars....my brother in law pulled up in front of my moms house for Xmas and started unloading stuff and when he came back out they had already towed it. The HOA is in cohoots with the tow truck company as they get a kickback. I seen them looking in cars with a flashlight and ask what they were doing casing cars. they said they were lookin for parking stickers and i called BS and parked my truck right in front of two cars so he couldn't tow them.
Exactly! I’ve been here since 2013 with no issues but they’ve always cased the community. It’s gotten progressively worse when the new HOA took over last year. They’ve been in here sniping cars left and right. They took an elderly couples car who were unloading and the neighbors were pissed. I’m moving to Henderson Friday so I’m officially done with this.

Yessir! I wish more people would’ve looked at their reviews instead of jumping to conclusions lol. They have horrible ratings across the board on Google, Yelp, and The BBB. There was also a class action started a couple of years ago against the company.

My husband passed away in his truck on his way home from work last year. Ewing Brothers charged me $300.00 to get the truck out of their lot!!! His cell phone was missing and I never got it back. Sad to say, my husband worked for Ewing Brothers years prior to his death. They didn't cut me any slack.
The only time a tow truck should touch a vehicle that is not theirs is a accident a impound, a private property tow that has been properly marked an abandoned vehicle left in the roadway or along a interstate or at the request of the owner or the owners insurance provider, which is usually set up by the owner parked in front of your garage, is not somewhere that you should be grabbing someone’s vehicle unless they have proof that the car is being repossessed by the bank

Yes they are shady! Someone needs to make a Federal criminal complaint against them because they are essentially stealing peoples cars. My daughters car was stolen by them and when she called them about the illegal tow they said she had to pay thousands for storage. The Feds will get them soon!

Hoas are a scam
From my experience, 95% of tow companies are shady. I had got into a car accident in front of my house. My car was totaled. And without the police or tow company telling me anything, they towed my car to their yard (I thought it was for insurance/evidence purposes). Come to find out, I was charged storage fees for them towing my car which I didn’t even want them to do in the first place! I found out I could have just left my car in front of my house or the driveway. So I ended up having to PAY them to KEEP my car or else a lien would have been put on my credit and fuck up my credit history. That shit was $700 and it still pisses me off to this day. Fuck em.
And also, I have dealt with this other tow truck company that worked for a gated community I lived in that would literally tow peoples cars from 12 AM-5 AM just for parking on the street! HOA and tow truck companies are just greedy bastards that will do anything and screw over anybody for money. They have no morals at all!

You’re right my brother. I looked up the company. They are absolutely HORRIBLE. I live in Georgia (USA). Nowhere near Nevada. They need to be shut DOWN for GOOD! I would do absolutely anything to dograil this company out of business. Plus HOAs need to stop this madness, step up, and do the right thing. When I get a place of my own, The HOAs are out of the picture for ME.
Titan towing used to prowl the shit out of my place. Picked my girlfriends car up with a guest pass because the driver decided he'd seen it too much and that they lived there. Seen them snatch up work trucks from people on property working too.

I wouldn't want to live in 1 and when I bought my house, I was 100% against it.
Now 16 years later, I kinda wish there were some neighborhood rules. Some houses look way worse than when I bought mine and the yards are in really piss poor shape. Half of the sidewalk is now gone from overgrowth.
I'm paralyzed and after 24 years of being paralyzed I have to pay someone to do mine. For roughly the first 16 or so, I used to edge with my weed eater both of my neighbors sidewalks, but my back won't let me anymore. Throbbing pain and so much pain Hydrocodone don't touch it when it's digging in.
I used to live nearly exactly as hoa, yet at the time I never heard of an hoa, but let me make this clear. They live a very strict "lifestyle" and everything, and I mean, everything has to be pristine condition, everything done neatly, in timely fashion, and accordingly. I know because I used to live this way without hoa. And yes, as everyone been saying, yes it is essentially a MINI-COMMUNIST "community", even I would never want to be anywhere near them!

Our family friend is an attorney and whenever we have had a car towed, we call him and he makes a phone call and we go to the lot and don't pay a dime. I live in Las Vegas as well so I know how much they charge and how shady they are. I'm not sure what our attorney friend does but he does something and it's pretty cool.

