Brotherman, Love the beer! You and I are so "like" each other that watching you try to fish, oar and drink makes me remember soooo many time I have tried this trifecta, just to say.."here hold my beer"!!! But you had no beer technician to help. Love the vids bro.
Thanks for making videos of what all of us go through when they fish all the lows the highs and in-between thats what I like most about watching you fish
Yeah - a ride up or down river is just what’s needed when I’m wound up. I’ve been known to talk to myself too when out by myself fishing - “man, I can breathe” or “God I love this!”
Ha ha, some of the most fun I've had as well as some of the most frustrating days on the water were solo floats. It's really fun when the wind picks up!
Thanks for the entertaining video. BTW, I finally invested in a knot kneedle because of neuropathy in my fingers. It’s really been a Godsend and has removed a lot of frustration over tying knots I used to be able to handle easily. Very good product.
I am watching this from Scotland and it looks brilliant I like the size of the craft your sitting on we have a smaller one ok for Northern Scotland it’s American made and it’s as safe as the Bank of England I have fly fished in Alaska and Canada a few years back and I had a ball but this pandemic is driving us mental no fishing over here so good to watch some fishing over in your patch peace and love from Scotland 🏴✊👍🎣🇺🇸
Thats my favorite stretch of the MO. Nice job threading the passages. Careful a little lower cuz bone bruiser and cupcake rapids can be a lil dicey this time of year! Stay Huge.
Greetings from the Eastern Shore of Mary! Fishing here used to be roughly 75% boating and 25% casting to breaking striped bass. The ratio hadn’t improved. You got out of the mid-Atlantic region just in time. It looks like you’re experiencing the western version of the boom days here. I can’t wait for interstate travel to open. I need to go to New England and the Rockies. Your videos are armchair angling candy. Thank you.
Nice. I must say the Missouri looks much different, not to mention beteer, than it does here in central Missouri. Its the last river in Missouri I wish to fish. 🤨
Bravo and thanks. You are one of the few, if not the only, UA-camr that has praised Whitefish. People need to realize their importance in the ecosystem.
Don't worry about delivery. Baseball wise, both passes would've been right in the mitt! These guys just have to learn to use their net or you'll have to share your bobbers as well tying 'em to the can as a floating safety wire!
I like the idea of sharing a beer with others on the river. Won't work here, as it's all hiking in the middle of BFE, so if you do see another fella fishing the stream, a pleasant smile or wave hides the true thought of "If you come within my zone of terror, I will end you." Between these fishermen, bears and rattlesnakes...fishing is sort of a dangerous way to momentarily escape a work-week of crazy.
Spent most of the summer rafting by myself. Really hard to fish and row, harder row and land a fish. Sad to say that I to have lost a rod leaving the fly in the water unattended while rowing. Remember a wet net is a good net.
You should carry a split ring pliers, when you want to take a split shot off all you have to do is put the point in the opening of the shot and pry it open
Ok dude, i want to fish with you but I'm bring better beer (no offense). Hey, whitefish are scrappy and fight as well as RBs in my experience (don't taste as well tho). Will they bite an egg pattern?
Sometimes I don't know what to think of Ben. He seems old school at times but then he resorts to Pautzke fireballs. But I'll keep watching. At least you don't see him in competitions using the fish as a football.
Use some parachute cord looped off your frame to hold your oars out of the water . Easy in or out. If you catch your oar on the down stream it will ruin your day. You know. Glad you are not planting idea in peoples heads in my backyard.
Stick to the short toss on the freebie beers...never over estimate a randos ability to catch or you'll just end up hucking a brew off a stranger-angler's eye!
Thank you for making Monday's a ton better. Especially the ones when it's pouring rain and I'm just killing time.

You’re really good at talking to yourself.
I wonder if he maintains the same running commentary to himself even when he isn't filming?

I think I’m getting the line driver by Gerber. I’ll let you know if I like it more than the knot kneedle (if I get it )
@@mdprogamer94 Thanks! I didn’t knowGerber made a knot tool. Looking forward to your review.
Just clicked this vs a Danny Duncan video keep up this content man! Huge fan!
Best intro ever, hands down
Dumb question, how do you get back to your truck?
Shuttles...you pay people to Shuttle you....every fly fishing guide who floats has a shuttle service
I was wondering the same.
order a pizza to where you pull out, and have the driver drive you up with a nice tip. Cheaper than a cab!
This is one of your best ones yet

Thank you for what you do! I was up there last Sunday and man, there was tons of ice in the water by the ramps.

