Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 кві 2023
- This may be my weirdest idea ever. Can you make money in free to play by intentionally burning food? Well today we will find out.
Now the reason that burnt food is worth anything is do to runescape's collecting community. This is a group of players who collect everything and anything in oldschool runescape. Check out there discord below to learn more about burnt item colecting

So today I am going to be making a fresh F2P account. We will be starting from level 1 cooking and seeing how many baked goods I can burn!

I love how you still cut, fill and ice burnt cakes; that's the level of dedication any baker should aspire to.
Pantheon would be proud.
Actually they cut, fill, and ice the cake THEN they cook it.
Never even thought of that 😂 I love this game
New SirPugger vid coming in 3 days "low level F2P bots mass cooking food.. but why?"
I know it's a joke but I actually think this is something that couldn't really be botted. It's such a niche group of players collecting the burnt food that they wouldn't want to risk their collections by buying off of botters.
How would they know? If someone came in with a couple k breads, how do they know it is botted and not from someone like Flipping Old School?
@@Sparrowly1 I'm willing to bet literally all of the burnt food collections are bottled either buy others or the collection accounts themselves bot it
Just heard the spooky music in my head as I read that
@@Ghi102 If one source on Discord is suddenly selling a steady stream of thousands of burnt bread, that would raise a lot of questions. Remember that burnt food can't be sold on the GE, unlike other botted items.
The amount of people saying "Oh you can just recook, cooked things to make it burnt!" that only works for like...1-2 items because they are quest items. This is why the burnt items are priced the way they are, because of the scarcity because of limited time.
Thank you I was wondering about this concept of double cooking but makes sense now.
Can you use gwd to lower cooking lvl to keep burning ?
not for much longer
If you're doing the DT quest; there's a portion in the snowy region where it degrades your cooking level. It requires membership but you can get like 1/x cooking which makes it so that you get a 100% burn rate on most foods.
Hah, I was actually thinking of exactly this rewatching your last collection vid! Nice work as always!
"Cooking is unfortunately a very quick skill to level up" is not something i would ever hear about this game
man i wish i knew about this months ago, i literally spent 50+ hours stealing wine of zamorak for my first bond
I would be interested in seeing a members version of this, using the stat reduction of the Desert Treasure quest area. That can bring you down to lvl1, meaning you have over and hour an a half to work your way back to 99, cooking different foods during those intervals. Plus, since you're on a members account, you don't need to bother with trade restrictions, and its infinitely repeatable.
11:32 made me tab for a sec to check discord...
Flipping trolling us hard
@@Ghi102 Flipping sloppily editing his video more like.
To quote the Persona 3 memes, ' I WILL BURN MY BREAD! '
Love how creative you are as a creator :)
I am not sure if this comment will ever be read but it must be said. I came back to this game after 10+ years wanting to relive the awesome gameplay memories of my childhood and it makes me happy that their are content creators like you still invigorating people to experience this gem, thank you for all you do God Bless.
Im only 15 and this game is 10/10 so honestly anyone can enjoy it unless they are boring and love minecraft bed wars
@@WhatDoYouWant000u will never ever experience peak runescape in 2005-2007 that is the difference
@@alldud13 huh?
love to see a video of money makers at different starting cash thresholds. Like consistent ways to make money at 1m starting where the materials are cheaper, 5m starting, etc
I freaking love these kinda videos from you bro
I do this when I’m really bored and feel like making F2P players happy.
I hop to F2P worlds and give very low lvl accounts food to cook as long as they trade back only the burnt items. That way you don’t have to rely on yourself being restricted to hustling solo.
Been doing this for years on Oldschool and all my friends make fun of me for it lol.
*laughs in 200k stacks of Burnt Food*
Since you did this for years I gotta ask.
Did burnt food retain its value better then gold?
@@Drag0nvil if you’re referring to the currency, “good pieces (gp)”. Well, yes of course. You can always sell burnt food for 1gp regardless. But it does hold up the value nicely without any effort.
Plus a lot of it is superstition through years of theory that a supposed skill ‘could’ use burnt food. But that’s just Oldschool nostalgic crap lol.
Never in all my years of playing RuneScape would I have thought burned items would sell
Back in 2016 when the burned food purchase was fairly rare amongst normal players I used to collect free or offer 10 gp ea per burnt to get massive amount of trades each hour. Made 5-10m hour profit for long periods of times. Good times
Well Previous Rank 1 in Cooking btw 😀 Woot! Always Great to see Item Collections!
