Infected Mushroom put this song into my mind, but I never could've known that the OG is as good!
Fauda!
I don't understand a single word from here but this bops
My heart is laughing when you arrive, my world is crying when you leave.
(Qalbi yidhak min alqak, dunyaya tibki bifar qak)
Have mercy on me and do not leave me.
(Arhamni wala tahajarni)
Let me be always with you.
(Khalini daiman waiyak)
Do not leave me and go, I will not be able to shout for you to come.
(La tghib ani utruh, ma bi ya asih ana)
With you let me always be, rest and I will rest.
(Waiyak khalini dum, tirtah wa'ana artah)
My heart will rejoice if you will come, you will be cheered in my house.
(Qalbi yifrah lo marit, yehalhelu shifak halbeit)
Have mercy on me and do not leave me.
(Arhamni wala tahajarni)

My God these guys give any American outfit a serious game to chase. The more I listen to the hip hop for example of Asian or Middle Eastern artists steeped in identity and cultural struggles the more they summon the gravitas of a radical idiomatic artform! If they played this to close the evening in a nightclub everyone would be dancing home! ⭐️
בועעעעזזז!!!!

This is the most distorted Iraqi Arabic I ever heard in my life. If you claim your grandfather is Dawood Al- Kuwaiti then you should speak good Iraqi Arabic. The correct words are
لا تبعد عني ولا تروح
One of the solist sigers in this song is Berry Sakharof; He was born in İzmir, Turkey.
You're right. He has an accent and does not pronounce the words exactly as he should.
Well he doesn't claim, Dudu Tassa is the grandson of Daoud Al-Kuwaity and he's named after him (Dudu is a nickname in Hebrew for David which is Daoud in Arabic). He is not the lead singer here, that's Berry as Adir mentioned, Dudu does the backing vocals. Dudu was born in Israel after his grandfather died and he doesn't speak Iraqi Arabic so it makes sense his accent will be off. I don't speak Arabic but from hearing Iraqi accents here in Israel it sounds like he made an effort to sing his grandfather's songs as accurately as he could.
you should hear my arabic in that case buddy... asa-mala-malekum bruh. If i see you, I'll be sure to shit on your english.
fauda!
