Tal's startled "What?!" has me wondering who he thought Matt was bringing out before the announcement. It clearly wasn't Sam. Laura seems to have realized because it startled the hell out of her, looks like, even before Matt says it.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but everything I've seen about Aeor tells me they essentially sold their souls for the power and technology they have. I've played all of the Dooms, it's pretty clear, trying to tap into Demonic energy does not lead to a good path.
Live shows never disappoint, this is no different I still don't vibe with that 'pact', Fearne clearly had no idea that was what it was. I know it was a joke on Dorian's part but I would not say no to Bells Hells doing an Ace Attorney-esque episode to loophole Fearne's soul free, I maintain that no terms were laid out, ofc legality will work differently in fantasy but lack of understanding and contract would be a dream for any lawyer. Also per last ep, shipper's bias is definitely at play for me, Tal - being both Percy energy knowing about demon pacts as well as Ashton energy - with the micro and not so micro expressions, regardless of your biases we know Ashton wouldn't like the idea of anyone having parts of themselves warped by another, or being used as an unwilling tool for another's gain. But also typical that Klask gets the HDYWTDT after voicing my distrust of him. Cometh the Sam though, out of the closet during pride and flirting with everyone XD Of my three options I was right on one: Betrayer God Paladin. Surprised he went for Asmodeus given Klask but makes sense since he's the opposite of the Changebringer. Braius seems fun though, flirty for sure, quite the fanboy, don't get the same vibe of malice I get from Klask, helps that he's hilarious. Fans on tumblr already deciphered some of his backstory from the back of Sam's character sheet (which I won't divulge just in case) but he is certainly interesting, it paints a picture is all I'll say. Mechanically Bless and swapping saves to CHA is gonna come in clutch a lot, Bard solidarity already proving that - oh and the double knockback - and this is Sam we're talking about he's gonna have an arc. Also interesting to introduce rankings among champions, Herald Champions eh? Wonder if this is how Braius will be allowed to stay with the Hells when Klask gets summoned back to Asmodeus. As for Dominox, creepier as the little girl ngl. A millennium sealed definitely didn't make it social, thankfully for the Hells at least. Went too hard on Chetney, too vague with Dorian, too obvious with Imogen, but Ashton? Oh they fucked up with Ashton, knew Matt would use FCG on them but man we're not talking enough about how Ashton didn't take the bait; accused of letting him die, wanting him to die, and wanting to commit suicide was a lot, and I think had Ashton not resolved themselves to be better after the shard that confrontation would've gone differently, but instead they stood their ground, the one who said 'we're fucked' and 'I for one welcome our new demon overlord' last ep stuck it to a Grand Demon of Loathing and got them backpedalling, and was still pragmatic enough to consider releasing her against Ludinus, that's a lot of growth shown. The Pinion could be a hidden clutch item too, if it can bind a Grand Demon, what's to say it can't bind Predathos? It's good to keep a hold of it for now, a powerful bargaining chip. Proud of Laudna too, counterspelling Dominox AND Ludinus (again) AND haunting him with a perma Treshi Scry Ring spell? Girl you do NOT need Delilah look at what you've done by yourself! But speaking of our fucked up fey absorbing war profiting land corrupting god hating mage, very curious stuff. Without hindsight it was weird that they'd hear him out, I mean their mission is to stop him in Aeor right now. Still, people are worried he'll win the Hells over, I'm not so worried; Ludinus keeps thinking the Hells are misguided and acting on the benefit of the gods (who he thinks are threatened by him when we with context know that's not true), not the people he's hurt, the malice and destruction he has wrought, he has no concept of friendship - only Otohan never showed signs of turning on him - so he cannot understand that they're looking out for their own people. Also Aeor were planning on nuking a city before the Calamity bud, they were making weapons of war way before the Gods waged it. But yeah, I can understand the divisiveness about Downfall; I'm all for another EXU Calamity about Aeor, it is clear that this is something important to the plot too, else it would exist separately as a spin off. But yeah I also get that we just got Sam back just to lose him again, that ep. 100 should've been something for Bells Hells rather than a flashback, and that we will all miss the Hells dearly for the month and a bit without them, but we will let them cook, and hopefully the weeks will fly by and we can send Ludinus into the ground for good sooner rather than later.

No, they new. They were just really happy to see him Sam is recovering from a battle with tonsil cancer so it must've been really awesome to see their friend come back to the table well and healthy
When Brennan DM'd for EXU: Calamity, he started it with "Fire." Then when Mercer was DMing at Dimension 20 he started it with "Water." Aabria followed that up with "Air" I think? It's become a running gag for "first thing DM says for new campaign"
Question is that a curl on Liam’s head, a makeup “bruise” or a a real injury? Legit question as he has said he is clumsy. Another reason I adore him. He’s my people.
Sams return is SO much more grand after his message video just dropped! NOW the fact they were healing Braius neck ; ;
Exactly what I though!
his video and the 4-side die talk bring a lot of new context.
Travis Wiilingham reminds me of the guy out of the Lemony Snicket movie. Lol

If I had a nickel for every time matt has killed his own demon boss, I'd have two nickels. Which is not a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I love that this one happened at a live show. Lol
Brennan in the DM’s chair… Time to go back to the Age of Arcanum and Calamity.
Also… “Light”
Now we need “Air” and “Darkness”
Queen Mab?
This was cool at the time. Now it will go down as one of CR’s most important moment
Poor Liam, he has to watch his in-game boyfriend flirt with his real-life boyfriend :-)

You are doing so well picking of Marisha Ray Gun's mantle. I love these clips ❤
man paladins of Asmodeus are fucking legit.
We need a fun/scary scale like Barney's "Hot/Crazy Scale" from HIMYM 😂
Rewatching since sam video laura saying oh no im gonna cry makes sence now.
I have a feeling that Sam's new character has a special feat that gives him extra proficiency when he lies. Is there such a feat in D&D?
skill expert: deception
Braius was listed as Paladin/Bard multiclass, so if he's high enough level in Bard (Bard 3), he could've gotten expertise without the feat
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