Just started a new account to follow your unlock series. Perfect way to kick the account off to 50 cooking
Honestly, the only thing I found surprising here was that the buy limit for cake tins is only 40. I mean, why?
it for some odd reason was used to transfer money from botters at some point if i remember right :P
some botfarms would manipulate certain items to transfer the wealth to a mule account without trading to avoid detection. idk how it would work exactly but most items with low and seemingly random trade limits were likely used for this purpose and so jagex decreased buy limits.
Always a good day when flippin drops a video!
I have literally seen the guy who bought the burnt food at the end saying "Buying burnt" at 301 GE
Love the vids man!! Long time subber 💪🏽💜
HAHHAHAA voy a empezsr a hacer esto ahora mismo!! Gracias!!! Podré comprar mi primer bond!! Saludos desde España ❤
love the videos - what in the universe happened to that poor spreadsheet's text though -- looks like it was scanned and faxed multiple times
wtf i thought of burnt food last night. and here you are making a video now lmao
You should try out the imp drops in f2p too, people buy the non-ge flyers and spot potions for a lot!
Where can I find people to sell spot potions/flyers to?
@@nascarguy2003 probably the ge
Just last night, I watched Green Dragon Bot's video of him hiring F2P players to burn food for him. Seems you've got a similar idea to him. Nice nice
Read my mind. That series cracks me the hell up.
This is like the flip side of GreenDragonBot's latest content lol, love it
i just thought about that some days ago ... you got me curious now
Great video man!
You should team up with Green Dragon Bot... He lost a bit of money trying to make a burnt food factory lol
Thanks for the plug my stack has increased
Haha I've seen videos from a few months ago talking about burnt food collectors, not surprised it's an interesting money maker
If only I knew this niche collector community existed back when I first started playing, I'd have been able to afford a full set of rune gear so much faster as a newbie
I only recently got back into osrs myself after years of watching YT videos on it. I haven't done cooking yet and even though I'm a member, I'm just gonna train cooking this way, make some extra money fuck it
Bro you are such a troll for putting that discord notification sound in
its interesting because the lower the level the item to cook makes it rare burnt wise because it takes no time to hit a point where you can't burn it anymore
First! Pretty cool idea for a F2P money maker. 😅
And btw for everybody saying ”cook it twice for burnt food” this only works for certain types of meat. Burnt cakes/Bread/pies cant be obtained this way.
@@Ganksen6 Suomalainen
just realized you could take advantage of the hosidius kitchen mini-game in order to get burnt pies, pizzas, and stews
the minigame only gives 5 xp per cook attempt and you could drop the completed dishes rather than turning them in.
i think those items have different IDs and are not tradeable, not sure tho
Although it is members content I wonder if draining your cooking with snow north of trollheim would allow you to burn food items again
Are you sure switching to apple pies right away is better? They also give more exp than meat pies when you successful cook them, so you may be leveling up faster than you would otherwise. I'd want to put some numbers into a spreadsheet to make sure
You can just go to Al Kharid to cook its right next to the bank and the door doesn't close on you.
Ok that discord notification got me
Thoughtful of you to bring some exit liquidity to an old fed up collector 😅
that discord ping got me good
!!!this is rly was good money making method
Edgeville general and bank might be quicker for banking transfers than Varrock general?
I see you also seen gdb's video what a great and hilarious idea
Came here to say this, his video just came out a few days ago
Yep made the same comment. VERy similar timing
This remind me a bit of when I was much younger playing in like 05 ' 06' or 07 I kinda forget but anyways I use to cook pies and cake as a free to play account all the time. It was one of the things I just really liked doing idk why? I also use to make pizza for the higher healing foods in 1 slot too.
you should do a video about crafting battle staves
Is ot possible to use stat boost to lower cooking?
Wait til the burnt toast prayer comes out lol@! Haha
11:32 had me thinking i had a discord notification lol
I've always wanted to do this lol, see I have so many random alts
I’ve actually been saving all of my burnt food to sell to this discord I have several thousand burnt food in total. Cakes, sharks, sea turtle, anglers all kinds of stuff.
so i have the cooking brew at POH wonder if you could bring your low lvl to POH brew up +5 so you got the low burn chance but you few more levels to go at this before you have to quit and use account as something else ... would the bond invest be worth the more you would be able to do with that money maker there
Sir pugger is watching this bald cooker in f2p world
Loved it. Surely there is a way to lower your stats to keep burning food? How many things in the game lower skill stats?