I know exactly what you are saying. About 2 years ago they grabbed the car I was driving. It was a Sunday morning, I borrowed a friend's car to go shopping...I didn't have a car and I live on North Nellis where there are no grocery stores anywhere. I backed in, took my groceries in, came back in a few minutes, car was gone. I was shocked. A neighbor told me that Titan took it. Here's the sad thing, I'm living where people have nothing, many of us are seniors and are living on an extremely tight budget. I am also profoundly deaf. So I couldn't hear them hook up. Thank GOD my friend could afford to go directly to Titan and get his car. This cost him $350. He was there within an hour. I'm sure it's more expensive today. It took me 2 years to pay him back. I have seen them park around the corner then hit our apartments and quickly steal these cars. I have followed them around this place because I want to alert the owners before these creatures get away. Can't stand them. They are ruthless bastards.
I’m sorry you had to deal with this! There was an elderly couple who parked in front of their home recently to unload and had their car towed. The entire community was furious but it’s nothing we can do. I just recently moved thank God. They charged me $360 and I actually beat the tow truck to the location before they arrived with my car.
So grateful I live in a state that's seriously restricts adverse towing, so many of these companies are full of crooks that should be locked up, and cops/hoa's/etc are all in on the grift

Apparently you need to have garage door open and hazards on if your “loading and unloading” then they won’t tow. Its the developments. They hire private tow companies to remove any cars illegally parked. Some developments encourage their tow drivers to essentially camp out and watch for people to walk away. In NJ where I dispatch for there is a development that does this. On top of that because it's private property there is nothing the police can do about it. Yesterday on Christmas a woman left her car illegally parked behind her parents cars so she could run up the baby in the car seat and come back down and move the car. By the time she made it down the car was gone. There are other neighborhoods in town that use private tow companies like this and don't have this issue. If this is happening it is because the property owner asked the tow company to make this happen.
First rule, NEVER buy a house where theres an “HOA”. The way I look at it, it’s my house, I should be able to do as I please with my house.

The HOA is working with the towing company. This happened to me in Chicago back in 2006.
theres a scandalous Towing agency in Whittier, ca. the Hadley Tow. they'd work to take your car, try to hold it for days, go through the car, take stuff, and over charge. they did this to so many people. they so shady. they do this to people that are struggling.

Its not just them. All towing companies are predatory. And they know it all too well. When its around the holidays & friends & family come visit & park in areas they're technically not supposed to they get hooked real quick. Keep an eye out around the holidays. You'll see them lurking & creeping in certain apartment complexes & neighborhoods. Theres a special place in hell for these tow truck drivers.

Im not sure if you know this, but you cant file a lawsuit for someone towing your car legally while its illegally parked. Thats like suing McDonald's for making you a bigmac
100% agree. They did the exact same thing to my Nissan titan, and after the third time of it getting towed, I lost it due to accumulated fees. Then they started doing the same thing with my replacement vehicle as well. They’re one of the shittiest tow companies in Las Vegas and all the drivers are also carrying pistols so it’s a little hard to confront them.
That’s easy enough wait for them to reach and be ready to respond

OR.. They are part of the towing and had it done!! HOA probably told the tow trucks when people park out front or whatever so it's literally thee only answers it could be and nothing else! Foreal! Simple as that!! How knew damn well Titan Towing was showing up and had dumn' to do wit it either way. And as far as the cameras they just lazy af plus they were part of it so!! 😅
i do that type of towing bro and if you put your hazards on they can’t touch it and the hoa is the one who has to authorize it before they tow it so if they didn’t get a signature u can sue them for predatory towing
Not all states do that Ohio is all patrol no signatures or being call just go off what the contract says florida has signatures but most hoa have rules about parking in the street or hanging out in the street you can clearly see he's over the red line he messed up got hooked and trying to play victim I take cars parked like his every night out or hoa
Thank you for that information. Many, many years ago I was a dispatcher for AAA, kw3602....I think. We worked with a few tow truck companies. I have had Titan tow a car that I was borrowing. I don't live in an HOA but my apartments use this company. They piss the hell out of me. I do everything I can to let them know how I feel, once they pull into my apartments. I don't speak to them but I do follow them until they leave. I'm 70 now but I still can manage a resting bitch face. Again, thank you for this information.

You wouldn't have to worry about that shady tow company if you didn't also have a garbage HOA that, based on what you said, doesn't seem to care about the residents of the community. After all, thats who the tow truck company has contracted with and is why they were around to tow your vehicle. Thats why when I was looking for a house I told my agent to not even show me any homes with an HOA. I have yet to hear of one that wasn't just a power hungry group of nosey people who will complain if your lawn is 1/4" too long or you decided to paint your garage door one shade beyond the pre-approved range of beige they allow according to the HOA handbook.

Had a 5 bedroom house in FL super upscale community worst years of my life got into a legal battle because they tried to fine me by the day for a flag staff, then towed my mothers car , and more crap. Ended up countering and winning. Never again

One time in SF I ran out of a building to see my truck being pulled into the tow truck, I ran up to the guy and offered him 100 bucks and I think he said he wanted 200 and thank god I had it on me but I can't remember it being more than 200. He dropped it off the truck and took off. Saved me a lot of time and money! Always offer them money if you see them towing your automobile! Usually the driver will take it.
