Thank you so much guys, but seriously drum-tec is a great company, that puts lots of effort & know-how into their products, and it's a breeze to work with them. I enjoy my diabolo/pro series kits at the studio a lot & use them almost every day. They have also been super supportive with my other projects, like going on tour with a pro series kit last summer f.e. Really outstanding & unique company :)
Thanks for this. No instructions in the box makes a newby like me a little overwhelmed, and the other videos just show sound samples and talk about quality. Actually seeing it set up makes it a tad easier to chew.
Hey Josiah, you should be able to find the Gewa G3 manual online by googling "Gewa G3 manual" actually. Otherwise, please get in touch with Gewa support through their website. Kind regards!
Hello! Great video🎉 I have some questions if possible: 1-Can all the cymbals be choked? 2-Is it compatible with a second kick pedal? How do you connect it? 3-Does it allow connecting other cymbals/toms? If yes, how many? 4-Are there tutorials on how to connect stuff? I can’t find any😅😅 I’m never great with electronics😂 Thank you and great playing!!!!
@@GEWADigitalDrums I totally respect the regular updates to your systems, that shows commitment so kudos to you. I also respect that whether you get the full flagship G9 or the more meat and potatoes kit shown here, the sound quality is for the end user is the same.
Gewa. When U want bad triggering, hot-spot issues and a super-slow and clunky module. And apparently still no rimshot....(!) Take it from me: This is the worst deal you can do when it come to mid-tier e-drums. A td 17 will completely crush these when it comes to feel and triggering. Infact: Anything will crush these when it comes to triggering/hotspot-issues. But the drumming is cool as usual, Ralf:) Its just that the Gewas are the worst e-drums I`ve ever tested, and I`ve tested most of the brands on market today:)
@@rez6541 Have U tried any other brand? The triggering and responsiveness on Gewas are just horrible compared to for example Roland. And much, much cheaper Rolands too!
@@soulslaveone-Yes I have a roland td27 and it's great but I enjoy my gewa g5 very much. I haven't had any of those problems at all it's played well for me. I know the initial roll-out of the g9 module had its hiccups so that's why I was asking which version you used.
On G9, constantly playing the ride saturates it. This video shows the issue. This is an already replaced ride and said by support to need a software solution. But I never see this happen on demos or showcases. Does this reproduce on the G3 too? ua-cam.com/video/vCEz90Gxvh0/v-deo.html
I have had similar problems with my G9, the latest update seems to reset it eventually. That’s the only improvement from the update in my experience. I am hoping the next update fixes it.
@@lesjayco7785 thanks so much for sharing your experience. I directly asked if this was a general issue or just about my unit and they where opaque about it. Mine was fine to begin with but after adding a cymbal and customising my set up fast ride cymbal triggering would mute the sound of the sample. The update helped but did not fix
No matter what kit you play, you always sound good! Definitely one of the best drummer/reviewer in youtube.
Thank you so much Sean! :)
Thank you for the great review Ralf and Drum-Tec!
Thank you guys, great to see you around!
If it weren’t for Ralph, Drumtec would be nonexistent. He could sell paint buckets.
So True , Ralf is an awesome drummer! I have to lock up m
I have to hide my credit cards whenever watch Ralf's vids and also Nick D'Virgilio from Sweetwater. Two awesome drummers
drum tec needs a disclaimer: "purchasing these products will NOT make you play like ralf!"

Nicely bringing the drum set too life Ralf nice job!🤗👋
Thanks Aaron!
Great module bank sound!
Sounds like Gewa has the best handle of machine-gunning for drum pads. Does anyone know if you can use this module with other pads brands?
Yes all GEWA Modules are compatible with other brands pads. We even have a decent amount of presets for third party manufactures in the modules.

Been looking at this kit but wish it had an extra crash (in addition to the standard ride and crash)!
You can go with the GEWA G5 Studio Kit - that goes with an additional Tom and Crash
@@GEWADigitalDrums I see, thanks for the response GEWA. Big fans of what you’re doing!

top class my friend !!
Thank you very much Bruce!
Fantastic as always Ralf. One Question ? :- How may "Wristwatches" do you own ? 🤣
Haha, enough for lots of videos! ;-D love how you spot the little watch details, kind regards!
Would you recommend this drum kit or the Roland TD-17kvx?
I dont feel like the laid back kit was that laid back lol. Good skills bro
Haha, thank you James! I completely agree, the kit name didn't make me "feel" very laid back, on the contrary! 😆
@@drumtecTV wouldn't have it any other way lol
Did Gewa fix the hotspot on the cymbals by now?
Amazing chops as always btw!
That's what I have been wondering throughout all these new modules.
