My Cane Corso was the best dog I've ever owned! He was exceptional with my children, our other dog and even with the adult cat that we adopted. Twice he saved our children from being attacked by a neighboring Pit Bull without actually fighting the dog. He intercepted the Pit Bull while it was fully charging towards our son, grabbed it by the throat and pinned it to the ground without so much as a puncture. As long a my husband or I were home, he was friendly with strangers that we invited into our home, however, he wouldn't let anyone enter the yard or house uninvited. If I were speaking with a stranger at the door, he would position himself in front of me, and would calmly observe the situation, without barking or growling. He was obedience trained, but all other behaviors were natural. He lived to make us happy! Like I said, he was the best dog I've ever owned!
I have a Cane Corso and she's 9 months old she is so sweet as adorable dog I've ever had sometimes I swear she's like human this dog stole my heart after 2 weeks❤❤❤❤
Our 15 week CC puppy saw my husband walking in our yard in the dark last night. Not recognizing him, the pup (who had never barked or growled) began a low growl looking out the glass door and then turns and ran to find me and sat directly in front of me at my feet . I was shocked that even at this young age he has the instinct to “guard”.

My recently departed Rottweiler was a great dog the only problem we really had with him was he was overly protective of kids. We would have to lock him up when toddlers were over because if they were crying for any reason and someone went to pick up the child he would get aggressive my kids were in high school when we got him so it wasn’t like I could socialize him at a young age for that as there were no toddlers in the family at that time. I have grandkids now and when they would come over he would not let them out of his sight even refusing to sleep in his bed next to mine. He would sleep on the floor outside the grandkids bedroom door. My Cane Corso (Dino) is 9 months old and os great with both my kids. My daughter is 2 and my son is 7. We brought are Cane Corso into are home when he was just 6 weeks old. He did go to a training school where he lived there for 2 months when he was 4 months old. In my opinion as long as a Cane Corso is introduced to children at a young age and exercised well he or she will be great with kids. I cant stress the exercising part enough though. Hey! I have a quick question, kids can by hyper and energetic at times so due to this will a Cane Corso get aggressive? Also since sometimes accidents do happen, will Cane Corso bite or react aggressively if it is stepped on its tail or paw by accident?
My 9 week year is stubborn but intelligent and full of energy but I find that she keeps nipping my maltipoo sometimes she bites with a grip but I know she’s playing but the maltipoo sometimes is not into it all the time

Hi, it really depends what your after but our Perfect Puppy course covers the entire first year and is a great foundation no matter what: www.fenrirdogtraining.com/p/perfect-puppy-course
I tried to introduce my 4 yr old corso into a new house my girlfriend has a male husky and a female Morkie the males were fine until the female got involved and they fought 3 times the last time I made the mistake of putting my arm in the middle of them and got messed up pretty bad any tips or advice for future encounters
Grab them by the collar, and twist your wrist so that your crate pressure on the dog so as to choke it. That way the dog passes out and you don't get hurt.
When two dogs get into fights, if there are two people available that's better but if it's just you, grab the back legs of one of the dogs and pull backward, it will make the dog lose balance and fall over, but not hurt the dog. If you have two people then one of you grab a dog each, but if it's just one person grab the dog who started the fight as the other dog is probably just defending itself and will stop fighting when the other dog is down. However, if the fight is a GSD vs a Yorkie, doesn't matter if the Yorkie started the fight, grab the GSD's legs. And whatever you do, don't take the advice of the other person in this comment thread as choking a dog out can severely disable a dog, it's basically causing a stroke, as their brain isn't getting enough oxygen, also it takes a long time to actually choke a dog out, it takes at least 30 seconds of pure pressure to choke a dog out, and in 30 seconds you can lose your grip. Additionally, in dog fights dogs go for the neck as it's the most dangerous place to get bit, a dog's collar is near the neck if you grab the dog's collar you are putting yourself in danger.
@@ginjaninja7147 if you're being choked you will stop what you're doing. Grabbing the legs will be difficult because the dog isn't standing still and gives you a chance to get bitten, making it more dangerous for those who want to stop it. Grabbing by the collar gives you way more control even when the dog let's go and may want to bite you. Nice little idea of yours though.
@@BAKED_P0TAT0e-d1 grabbing by the legs to disrupt a dog fight is actually recommended by all the dog trainers I have gone to for my reactive dog along with my dog's primary vet. Also, I said it earlier but a dogs collar is positioned on the dog's neck, and necks are where dogs bite in a fight, putting your hand near a dog's neck whilst two dogs, are in a fight is dangerous for you and the dog because if two dogs get into a fight, they get into a fight, if a dog bites someone and the cops find out, the dog will be put down.
@@ginjaninja7147 you're not going to grab the collar of the dog that has his neck bitten, so there's no danger there. It's difficult to grab a dogs legs while their moving. Much easier to go for the collar.

