Love the concept and functionality of your invention. great job man... Have you ever thought of putting a trolling motor on it? I have relatively the same boat you have, Colorado XP. I built a deck set up on it and added a seat riser with a swivel and put a 45 pound thrust Minkota on the back. For me, the only problem I see is there's not adequate room for the trolling motor. You have given me some great ideas, I'm going to kick this around a little bit and see if I can alter what you have done to accommodate my needs. Thank you for sharing your video.
Thanks! I’d love to see what you come up with! If somebody would come up with a motor that has a built in Tesla type battery, I’d be all over it. I just don’t like the idea of having to lug around a car battery. Course, I am getting older.....
@@lindaandreasen9735 Depends on how much you have in your bank account... here is a lightweight electric motor which should weighs about the same as a Minn Kota + Deep cycle batter which is around 40lbs:

Great setup. I bought some transom mount wheels that I still need to install but have to get some pressure treated wood on the back for a mounting plate. If I had seen your video last year I might have copied your design. Thanks for sharing this with all of us!

Is their a One man Pontoon boat club. I just got a Colorado xt Pontoon. Its heavy sure enough. But this Is a awsome thing.

Great set up. I'm wanting to purchase a mini pontoon, looking for recommenditions and I thibnk I want one in the 12 or 14' range

You guys have all asked questions on motors. You all need to check out scuba jet.com It is THE future of pontoon motors! Just an FYI if you want to put a moter on your boat you will need to registure it with the State, I live in Provo and had friends fined.
Thanks , I knew you had to do that. I’m not much for motors on a kick boat. In fact, I don’t recall ever seeing one with a motor in Utah. My friends in the South love them! Thanks for the comment!
@@lindaandreasen9735 I put a motor on mine this fall, awesome!! Still need to do some modifications for the hands free steering. I talked to guy that mounted his motor in front of him, seamed to work fine. Good time on Strawberry.

Does a trolling motor get in the way of wheel set up?
It makes it harder to use a motor. You can’t just tip the motor up and down. Harder, but certainly not impossible. I don’t use one, but some of my friends who do still say it’s worth it to simply fold the wheels up and down.
