I have a i5-8500 optiplex laying around and I've I've been thinking I'll take the cpu/ram/m.2 out of it and build a budget gaming pc out of it, I've used one of those aliexpress rx580's before and they actually do pretty good. That optiplex isn't worth much as it sits but if I reccase it with some rgb and pair with a budget gpu it will make a decent budget gamer at 1080.

@@amirrazmi1474 only problem I've noticed with FSR3 is it uses more CPU resources to do what it does, and in this case the CPU needs every edge it can get to keep up with the GPU.
@@GAMINGBENCH I have a problem, when I play my CPU it only manages to be at 50% usage and rarely reaches 60% while the GPU works at full capacity, the problem is that I experience lag, I have the same setup as yours
That stupid game can consume more than 8 Threads when it comes to smooth 100 FPS+ experience.. and the worst thing is game looks very trash, don't deserve those requirements at all

It's too old, get at least a twelfth generation i3 and then be able to buy a more current graphics card and have a PC for at least a few years, even upgrade it to an i7.
How do u figure? GPU is literally at 100% all the time. I only saw maybe a slight bottleneck on Red Dead when the GPU would drop to 40% usage for a brief second. Overall these two paired beautifully. And if you use the cheapo 2048sp I'm sure the CPU may fair even better.

Maybe not amazing by today's standard, but this is still an absolutely usable budget system.

The GPU in the finals can achive 80fps with FSR Q but 4threads its a huge problem
