I already bought both units and have 3, 15kwh 48-volt batteries ready to go!! Also, 40, 410 watt panels. I'll probably buy a 4th battery soon! Lovin' it! 😂
Love the upgraded MPPTs and the cleaner box. For anyone who needs to expand beyond a single AIO, moving to a GridBOSS with inverter combo is an excellent option. HOWEVER, for me, the GridBOSS is currently a non-starter because of the language in Section 7.5 of the manual that says: WARNING: Use ONLY COPPER WIRE for ALL GridBOSS connections! Failure to use copper wire could result in equipment damage as the unit has not been approved to accept other types of wiring. This includes the connections to all GridBOSS lugs and breakers, regardless of breaker rating. I'm assuming this will be changed once full testing and certification is done, but having to change out my 4/0 aluminum SER for 3/0 copper would more than negate any cost savings. And the whole "the inverter can now be moved almost anywhere" -- measure your meter-to-FlexBOSS and FlexBOSS to inverter price then check that copper price again and try saying that with a straight face.
Yeah it's a weird one not allowing aluminum. I suppose you could use Polaris connectors to transition to copper before entering the Gridboss? Although it did say it only loses one if it's UL ratings if you use aluminum. Maybe you don't need that certificate in your area?
Xp series - off grid with grid backup Pv series -grid interconnected Boss series - grid gateway with easy remote location of inverters and batteries, backwards compatibility with pv series
Not needed here, but extremely excited to see what the community comes up with. Now, the 12xp, that excites a lot of us.

Very interested in seeing a follow up video showing the remote management user interfaces, especially for the case when the internet is down.
Thanks 👍 🎉 im excited to play with this

Great info and new pice of equipment
Can you hook two of these together so I can run 48kW PV 32kW into grid and 10kW into batteries?
Really excited
Is it or will it be CEC California electrical code compliant?
My 18KPV has so many issues
Flex boss gird what 12k 6000xp 18k and now 12000xp, goodness, fix your naming convention
Nah, you just need to learn
@@WattsMiner I know them, I'm speaking about marketing mostly
Xp series - off grid with grid backup
Pv series -grid interconnected
Boss series - grid gateway with easy remote location of inverters and batteries, backwards compatibility with pv series
My 4 - 6000xp's and 8 - wall mount batteries work just fine for redundancy
