Coming from a third-world country, there were some things that were much higher priority than people's sexual orientation, like food, security, education. Am Kenyan, and am here to support our former president (even the current president has the same stand). The issue of homosexuality is at the very bottom of the list of the things we care about, actually it's not even on the list. We just don't care about this issue, we have a number of Kenyan celebrities who have publicly come out as gay, but nothing has happened to them. No one cares about their sexual lives. But, when they start promoting it on media and other spaces, that's where we draw a very thick line.

Coming from a third-world country, there were some things that were much higher priority than people's sexual orientation, like food, security, education. I will say though, that I feel as though gay rights are not a priority in the least for any country really as long as they are not being prosecuted criminalized etc. As long as people don't care, I think it is fine as long as a hate-targeted attack or crime whether in law or morality wise against these people is properly dealt with to create deterrents for others.