In members, you can use the Chill effect to lower your stats, and this way you can even cook food below the minimum level required by starting a whole inventory and letting the chill effect lower your stats before the cooking is finished -- this is the only way to get Burnt oomlie wraps.
if you cook on a fire as opposed to a range you burn food more often too :)
Some things like cakes and bread can't be cooked on a fire though.
Could be good for anyone wanting to try this with fish, meat or potatoes though.
What if you go to gwd snowy area to lower your stats?, and tele out to cook some food after?
I know this isn't the nature of this video. But there has been a lot of items dropped in Edge bank. They dropped 1.4m worth of tuna. They are in multiple worlds but I can't see the bots that drop. Help! I can't figure it out!
Big brain now would be to have a bot snipping burnt food in shops on all ftp worlds
Kush Patel is the definition of a day 1
You would be perfect applicant as a cook for Rick Dollars.
You can double cook meat to turn it into burnt meat.
If you reduce your cooking stats on a main you can do this without the alt
Would it be better to do:
1-10 bread
10-20 redberry pies
20-30 meat pies etc like you did
With the redberry pies I've seen people buying half pies so it's extra profit as you can eat the successfully cooked ones into half
So back in the days you could cook potatoes and sweet corn on a open fire. but they seem to fixed that.. (it would always fail)
Need a collab with Green Dragon Bot doing this again.
Can't believe the shopkeepers stole your burnt cakes.
Good vid
every video starts with the word now
That is how I earned my first bond...
Same then I made millions killing bots in lms
@@clashoclan3371 you guys have any other tips for a rs n00b, just started playing yesterday seems like a chill game so far.
After watching one of you’re previous videos about weird collections and money makers, I started selling burnt food. Really steady way to make small to medium amounts of money. 😅 I don’t cook it but grab whatever people drop. Made a fair amout so far, just under a mill over the course of a year.
Haha same
Nice vid green dragon bot
Can't you do that on main and tele to outside of gwd to lower your cooking as much as you want? and then mythic cape tp to cook next to the chest and range. or fight karamel at nmz to lower stats.
If you have gwd teleport and access to mythic guild, are you seriously going to bother burning food for money? This method is only worthwhile for low leveled/F2P players who don't have access to better methods
Be me, looking for new money making guide, see Burnt Food as a means, look back at my Main, lv99 Cooking, dreams scattered, mfw i will never be able to make mad bank selling to a niche market, goes back to crafting Ruby Necks and High Alc-ing them.
Could you not lower your cooking level by some method such as leeches in mortyania? Or in GWD? There’s numerous ways to lower stats. Could that not increase your chances to burn?
Could you stat drain to burn more?
new collection idea: uncooked cake
For some reason I thought if you use a cooked food item on a fire, then you get it burned
It used to work
You can lower your stats by either tele grabbing wine of zammy or just spam click it. Idk that helps burn more food
That definitely helps, that's actually big brain
Pretty sure it only drains combat stats
@NecnonNefas just checked, it's all stats and almost got stacked out by the wizards😂
Nice.
I remember Zogre disease lowers stats. I wonder if that can be abused to lower success rate?
Cant u just burn stuff at the witches house in rimmington? Or does that not work for cake
TIL burnt food is the gold standard in Geilnor
Next update will be about why new accounts can’t burn food until they have 50 quest points or some shit 😂😂😂
I guess I better stop dropping my burnt food then..
Did you know if you use a stove on a cooked item you can burn some cooked items ingame will make this easier depending what your cooking
Doesn't work on bread, pies or cakes. The "double cooking" method is why burned meat is so cheap, since you can do it indefinitely
How does PKing work with a new trade restricted account? If you got PKed with a bunch of noted burnt foods, and had 3 items considered more valuable, would the PKer get the noted burnt stuff?
I saw something in the PK restrictions about noted items being dropped with a limit of 20. Perhaps this would be quicker?
Hey man, next time you try this just wanted to let you know, cooking food on a range increases the chance of successful, compared to a log fire you make.
Pretty sure the buying limit of 40 cake tins is because of Luthor
this video made me think. why dont we have a spell that could convert burnt food to cooked food with a 50 50 chance of cooking well and disappearing into ash. i think that woudl be a good idea for self sustaining accounts
Didn't Green Dragon Bot just release a video on this?
chasing after burn rate instead of cook rate. thats wild
Could also lower cooking at certain places to always burn food
we need an update video whys range gear tanking and other stuff!!!!!
Is it possible to use the properly cooked food on a fire/range to burn it like you can with meat?
No
so what youre telling me is i should have held on to my burnt food... whoops lol