I’m stuck in COVID-19 quarantine for 14 days (not sick) so this was definitely a treat!
Put some MoJo on my Rod!!!!! You know the Rod you are giving me! Thanks for the videos!
No no no. That's my new rod. 🤣
Hope so anyway.
That looks so fun.
What's your setup for solo floats? How do you put in and takeout?
"WELCOME TO CRAIG MONTANA! HOME OF THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE!"
Ralph Wiggum goes fly fishing 10:38 xD

Thanks for sharing a nice day on the Missouri. That used to be my home water. Brings back a lot of memories.
This is the one thing I wake for
I’m in Kansas City and that’s the prettiest I’ve ever seen the Missouri River 😂
Lol quite a bit different up there in Montana!
Keep doing your thing! Damn I love these videos.
“Beer delivery system” new cooler sticker perhaps?
Don't worry about delivery. Baseball wise, both passes would've been right in the mitt!

How'd you do the shuttle fishing alone? Hitch hike to the put-in?
What's your setup for shuttling when solo? Bike? Motorcycle?
Nice to donate beers. Christmas spirit
Love it! Sooo… how do you get back and forth between the load in and out??
Spoiler alert. Next week’s video covers that.
I have always loved floating the upper M and eye of the nostril is really a fun rapid at high flows;)
Great video. What weight pole were you using?
You need to mount a beer cannon 😂👍🔥

Are those streamlight oars? How do you like them?
Wish my day was like yours. I just got back from getting skunked. Oh well, that’s why they call it fishing and not catching.
Glad to see you're wearing a PFD. I see too many people floating solo without one.
I never go on any water without a PDF. solo or not, lol I was a lifeguard for years... I still always wear one.... ntm it doubles as my fishing vest
@@taylorcole8225 me too.
The Mighty Mo HFF! 🎣🤨👍
What’s that rod your always using? With the orange hydros?

Nostril rapid definitely better left during low water. Reds get worked on that part of the Missouri. It’s terrible.
I'm just here at work, I'm supposed to be taking this car apart. But I think I'm going to watch this instead!
Can a tee shirt cannon handle a Miller Light? Strafing the waders could be fun.
Hi Ben! Where do you like to put your split shot on a double nymph rig?
Above the nymphs
@@HugeFlyFisherman Thank you for replying!
You should do a video on how to swing big meat for bucknasty browns
What is “fishing close to the reds?” Reds were mentioned a couple times in the video.
ua-cam.com/video/rl3anVYlPO0/v-deo.html
Drinking better beer would certainly get you more fish!
Hey, I've been trying to find good patterns for winter. Eggs seem to be your go to??
Egg video drops in 2 weeks.

What kind of boat is that?
"Let's find some fish that want to eat with their mouth, and not their butt" lol
I think if you tweak your length between nymphs it might cut down on the fowl hooks.
I’m not fishing for poultry, dude.
@@HugeFlyFisherman oops... meant foul... not sure why I f'd that up. I know the difference, maybe the morning caffeine hadn't kicked in.
I've definitely seen 1 dillion guided butt-flops on that Missouri River cliff. Taint-check.
Do you have to row back ?
I would have loved to have seen how you shuttled your raft by yourself.
The question is, how’s you get up to your rig?
Hey Ben! It's not winter for another week!
...awesome video though
Definitely jumped off both rocks
New nymphing line?
Yep, I thought that was Hopedale.
Yeah, it’s pretty recognizable.
It helps them jump higher when you pull up on the rod when they jump. 😂😂😂
👍🏻 I was late on this one
Yo it’s Ben! I Heard he’s a huge fly fisher
What are "Reds"?

Its fish its fish... River Monsters episode 9 “Asian Slayer”
Pretty huge

Great entertainment bud. Enjoyed the video. Insta sub.
Comment just to comment. Stay huge
Thought you said sold winter float and I’m like nooooo
You are forgetting the slippage of the boat when tossing beers, aim over their head and they should be able to catch it.
Did anybody else see what looked like a bear at 5:06 on the left side
I thought all that scenery looked familiar. Missouri river is a great float. Way to not get hung up on the nasal passages!
Jump rock!! I floated with a guy who got married on top of that rock. Hoping they are...rock solid
I've never seen that ramp before and now you've burned the spot, great job!
I rarely catch white fish! Damn near never actually.
Can I comment if I’ve seen someone belly flop off the rock?
A bald headed eagle! Really? Wow.
Your net doubles as an excellent beer receiving device if you have bricks for hands like me
We have bigger fish in the real Craig Montana!!
Neat
@@HugeFlyFisherman ya probably shouldn't claim it if your not cool with getting called out
rio big nasty?
Orvis something
I bought a couple "you suck at fly fishing" stickers as stocking stuffers. My family members needs to know the truth.

100 % missurey river
first after youtube outage
Thats not the Missouri river below Craig
Thanks for clarifying that Captain Obvious.
Definitely not the Missouri, it’s so obviously the Cuyahoga River just south of Cleveland
What river is this? I fly fish a lot but don’t recognize this
@@HeliosDroneWorks I am not sure probably a river near his house in Colorado
2 eggs over easy...brah, you funny...
The Way you talk bru, no friends needed
Today I learned that fishing with a bobber, a sinker and an artificial salmon egg is fly fishing. ;-)
