The ad revisits the beloved 1989 film’s characters at the legendary New York City deli, where Harry quips, “I can’t believe they let us back in this place.”
Set at Katz’s Deli-the site of the infamous fake orgasm scene-a 20-second teaser introduces a waitress reading off a hilariously specific order, unmistakably Sally Albright’s doing.
As the duo dig into their sandwiches, Sally finds hers lacking. The fix? A generous squeeze of Hellmann’s mayonnaise onto her rye bread. Her reaction? A passionate reenactment of her famous scene. “This one’s real,” Billy jokes. Actress Sydney Sweeney makes a surprise cameo, delivering the classic line: “I’ll have what she’s having.”
Reflecting on the scene’s lasting impact, Crystal notes, “At the time, no one had really talked about that,” recalling how the moment stemmed from a script meeting about the “concept of women faking orgasms.” He adds, “I think it just took everyone’s breath away.”
