As a 16 year old in 1971, I was assigned to drive one of these and cut the 180 acres of barley and oats on our farm. Great German engineering and could produce far cleaner grain than the Clayson / New Holland's of the day. That powerful Perkins A6.254 6 cylinder engine. Only downside was as our farm was in Scottish Borders and harvest extended to late September and it was so cold at night ! Also with no cab and so much dust, ended up with chest infection! Happy memories none the less.
Certainly does! Its not out yet apart from a small section of the Top Of The Claas DVD where the Matador giant stars. Hopefully the full story will be told in the near future
Jeeez that’s a blast from the past, used to have a Matador back in the 70s, great vid 👍🏽

C reg, 1965. Good Combine Harvesters and that was far more interesting than whatcing a video of a modern Combine doing the same job..
Most definitely
Runs like a sowing machine and sounds awesome, great video again thanks.
Cheers
Nice old combine and tractors, really great
Remember it well proper farming no computers just skill and hard work 👍
Too right!
What a tidy old combine.
Those old Matadors couldn't half shift in their day! We ran 2, 8' 6" Standards. They would leave a Massey 788 standing😏
What a sweet running well kept combine do you know if it is still going? Great video as always
No it has not worked for a few years now as the tenant farmer has retired - he still has it though!
@@tractorbarnproductions2009 do you know if it is likely to come up for sale, for preservation..
@@The212boy It has not been used for a few years now but I think it will be kept for sometime by its current owner