A relative has a 1 yr old female cane corso/dogs argentino mix that has shown questionable behavior towards my 9 yr old son that sat in a chair where the corso was. She saw it as hers and turned to air bite at my son’s ear. 😓 It worried me.
Hi, please answer me🤗 My brother has a Cane Corso that he got when the dog was 2. They have 4 girls ages 16 to 2. I have a 3 and twin 18 month olds. They want me to visit with them at their home and are not willing to put up the dog while we are there. The dog has growled and followed me around last time I was there over 3 years ago. Really scared me. Now I have kids they want me to come for a visit, but I have since heard that no one will watch the dog because he growls still. Never has bitten anyone but has cornered my sis in law once when their youngest was a baby. They say he is great now and they also said friends come over all the time. What do you think?? Should I put my fears aside or are they being unreasonable to not put him up or outside? They did say that previous owners did that when people did that and do not want to do that to him after he has come so far along. What to do??
Children aren’t the issue. The dog was guarding his family even against you. Saw you as a threat. It is the owners job to give proper guidelines to his dog to make him understand you are family.
I’ve had Coon hounds, German Sheppards and two Dobermans. My wife grew up with Newfoundlander’s. We are getting a overlap dog and on the fence on either a Doberman male or cane Corso male. We live in a house and our backyard backs on to a plaza ally. People use our backyard to access our neighborhood to steal and escape. I have 8 and 10 fences but still the crackheads make it over. I want my wife and family to be safe if they are in the backyard. Which would you prefer and why? You might not respond but I am on the fence on which I should invest in. I will be trining Biden e and personal protection at a school. Thanks and waiting to response.
why do assholes cut there ears off i met a cane corso today and he was amazing with other dogs and children not a bad bone him so much that its my new favorite breed was the staffie deffo getting a pup
I've owned 2 Bull Mastiffs (both adopted as adults) and my female was just like this. My 2nd was a male and he had some behavioral issues when I got him. It took some time, but yes he was very protective, even over protective. We had to make sure that family and friends didn't try to play rough with him because he would get aggressive. It was the only issue I couldn't break him off, but since I knew what triggered it, I was able to control the situation. Also, he never was one to start a fight with other dogs, but if a dog would charge aggressively at him, he would fight with them. He was fine on leash, again if I could control the situation, but could be off leash in a dog park setting if the other dogs showed any aggressiveness. Keep in mind that I adopted him as an adult and had no prior history on him.
Love author👊They are fearless but they will never attack anyone if they dont feel that we are in danger.Corso is not aggressive but they are very suspicious .They always checking on you first .If you coming to my house and act good dog will will be good .And if you are trying to do harm to our family it will tear you apart
this guy talks like a cane corso is a monster they are so cute. i owned in my live 4 cc but grow up with 6 from my parents. these dogs are the best dogs. when children wrestling and play they will do nothing. they know when real danger is there. they are so intelligent they know when it is real danger. just dont train them to guard or protect. if you train it then it is possible
there's more than a few news articles of cc's killing one child because they were play wrestling with another. may not mean to kill the child but they have big teeth and strong jaws and if they grab a childs neck to "stop the fighting" it can be deadly. It takes very little bite force to puncture a child's neck.
it's probably because when a person buys this guardian type dog they feel the need to train it to guard and protect, which is unnecessary and usually will be interpreted by the dog to act aggressive. This breed only needs obedience training as the other guardian characteristics are already in their genetics from thousands of years of breeding.
This guy doesn’t know shit. First Of all the corso isnt a breed but type of dog ! 2 : there are not cane corso around the world all mixed with rotties boxer and Great Dane .. u can find few left in Puglia but it’s really hard ! The US ones are mixed with pit bull rottie Neapolitan mastiff and Great Dane and the Europe. One full of boxer and blu mastiff
He knows more than you about dogs and Not all CC are mixed in the US. There's breeders here who focus on breeding non-mixed only. So your comments ate redundant.
@@BAKED_P0TAT0e-d1 go and check Marino cane corso .. there is a long history behind this type of dog . he has video and proves that all the cane corso are mixed … it’s a long history I can’t write it all .. go and check than …

Would you say that everything stated is true for the bullmastiff ? Thank you for this video.
@@dionnemosier3324 thank you very much for the information :)
Love author👊They are fearless but they will never attack anyone if they dont feel that we are in danger.Corso is not aggressive but they are very suspicious .They always checking on you first .If you coming to my house and act good dog will will be good .And if you are trying to do harm to our family it will tear you apart
It is really a great breed. YES!
But you have to observe them. Its not that easy ... really!
this guy talks like a cane corso is a monster they are so cute. i owned in my live 4 cc but grow up with 6 from my parents. these dogs are the best dogs. when children wrestling and play they will do nothing. they know when real danger is there. they are so intelligent they know when it is real danger. just dont train them to guard or protect. if you train it then it is possible
there's more than a few news articles of cc's killing one child because they were play wrestling with another. may not mean to kill the child but they have big teeth and strong jaws and if they grab a childs neck to "stop the fighting" it can be deadly. It takes very little bite force to puncture a child's neck.
I don’t know where you made that up he was being pretty fair to them lol the fact you made a whole bullshit thing up
OMG! His Cane Corso pup died? What happened?
Will made a video about what happened if you'd like to know more, ua-cam.com/video/fg74FcSKz5k/v-deo.html&pbjreload=101 💔
Your into Corsos but I see that you have a lab ? lol
He had a CC and it had heart problems. Unfortunately the dog didn't make it.
Nah it was his bull mastiff?
Everything I am hearing points to this being a terrible family dog and is unsuitable to 95% of the people out there. Is that a fair assessment?
it's probably because when a person buys this guardian type dog they feel the need to train it to guard and protect, which is unnecessary and usually will be interpreted by the dog to act aggressive. This breed only needs obedience training as the other guardian characteristics are already in their genetics from thousands of years of breeding.
It's 'Ca'ne corso, not conie corso. Can't believe I even need to educate this.
No need to be a jerk about it.
Educate yourself on how to talk to people. Be better.

@@BAKED_P0TAT0e-d1 cane corso are mixed 101% ! Prove me wrong .. show me the facts !
@@armandocostigliola2597 alright, show me your 101% proof they are mixed.
