Zo the kit would be better? Does the kit come with a esc, transmitter etc? Would like to buy one for my son. And build it together.

.... the best part of building up your own RC is knowing that parts are not going to go flying off. 👍 Most of the Tamiya & Kyosho Kit versions come with either a brushed 540 motor and/or a ESC. For me personally being able too build it is just as fun as driving one around. It gave me a lot of tips for maintaining a RC making sure it was clean after running it. Blowing off all the dirt and dust with an air nozzle. Greasing the bearings and u-joints, going over all the bolts and hex head things making sure nothing has come loose. And one thing I learned the hard way is always keep your RC on some sort of store-bought stand or something that keeps it off of the ground. RC‘s that have rubber tires sitting for a period of time especially soft compound tires which can be expensive if you aare racing... can develop flat spots on them which takes a while to return to their original state and sometimes they don’t. LOL
Yes, I agree man, most of the times we get a RTR and at least i end up taking it apart to know how it works and see whats inside of it. For the stands I've make some wood stands for them. Probably a good video to make. Showing the wood fancy stands, HEHEHE
Goncalo Quinas For sure check out the aluminum TFL brand stands that are adjustable and have holes for various dia. shock tubes. Which are a blessing to have when filling oil, or rebuilding them. They also make a sweet little aluminum work stand that’s well worth the $. Duratrax makes a mini stand for small scale RC’s which is what I would model after. A full size one is not 1:12 scale and smaller friendly. Here’s a link for the mini version they make

Its a nice vid and all but I found it hard to watch having random clips of the RC driving. I just wanna see the difference between kit & rtr. Would have been nice if you put the running videos at the end.
It’s easy, every clip of the run is on the kit version. Then on the table you have the kit on the right and the RTR version on the left.
Does c24 come preinstalled with the bigger motor?
Sweet footage, always buy a kit version if you want to get more bang for your buck. Kit versions typically come with better parts like metal links, softer compound tires, shocks.... etc. Weather it’s a DIY kit aka: ARTR or a Kit version being able to paint the body how you want, installing the electronics you have or want is part of the fun. A benefit of a Kit version which is all there was growing up is for one they were cheap and still are these days... The Feiyua Eagle12th scale 4wd buggy is now sold in a kit version.
This one sure comes with a lot of improvements and to make a scaler out of it is better to start with the KIT version. As I get the RTR first I now have to change everything. HEHEHE

I agree with your line of thinking. I think everyone does. The problem with this specific product is that the kit comes without the controller and eletronics, and is still more expensive than the RTR. :(

Yes sir! The kit version has better parts indeed,but it's still lacking proportional controls,
proportional steering,and throttle,would make a world of difference,on that little truck

The kit version brings all of that. More power, a normal servo and also some softer tires. You need to have the esc, receiver and transmitter to complete the assemble. But it's all proporcional. The one on the video isn't upgraded yet, missing the esc.

Did not know that the kit came with better tires and bigger motor. I would like to see some of your wood stand builds. I have way to many RC'S to buy store bought stands. Right now i been using anything that keeps them off the ground. Thanks For Sharing !!

Well i don't know which should I buy now. Rtr or the diy one. I hate soft tire because i want to see the suspension going and u see he pressing the car?? It look like the suspension just do a little work. Then the soft tire do the most work. I also scare that if i buy the diy one will missing some piece. Tell me which one to buy.
I just got a KIT WPL B in blue KIT version and I was looking at the motor which seemed bigger and at the tires that are software and that it comes with a normal servo ! Time to start building it, I only need a small ESC for it :D
Where can I buy the electronics needed I bought the reciver and transmitter but the conneftions dontbmatch. I have no idea what to look for thisbis my very first rc. So I have no clue how electronics work

Aqui estou com uma dúvida. A bateria de 7.4V não faz mal no carrinho de 6V? Motor 6V, Servo 6V, Leds, nada disso tem problema com os 7.4V?
Nem funcionou com a bateria de 7.4V. Pelos meus cálculos aqui estou pensando em comprar um resistor de 0,82Ohm, pra ver se funciona.

That motor is the one that comes with the KIT version and fits nice there, i've not assemble it yet, but when i do, sure i will make the video too.
how long do those plastic diffs last. I want to buy one of these really bad. Normally the kit doesn't come with any electronics. I have 35$ laying around. And I love scale things.
So does the kit come with ALL the required electronics and also is the drive-train any better?

You will find things like that on a kids store, some small car toy with road signs, something like that, I found mine on a Chinese store near by. Just give them a new paint and ready to go

as Package came in, Transmitter/Reciver was missing (i ok with that Have my own gear anyway) ESC also was missing (which is more bad) and to top That for what ever Reasons exept 9 all screws are missing from the kit
Mine was ok. But the kit version doesn’t have radio or receiver, also doesn’t have battery. The screws is not normal for sure. But did you talk to gearbest?

Now something occurred to me. Isn't it possible that the engine and tires were improved also on the RTR, seen that you bought the kit later?
I'm thinking about that because i just bought an RTR, and would love if it came improved. I wanted to build it myself, but without the control it wouldn't functionate for me.
If i knew the kit version was superior, i would have tried to buy the controllers separated.
I don’t think they make that improvement. But if you buy the RTR version you must have the transmitter. You must open a disputed on it.

Só esclarecendo melhor:
1 - Esse servo não vem no RTR mas vem no KIT?
2 - O servo que vem no RTR não é proporcional? Ou o servo não tem nada a ver com proporcionalidade?
3 - O RTR vem com Transmissor, ESC e Servo Não proporcionais?
4 - A troca do motor seria opcional, só pra dar maior potência? Ou o motor também tem maior sensibilidade de velocidade? (Desejo andar em baixíssima velocidade também)
5 - Dos transmissores que você postou, a grande vantagem do GT3B é usar bateria ao invés de pilhas, ou dá pra adaptar baterias em outros transmissores mais baratos? Se sim, conheces algum com proporcionalidade?
