'RUMP doesn't need or care about president, normal practice, or the law.
At 13:29, the joke about Louise Haigh, who was the transport minister, seemed to have gone over everyone's heads. Mel read: "Having thrown Louise Haigh under a bus, how did Keir Starmer....".
At the 7:00 minute mark, it's a shame they just laugh at the guy throwing up, it's actually because we sold heaps of land to cotton farmers from a certain country..... The run off has sped up the death of a river.
I usually agree with Ian, but he is completely wrong about this. The problem IS that kind of double standard expectation between the parties. You can't have one side allowed to ignore any laws or conventions, and the other expected to be saintly beyond belief.
I think that him pardoning his son is technically not the right thing, because while the Republicans absolutely blew things out of proportion to try to get to Joe Biden (who famously already lost one son in 2015 so y'know... a bit sensitive), Hunter does certainly seem to be guilty of a lot of shit. On the *other* hand I would absolutely have done the same thing. Trump has quite literally sworn vengeance against anyone who ever wronged him, the US Supreme Court has opened up for giving him king-like powers, and he's intentionally tried to appoint people to positions such as Attorney General or head of the FBI who are more than willing to pursue such an agenda with more fervor than Trump himself would. Yeah I'd get my son out of there as well. The American people voted for someone famous for their corruption and nepotism. They cheer when Trump pardons his equally-as-obviously guilty rich friends (in-laws of his children, for instance) If anything Biden is just listening to the will of the people who essentially voted to reject the rule of law and instead allow the whims of the president to set the agenda. So y'know... I don't blame Biden in the slightest for pardoning his son. I *do* blame him and the democrats for going so hard on the whole "Biden will never pardon his son and that's why he's so great" when this situation was hardly unforeseen. Really setting themselves up to fail. Again. They keep hurting themselves over and over as they double and triple down on things like "Biden isn't old at all!" or "Biden won't pardon his son even if Mr. Hitler-Did-Some-Good-Things" who famously wants to use the armed forces to go after his political opponents!" and then having to backpedal when *of course* reality turns out difference. Why repeatedly hurt their credibility more than they actually need to? I wouldn't shed any tears for Hunter, but let an old man have his son around for the potentially last few years of his life. Why hold him to a higher standard when the electorate firmly *rejected* such behavior? If I was Biden I'd take a shit under the desk on my way out as well.

@@Elwaves2925 TBH, he probably also did the moral thing. How many times are they going to have a blind guest on and still have most the questions require the power of sight?! I swear HIGNFY held a sports day, they'd have people in wheelchairs compete in the 100m hurdles.

that's what they count on, idiotic loyalty
I feel sorry for Jeremy too.
They really flogged that "pardon?" joke.
Was that not the joke?
I'm not sure how I feel about the pardoning. It's complicated. I do think Ian doesn't completely understand American politics..but who does?
I get it and Biden probably did the correct thing from his personal point of view. However, he did lose out politically and morally by doing it. Of course, he's also out in a few weeks so he likely isn't too bothered about the latter part.
@@Elwaves2925 TBH, he probably also did the moral thing. Hunter doesn't deserve to be dragged through the courts endlessly, constantly in the public eye with the President screaming for him to get the death penalty. Sure Hunter Biden has done some things that are wrong, and he has suffered for it, but he doesn't deserve to be hounded endlessly for it which is exactly what will happen under Trump-Tyranny.
@@Elwaves2925 That's pretty much how I feel.
merry kiersmas everyone
It might be British but the similarities in Australia are quite applicable. And the definition of innuendo is: an Italian suppository. 🤣🤣🤣👏👏🇦🇺
12:31 They missed a joke on "assisted dying" and that woman's hair colour.
@2:39 there is already a 2:0 score despite show only just started. are you faking it?
Paul had to mention Clive Myrie despite the D notice.
19:12 - Doing his Michael Gove imitation.
Simply superb!!!! Thanks so much please keep them coming 😃
Oh Mel! My favourite. I love her to bits. ❤
Is it a dolphin in a bathtub?
How many times are they going to have a blind guest on and still have most the questions require the power of sight?! I swear HIGNFY held a sports day, they'd have people in wheelchairs compete in the 100m hurdles.
Maybe a deaf and mute next week......
If they provide for the blind then they'll have to provide for the pedo's they have on.
That’s fairly discriminatory. Just because someone is blind they shouldn’t be excluded from something they know and understand. Blind people aren’t stupid you know. Hell they were pretty funny in this!
@Iain16 I could be wrong, but I think what they might have meant is they should have less visual questions to allow the visually impaired to be more involved
@@Iain16 So patronizing... Speaking and being outraged on behalf of the disabled isn't the great inclusion they think it is.
Mel freaks me out. Are her eyes completely black or was it the lighting
Who is that antique looking dude next to the "chimney sweep"? Are those 2 actors or something?
Production of "Oliver" the musical i think, so those are Fagin and Oliver actors
@@antivanov82 thanks!
How was the score 2-0 BEFORE a question had been asked?
How official is this channel??
Starmer is one of those people who don't really understand humour, but think as long as they persist with trying, eventually a fully-formed joke might fall out of their mouths, because they've seen it happen with other (ie. funny) people.
To be fair, you don't need zingers from a PM. You do need competent government though ... and it's a bit sad when the only success measure you can point to is "still better than the last shower."
Ta from Spain.
Over to the Scuderia.
commenting from 2135... things have changed a bit, but was that REALLY a US President exploding out of a turkey with bad face swaps of his political rivals of the time?? To quote an actress I recently found out about - "Weird, weird!"
It's from the film 'Christmas Vacation'. The turkey ruins Christmas in a house in the US and the head of the house goes mental. A precursor for next year?
One of the unfunniest episodes I've seen in a very long time I'm sorry too say
Really? Each to their own but this was hilarious.
19:19 The fast food ban doesn't include Gregg's.
Good but but to many bad jokes at the PM when the Conservatives how much more ruthless and cruel. In the 15 years of Power.
Pardon?
Surprised they let Sara Jay host
I love Mel
That's a lovely Christmas decoration. I bet kids love it.
Thanks for posting - thoughts to all waiting out the storm.
Oh my god my celebrations calendar started with 3 bounties too!
I think the first 10 mins was written by Robbie Gibb, not very funny and quite cringy. Do better please.
No crumpets?
It may just be me, but i have noticed that a lot of opportunity for satirical political comedy seems to be missing in the recent series of HIGNYFY! Is somebody putting the “arm” on the producers/writers? Very worrying!!!!
Not just that but the biggest news story of then year is missing. Weekly.
OMG BBC you were really scraping the bottom of the barrel there !
